The Best Samsung UN55D8000 55-Inch 1080p 240 Hz 3D LED HDTV (Silver) [2011 MODEL] Review
Every bit as good as I expected
Over the past A few years, I've been by using a 58" Panasonic Plasma TV. Not an undesirable TV, and not the highest either. It only agreed to be 1080i, it got hot pretty fast (which made the bedroom hot and the air condition kick on many times), and the dimensions were weird (I viewed entertainment centers that will fit a 60" TV, however the TV still wouldn't fit.). I felt an upgrade what food was in order.
I'll need to admit, looking for a TV was pretty fun. A great deal of work though. The research was overwhelming from time to time. Websites upon websites, magazines, books, different people's inputs, salesmen selling you different things depending on which store you went to, etc. I narrowed it as a result of one of several Sony HDTVs or perhaps a Samsung C or D series. After narrowing it down to those 2 brands, it turned out a little easier. I attended about 4 different Fry's Electronics and 7 different Best Buys to check on it out in numerous situations. After that, it came down for the UN55D8000 (boy, did I memorize those numbers). To actually choose easier, I became looking on Amazon, and my amazement, that they had it for $500 less that everybody else, plus free freight. Score!
With the free postage, it always requires a little longer. I would say, from the moment the order was placed, until it got a chance to my doorway, it took about 1.5 weeks. It came delivered from Home Direct, USA and had no problems with delivery. They were going to setup the tv screen, however i told them to not, since my entertainment center hadn't are available in yet. I showed the box, squeeze TV over a soft cloth (our bed's comforter) and installed the stand. Eight screws, easy. I connected the Directv receiver and also a PS3. There are a few settings you will placed in the start if the TV activates. Takes a couple of minutes, literally. Next, the enjoyment begins! Going from 1080i to 1080p is a big difference! I stood a recording of Chuck about the DVR also it almost looked live. I also watched some regular satellite programming and even the non-HD channels looked amazing.
After wiping the drool off the floor, I want to to look into the 3D the main TV. I popped inside the free copy of Shrek the next in the PS3, placed on the glasses and waited to be amazed. Aside through the amazing colors, it looked the same as 2D! WTH?! Then, Going reading somewhere how the PS3 does indeed play 3D movies, However with upgrading. I waited about Half an hour for your upgrade to end. After that, loaded the dvd again, and there was the movie with that funky 3D image. Hey wait, We have 3D glasses on, why that. Oh, oops. Batteries need to be set up in the glasses. Finally! The 3D image was awesome! Seriously, viewing television in 3D is amazing. I can't wait `til there's more media in 3D. As it stands today, the only real movies in 3D can be documentaries or cartoons, aside from several regular movies (i.e. Resident Evil, Step-up 3, etc.)
I just push the button last night, and so i can't give you a great deal more details. But, even if I did have an overabundance time, I can't think I could give you the detailed specs which you might be trying to find. I'm not an expert on home theater. Here's a summary of benefits and drawbacks:
PROS:
* Deficiency of a more impressive bezel truly does change lives. Not only aesthetically, but in terms of functionality, too (better 3D viewing. It looks like you're looking thru a window.).
* Images are spectacular. Whether it be regular programming, HDTV programming, or Blu-Ray.
* Price on Amazon was excellent!
* Delivery was pain-free.
* A lot of settings options, so you can set up the tv screen for a preference along with the viewing scenario (i.e. movie, standard, etc.)
* 3D movie watching is stunning! I just wish Panasonic was lacking exclusive rights on Avatar.
CONS:
* SmartTV is a cool feature. But, not really a necessity. I really doubt that I'll Facebook or Tweet from your TV.
* Audio isn't great, but it is adequate. I wasn't really expecting much from a flat screen TV.
* Did not come with the touch-screen remote as was allowed to be true at first of the season.
* Need to mail inside the vouchers (or register online) in order to get the 3D glasses. True, you are doing obtain a 3D starter kit using this type of TV, that has the glasses, but those glasses can be a little different and use batteries. Also, you have to send out to find the free copy of Shrek Forever and Megamind. I really shouldn't complain, though, since these have the freedom.
* Wants a more in depth manual concerning how to use most from the features. The manual they are available in is thick, however it is simply because oahu is the same thing in several languages.
Sorry for your long review. Us Yelpers write a great deal of gibberish, don't we?
UPDATE: After messing around with the TV a little more earlier this week, I pointed out that the top the screen had some light flickering (around in which the bezel meets the screen also it was ready 1/16" tall and went almost through the whole TV. I'm hoping it isn't really the "edge lighting.") It only did this on some channels on Directv. Most channels were fine and Blu-Ray was fine. I'm thinking it's either the receiver or it could be the cheap HDMI cable. I have a Monster M1000 series cable to arrive later this week, so I'll switch it boost.
Also, there has been talk all over online about people having issues pairing the remote. I had zero problem and did it about 5 feet away from the TV.
One last thing, among the glasses in the free 3D kit didn't manage to work. I replaced batteries and zip. Then, another morning, I attempted it again, but this time around turning from the bluetooth within my phone, and it worked. Whether this had an effect on it, I not really know. But, just thought I'd throw that available.
BTW, a few days ago, I watched Tangled in 3D and played MLB2K11 for the PS3...... WOW! I'll must admit, I liked 3D, but I thought it was merely a novelty. No chance. 3D is much different now than if we had those blue and red glasses. It changes the complete experience.
UPDATE #2: Didn't have to do anything to obtain the line gone. It just went away some day.
Also, I finally got the 3D glasses from your voucher that's within the TV. Unfortunately, they are the 3300s instead of the 3700s i kept seeing from people at CES. I won't knock the rating down, but I am just a little disappointed that this glasses and also the remote which were advertised earlier that year didn't include the system, nor even thru mail. Also, the charger for your glasses is $199! No, thanks. I'll just charge it while using the USB cable.
Not quite ready for prime time, in most respects
Samsung has incorporated a characteristic called Smart Hub inside their 'Smart TV'. It is a portal containing Netflix, Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook, Pandora, a web browser, as well as some games and applications which are either free or purchased. The feature is great i anticipate seeing it develop. You'll want to register your TV that will create an account, much like an Apple ID, simply uses purchase one of the apps. You would think you may do that through the TV, nevertheless, you can't; you'll want to use the internet to get this done. Not really a big problem, nonetheless it was confusing. The Samsung website is not ready for prime time either. The community forum just isn't yet running. One nice thing is the Live Help, which very effective. However, I was unable to obtain the amount of help I desired.
Okay, enough with the gripes. This can be one fine TV. It is extremely light, includes a narrow profile and incorporates a nice, chrome-plated stand that lets you to rotate the tv screen about 30 degrees in both direction. A large factor personally was the thin bezel, which allowed me to match a 46" set into my 43" wide cabinet. The tv screen has lots of inputs, including some strange connectors that let you to connect component and composite video. I truly do have a very non-HDMI DVD that uses the component connectors, and yes it proved helpful. The setup with the TV is just not difficult if you have some knowledge about hookups, i was able to get all the components and my receiver working in short order. Because i mentioned previously, I'm not really a major fan of the shape of the remote, and I am attempting to duplicate almost all of the functionality during my Harmony universal remote.
One thing I did so was attach my TV to my iMac to exhibit photos to my photo club. I used to be not expecting the high quality to be much better than my 27" iMac, but it was More effective. Along with was most natural in Movie mode, Warm 1 setting. The sharpness was uncanny. I saw no obtrusive artifacts on the screen and was pleased as punch in the jaw-dropping quality of my photo images (and so were the club members). The television is attached to our UVERSE system, along with the HD quality is very good. I've no measurement or calibration tools, but I use a fine eye for photography. Large balance, contrast, and sharpness are excellent. One and only thing I want to control could be the 'Film mode', that may turn watching Modern Family in to a strange experience; it almost makes some programs look like we were holding videotaped being a soap opera. I leave this feature 'off' at the moment. Tonite we watched the ten Commandments (1956), as well as the quality was incredible! I have yet to view any Blue ray dvd player DVDs, because i haven't purchased a player yet. And, of course, I can't have the glasses for 3D. I actually do prefer to update my review since these things change.
This TV merits at least a 4-star rating. I could add another depending on how things develop.
Update 6/8/2011
Finally received my 3d glasses through the 'Samsung Fulfillment Center'. They're active-shutter type glasses and are avalable with standard USB cords to charge them. You'll be able to plug the cords in the back with the set along with the glasses will recharge if the set is ON. We watched our first 3D movie together yesterday evening. The 3d effect was excellent i could see no artifacts. The glasses fit over my lenses and were comfortable. They turn on automatically after they sense a 3d broadcast, that is nice.
The chunky remote usually just sits waiting to be utilized, because i have programmed a Harmony Universal remote allowing me to use SmartHub and control a lot of the functions. SmartHub remains evolving and there are lots of update messages that indicate it is constantly upgraded. I actually do benefit from the Vimeo and Vudu sites, and also Netflix. The gamed, browser and also other 'apps' usually are not attracting me yet.
I carry on and laud the image quality for this set. I can not say it is best compared to a Sony or Panasonic or another brand, however i haven't any reason to look further. I could only describe the HD quality as 'rich' and packed with tonality. The cisco kid detail amazes me, along with the blacks are truly black. I never obtain the the picture being overly contrasty or saturated. I also find no reason to fiddle with all the controls, after they are set. After more than a month of viewing, I still find myself saying 'that's remarkable' after i watch high quality broadcasts. Again, I personally use ATT Uverse as my cable provider, and our signal quality is excellent. I do not expect you'll buy another TV with this caliber for the good number of years, and feel confident that this Samsung will grow around for years.
Update 11/18/11
After months of use, I still similar to this TV. Samsung, seems like, is wanting to be like Apple and in many cases sent me a survey ploying me with questions on why I liked Apple computers, iPads, iPods, etc. I noticed these are wanting to formulate something. Let me state that SmartHub is their way of giving TV users an 'app' experience. They have fallen short IMHO. The apps they've are rather cheesy and I'd rather use an iPad while you're watching TV, than change to Smarthub and switch off the programming. Another failing, they don't give you access to Amazon streaming for movies (they accustomed to, although not inside 2011 TVs). Why? AppleTV is a good accessory for Netflix, Youtube, and many other functions and contains a greater interface. The only thing I prefer about SmartHub may be the 'Explore 3D' feature which has several creative 3D features onto it. Using the current dearth of 3D source material on DVD, it's nice to experience a handy place to has it and show it to friends. You need to really make sure that out.
One negative with this TV, the viewing angle. In case you are off-axis, the picture washes out and you lose the experience of seeing really deep blacks.
Know the pain you are getting: an incredible TV
THE QUICK GOODS:
1. Awesome looking picture. Not too hard to obtain settings online to home calibrate it nicely.
2. Good 3D picture. Megamind is awesome with this. Also watched Sanctum, Tron, and Avatar. Great. The 2D to 3D is kinda cool too. Its not the pop-out you will get using a 3D movie, however it does a good job quickly.
3. The Smart Hub is intriguing. There's a lot there. Other than Netflix, I have never gotten too associated with it, but I can see potential.
4. The QWERTY keyboard for the backside is handy for wanting to insert passwords and when using the net.
5. Multiple inputs are wonderful.
THE QUICK BADS:
1. Flashlighting. The TV has it. It's apparent once the screen is all black. Fortunately, which is rare and 95% almost daily, you never detect it in any respect. I think this is overblown in most write-ups.
2. The world wide web browser. It seems really slow- and that i get it connected by way of a wired connection (faster than wireless). I could get to websites pretty quickly, but getting video to roll is an additional thing.
3. Soap opera look. Many had commented about this i had no idea what it really was. It's that video-like image that's almost too clear out of the box. I made use of some calibration settings I found at Cnet to have some better settings.
4. NO PAPER MANUAL. You pay these kinds of money along with to obtain the info with the TV or online? That is a couple of BS.
5. The price itself. Man, I love it, but I just am uncertain whether it is $1500.00 much better than the mid=priced sets.
Overall, I will clearly say this was a monster boost from your 55" Hitachi I'd before. HD channels and particularly Blu-ray look just stunning for the TV. Everything just pops. I'm a lot of the reviews allow me to share emphasizing the "bait and switch" they think happened due to bezel. Fortunately, I did my research first and knew things i was getting.
There are lots of ports at the spine and you will have lots to get your stuff connected. Should you genuinely wish to still do it, just run everything through a receiver and run one hdmi cable for the tv. If you opt to run multiple cables, you can even have different settings for each and every port. If you like your TV to pop, but want your movies to look more cinema-like, you can do that too.
Hanging the d8000 on the wall wasn't too difficult. I did it myself, but I'd suggest a partner. I oftentimes tried a slim wall mount that tilts and it looks great.
EDIT UPDATE: Just am FYI, the flashlighting concern is becoming better to recognize as time rolls on. Maybe I'm just visiting a lot of dark materials, but the screen is flashlighting like crazy.
Great TV, worth the price.
I be familiar with some complaints concerning the companies accustomed to ship the TVs. I need to say i had created a good experience. The delivery was made inside first hour of my delivery appointment window. The lamp of the tv would be a little damaged in the bottom corner but not concern yourself with.my TV was brought inside and i also inspected it and wow are these claims thing a work of art. perhaps the delivery guys were impressed, they hadn't seen the modern model yet. The tv would be a little cold from being kept in the warehouse and on the truck and so i assembled everything and hooked up my extras (home theatre, xbox 360 console, ps3, cable box etc) but i didn't plug the power set for a couple of hours to allow the TV warm up and avoid injury to it. After i turned it on i became greeted by having an simple and easy to adhere to setup of the tv and wireless network.
I read one poor review of this tv stating the led backlight was visible fromt the perimeters and that i must disagree. i cannot see the backlight source at all. this really is by far the best looking tv available. I do however wish it had full array led backlighting rather than the dynamic edge.
my only complaint (if you can even refer to it as that) will be the remote. it's kind of chunky due to the full qwerty about the back and that i havent been able to have the qwerty side to sync with my tv yet it keeps saying failure.. i'd personally have liked to see the touchscreen remote which was added to the 9000 series before. however around the grand scale this is minor. We've only had this tv to get a limited time however i would highly recommend this tv when it is inside your budget.
With beautiful picture, 3D, a lot of HDMI slots, USB, WIFI and the samsung SmartTV this is a great option for someone looking for an increased end LED-LCD
Best TV
The TV were only available in and Wow 's all I'm able to say.. Now I have come across the posts on Samsung's Website which really did not deter me as I happen to be buying Samsung TV's and monitors for years rather than once did I have a problem.
The colors and dark levels are excellent. The 3D effects are very cool company this really is my first 3D TV, I have experienced 3D in movie theaters but its a lot better being at home. The added applications are cool as well as the added NAS support is wonderful. I have a Synology NAS and when I plugged it in the network the TV detected my NAS and listed it Synology. Only draw back using the DLNA is that there isn't any graphic art or pictures from the Movies however the titles show and thats fine. (There might be hack with this and can research)
Of course Amazon delivered the tv screen with in the amount of time while i requested as well as the box was at great shape. Amazon rocks.
Pros: The colors and dark levels, Normal HD programs are very crisp and clear it almost hurts my eye's, The small bezel makes this TV pop on my own wall. (Note Painted my wall flat black and with the small bezel it all most looks like its a window), Way too many more to read..
Cons: The remote as I wanted the IPHONE looking remote and also the keyboard is basically small, and I've big fingers. Also the electricity plug was on the other hand.. Meaning the HDMI, Optical and USB plugs take presctiption back right side as well as the power plug is for the back left side if facing it. At the same time the power cord is basically short.
But even with these complaints I enjoy this TV and will also be enjoying it for several years.. This TV gets a 5 star rating from me.
AWESOME TV!!!!!!
And finally.....You cant beat the purchase price... Stores have this TV for up to $1000 greater than Amazon.
Fantastic Television with Few Caveats
Netflix is just not exactly what it used to be; the service seems to have only older movies and not the 'just released' films. This, in addition to nearly intolerable rebuffering pauses as well as an annoying black flash blip which happens every 3 mins approximately makes me wonder if Netflix is actually really worth subscription fee anymore. I ordered a new Apple Airport Extreme to upgrade for the new dual band technology and so i am hoping that this fixes this rebuffering and give up problems otherwise it is not likely which i will go past the trial offer of Netflix. Blu-rays and DVDs look fantastic on this TV played on my small new Samsung BD-D5500. The TV automatically connects towards the Blu-Ray and switches ports if you turn it on. Cool.
You need to enjoy the settings on the TV before you understand what you like in terms of picture and sound. I became very impressed while using built-in sound on this TV, clearly upgraded over previous models, but I picked up an audio Y-cable and connected it straight away to my stereo receiver's tape deck 'in' port now after i activate the receiver's 'Tape' button, I recieve superior hifi stereo sound to select my amazing picture. Even if this system supports multichannel audio 5.1 I'm not really missing it. The 3D popular features of this TV are mind-blowing but it does give you a headache after a while; you'll be able to sense the flicker of the battery powered glasses. Its not all 3D discs are equal, some can be a let-down and despite the hype, you likely won't wind up watching 3D programming frequently. The 3D core kit comes with 2 couple of glasses then there is a coupon to obtain two more pair free of charge by mail so at least it is not too costly for everybody to get the taste of 3D after they want it. The 2D picture though is beyond incredible. The bezel is unbelievably thin and also the TV is very thin and relatively lightweight. Stand is heavy and stable; ports are clearly marked however, there is very little room to plug in the HDMI cables at back, especially considering that the pro cable I managed to get for the Blu-Ray features a magnetic shield barrel about the cable which presses against the back in the TV and seems to slightly bend the main harbour so it is easier to use HDMI cables that lay flat.
The Samsung apps work pretty well but they are clearly still young and need development. I spent nearly two years researching TVs and am very happy I managed to get this Smart-TV model. Dynamic LED backlighting was obviously a key feature to me, there is no flashlighting or ghosting, blacks are deep and solid. This can be surely the most effective TVs out there right now i would whole-heartedly recommend it.
60" Samsung LED
Form and function
Smart hub is effective - instantly linked to my wireless router and possesses a stable reference to good speed. Utilization of VUDU and Netflix is seamless.

Pretty Amazing
2-D Picture Quality (HD DirectTV)
Amazing picture quality. My HD signal appears like BluRay for this tv. If I had created to express something negative it could be which you almost have too much detail. You can actually see the pits in the male actor's face and you may understand the caked on makeup from the weather lady. I watched a movie the opposite night and that i found myself studying the props to gather any details that a producer originally wouldn't want me to determine because they would break the suspension of disbelief. I may have sworn I saw a film script around the desk from the vatican. I remember when HD 1080 i and p first became available. I was required to adapt to the overwhelming realism. You'll must adjust again because of these new TV's that operate at 240hz and have amazing color and motion flow.
Sound
Suprisingly good. On par with my previous Sony TV.
Weight
Awesome! No need to team carry this TV. Don't need to bother about the studs supporting an excessive amount of weight.
Stand
A little cheaply side (material wise) but given how light it is I suppose they didn't must use metal.
Control
Well, I use a Logitech controller. The original controller is actually funny. I contains the basic controllers on one side along with a full keyboard on the other instrument. I'm sure the youngsters is going to take good thing about the world wide web capability however i have my IPAD2 to the. Internet over a TV which sits throughout the room can be quite a little strange for me personally.
SmartHub
Haven't used. I used my 3-D dvd player
3-D Display quality (Direct TV 3D downloads and stations)
Amazing. On par with Regal and AMC 3-D movies. My wife yells at me for watching the downloadable nature shows that DirectTV offers in 3-D. If you do not have DirectTV you will probably find yourself which has a insufficient 3-D content until more movies are around for puchase in 3-D. I be aware of coax companies during my area don't offer 3-D. However, I do think this TV will satisfy for the next Several years until 3-D glasses free is ready and affordable.
Summary
Positive
Amazing picture. Color reproduction is excellent. Black and shadow areas are superb.
Negative
Almost too real. My son grows to towards the TV to experience with all the Cars while you're watching Cars. Hollywood movies are certainly not shot with TV's similar to this in mind. You might find yourself seeing too much of the movie set or seeing almost every action of the actor. This is going to take getting accustomed to. As these TV's be a little more main stream you'll see movies pay greater awareness of make-up, props and actor motions (or inconsistent motions).|
Great TV
Once my stand arrived (also purchased on amazon.com), I started to create it. As soon as you position the batteries, turn on the tv screen. Flip the remote over to the keyboard side and will also let you know that you'll want to pair the remote. You should do this right away in order to avoid any issues. I had a bunch of issues pairing the remote but reading the reviews on here, specifically the one that posted a means to reset the remote (we appreciate you that!), I finally figured it. You will need to get about 6 inches from the bottom RIGHT corner of the TV. Ensuring the tv screen is ON and 6 inches away from the bottom RIGHT corner of the TV, press and hold TAB+SYM for approximately 2 seconds. The screen for the remote will say "Pairing" and really should take a few moments to pair. Take action any additional than 6 inches away and you will encounter some issues.
Once you've got paired the remote, connect your TV to the internet by using the option within the Menu. I own a wireless router hence the TV grabbed my internet and linked with no problem. As soon as you are connected to the internet, immediately improve your TVs software. If you don't, you could possibly come upon some problems. Netflix kept saying it couldn't hook up with the net yet somehow I checked the Network status from the TV and it said I was connected (I can also connect with other apps that used the internet). After I updated the software for the TV, it worked perfectly. The image looks great, although I recently noticed a few minutes ago a white dot looking thing on the bottom right corner. I am not quite sure what that is certainly since I am a complete n00b with regards to that kind of stuff (bleeding, clouding, etc. I understand nothing that). I'm going to consider it.
Other reviews discussed the need to mail in vouchers through the 3D kit. I received my kit and it included the 2 3D glasses, Shrek 1-4, and Megamind 3D. There were no voucher for Shrek or anything, everything what food was in the therapy lamp. I have watched Shrek 1-2 (3D) and Megamind 3D to date along with the 3D was pretty cool. It isn't really like on the big screens where it arises at you but it's still an excellent thing showing. There exists definitely great potential though. Assuming they still do further research (and gain better technology), supply the 3D technology many years and it will be awesome. The TV also includes two 3D glasses. I haven't checked them out yet but it appears it can be rechargeable through USB.
Pros:
Great Picture
Has different apps, for example Netflix (which I thought really was cool)
Price - Amazon was the lowest priced that we found (who can beat free postage with no tax)
Features - Many to learn with (While time-consuming, I favor messing around with different features)
Edgeless screen - I was thinking this was really cool.
Cons:
Audio - Isn't great but what can you really expect coming from a flatscreen
Manual - Could be a little more informational. It does not explain the process of pairing as well as it will.
Screen - Is glossy and gets dirty with fingerprints (while setting it up, I put a number of my fingerprints about the TV from holding it). As it is glossy, the tv screen might not look that great for those who have light hitting the TV. My lounge is dark because I like my batcave being dark and so i have zero light issues.
Remote - There's a little bit of lag time nonetheless it wasn't that noticeable in my opinion. The pairing process is a pain.
WOW, I'm hooked
I was ready for a 65" LED TV and wished to wait till next season following the house was finished, but having the grand daughters over changed my mind since our 26" was a little too small for the children.
I thought we would pick the 55" UN55D8000 after seeing it at Paul's TV outside and researching it to get a week.
We received the free Shrek and Megamind package first. The shipping company called several days after the order was placed to schedule a time and date for delivery. Thus far so excellent.
The TV arrived with regards to a week. They bring it in for you together with hook it up to ascertain if it really works, such as the connect any video source.
I came home just whenever they were leaving as it only took several minutes so they can remove it from the packing and use it.
I been there up on the wall within Fifteen minutes, only the need to install the bracket on the back. The screws that came with the bracket were too long or quite short, but I had some 8mm x 25mm screws that have been perfect.
After watching it and playing around using the Smart TV Web functions for a few days, we realized that a lot of the Shows seemed like it turned out (live) or that you simply were behind the camera watching. It turned out that clear, or as you were in the same room whenever they were filming, and this was from cable television, just regular shows we watch everyday.
OK, so progressing to the 3D part. I removed the glasses through the package, wanting to be very careful (my nature) and treatment of protective film from each lens, I noticed one lens was shattered! My heart just dropped. What is!
I didn't notice it had been broken while i removed it from the package, so achieved it happen during or after, I seriously do not know.
I got on the pc and located the return policy from Amazon, as I haven't ever returned anything during my life, well maybe 1 or 2 things but found it was very easy as they send UPS on the house using a label and picked up the package, after I repacked it and set the specified info inside. I left it for the porch with a note (take me!)
Amazon transmitted another Shrek/Megamind BD/3D glass kit and i also received it in a very week! That was fast.
We watched a 3D movie last night, Resident Evil, Afterlife. The movie didn't (pop) out for us. I could to alter it during the movie but my partner planned to watch the film, i really waited till it was over.
After fiddling using the remote (be able to that later) I came across the 3D settings and adjusted the depth and POW, there it turned out, in front of me, 3D mainly because it ought to be. Now it looks like someone bored a hole inside the wall behind the tv screen and added a table in front to hold issues that was just going out inside breeze!
Lets get back to the remote. I did observe that the keys really have some bounce, that is certainly, you key in a i and you also get Several of which. Do i think the a lot of the buttons, at the very least I'll say most as it is probably inherent towards the electronics inside the remote, so my solution just for this dilemma is to push the keys fast...
Getting returning to the Shrek Blu Ray kit, the tape they will use to hold the glasses in is very sticky, to the point that it can make it tough to take away the glasses. I was very careful (more so than to start with) to eliminate this plastic film in the temples that held them in. Also treatment of film through the lens itself, because the lens is quite thin. I believe the frames must have gone all the way around the lens for protection. I do think they made them the way they are so you obtain the feeling of open space rather than visiting a frame when you would generally in most glasses.
I do accept others that Samsung really should have included a duplicate from the instructions, however i are able to see why they did not. Maybe put it on a CD so you can print against each other yourself. We are calling the new line to secure a copy as someone mentioned because I prefer reading about all of the different settings.
I did choose the 3D Blu Ray player/7.1 speakers kit. It came several days prior to TV did, so I could arrange it prior. All I have to say is its ok, as I am an audiophile, its just like can be expected from your kit, nevertheless it creates fast which is probably adequate for many people.
I am going to use this product in the bedroom after the house is remodeled and getting a 65" model, hopefully a Samsung again, because the glasses is going to be compatible and in all likelihood use another speakers, possibly with my own, personal stereo speakers. 55" is alright for me personally, but I think a 65 incher is a blast inside the family area.
Just to make sure that the remote setup with what everyone mentioned, mine didn't setup from 10 feet away, Cleaning it once a many times until I remembered the instructions telling be several feet away, just like magic it worked, so browse the instructions people.. Fat to accomplish this you have to receive the remote working one which just access the e-structions on the television.
I haven't seen any stray light or ghosting or anything out of your norm, but will be looking for anything strange.
The sound from the built in speakers is ok for viewing tv. A lot better than a corner projection Sony I bought Two decades ago!
Several reasons I got myself a LED TV was who's isn't getting as hot like a plasma, they weigh less and will not get the burn-in. Maybe a number of the older LCD screens just weren't as good but up to now this TV will make me fat, cause I am going to watch more TV and get less exercise!
Now I'm over a pursuit to find 3D Blu Ray movies.
Added 5/11.
After watching many 3D movies, I've arrived at concluding how the 3D is just not as deep as what you see for the giant screen. A little disappointing in my experience but nevertheless a good picture. We are all enjoying the large screen and 3D effects.
BTW, I also own the 3d system sold 15 years ago. While using the supplied glasses and convertor box it isn't bad apart from the flicker on a CRT TV. I tried the existing 3D DVD's hoping that something would work but it didn't. Maybe someday I will design a convertor which will get them to work on the brand new LCD.

Impressive TV
1. Some 3D glasses is included with all the set. It is the upgraded type, SSG-3100GB. (Samsung SSG-3100GB 3D Active Glasses - Black (Only Suitable for 2011 3D TVs)
The glasses are built to accommodate prescription glasses by looking into making the nose piece removable. You will find the rechargeable type, with 2 micro-USB cables provided. The glasses might be charged from the TV USB ports (in the event the TV is ON) or other usb port/charger.
Keep in your mind, for 2011 Samsung has changed what sort of glasses speak with the tv screen. They chosen Bluetooth vs. IR, resulting in 3D glasses made for earlier models incompatible with 2011 TVs. I've come across 3rd party glasses advertised as "compatible with 2010 and 2011 models", therefore i recommend you be sure do you know what you might be ordering.
2. If you intend to mount the TV for the wall, the newest design uses plastic spacers which render the hardware provided with most wall mounts incompatible with this TV. Ensure you hold the correct size screws to install this TV for the mount. We used four M8-1.25x25 screws with 2 washers. The screws that was included with the wall mount were either too short or too long.
3. The built-in WiFi successful. I'd no issues connecting to my home network operating at 5 GHz with WPA2-PSK (AES) security, while using the WPS option (WiFi Protected Setup).
4. The QWERTY remote is included with this TV. The QWERTY side from the remote should be paired with the tv screen, which done your third try. I do believe I had created to become nearer to the TV to the. Gleam Samsung App for iPhone that turns your iPhone in to a remote. Unlike the same Sony app, the Samsung one does let you turn your tripped. You are unable to switch it on with this app, obviously, since the TV should be ON for your app to communicate by it. The app works well for what it's.
5. I was happy to uncover the HDMI-CEC (Anynet+) function was works with my ONKYO receiver. Turning it on/off also operates the ability around the receiver.
6. The HDMI Audio Return Channel works as advertised. You have to remember in order to connect the HDMI cable to HDMI2 port though (marked with "ARC" for Audio Return Channel). Using an ARC-compatible receiver eliminates the requirement of the optical cable between the TV and receiver for hearing audio via DTV tuner or network widgets.
7. The image quality of HD Dish Network channels was not satisfactory right out from the box, plus some fiddling with all the settings was required. Occasionally, the screen would obtain a shade or two darker all of a sudden, in the heart of a scene. There are many setting that may possibly have something to do with it, and i also were required to adjust them one by one until the picture improved.
8. 3D looks absolutely breathtaking. My Blu-ray player (BDP) complained that it could not find a 3D TV connected it. However, it absolutely was the BDP itself which had its 3D function disabled automagically.
9. Some enjoy the apps much. In the beginning loading the web browser led to a blue screen flickering for some seconds following with the 'loading' icon, and then the sequence repeated repeatedly. After power-cycling the set, eventually I hit some button for the Smart Hub screen, and the TV completed upgrading then the browser loaded perfectly. Overall, I came across how much Content within the Smart Hub a lttle bit overwhelming. I recently don't have time for it to understand them all, but that does not mean the tv screen should suffer in ratings to the.
10. With a side note... The existing version in the Megamind 3D Core kit (Samsung SSG-P3100M Megamind 3D Core kit - Black (Compatible with 2011 3D TVs)) incorporates all 5 movies included (Shreks 1-4 and Megamind) - no need for vouchers as reported in March possibly even. None have subtitles apparently, as stated about the box, and while subtitles often detract from 3D, it will happen to be nice to possess that option.
Beautiful Picture, very classy design, excellent video format support
PICTURE QUALITY: The largest and many obvious difference was the image quality. The colours, contrast and in general the "life like" expertise of the Sony and Samsung were very obviously a lot better than the LG. This was not just a subtle difference. The LG seemed more faded and beaten up when you compare it side-by-side with the other two. I spent considerable time having fun with the playback quality settings for the LG (I had been in a HHGregg plus they were really flexible - just gave me the remotes and left me alone) - but no luck. I would not thing the 120 vs 240/480 Hz has almost anything to do with this particular. The screen, along with the LED local dimming technology from the LG just isn't as well as either the Samsung or Sony.
I would not use whatever difference between the Samsung or perhaps the Sony
There was obviously a noticeable difference within the motion blur involving the LG (120Hz) and also the Samsung/Sony (240, 480Hz), although not huge. There was a basketball game on, and all the short movement made the difference more obvious. Again - no distinction between the Sony and Samsung.
APPEARANCE: The Samsung and the Sony both have a really thin bezel, and yes this does make any difference. It's all regulated picture and incredibly little "TV" - very classy.
DECISION: Cautious select Samsung instead of the LG was easy: big upgrade in display quality. A tremendous deciding factor involving the Samsung and Sony was the pliability in playing my media collection. Sony is extremely restrictive inside the video formats it supports. Samsung plays just about all We've - avi, mkv, mp4, wmv, DVDs ripped to vob files - in reality almost everything available except flv.
AFTERTHOUGHTS: I've had the tv screen to get a month now for happy with all the purchase. I haven't noticed some of the bleed through or edge light artifacts that I've come across mentioned here. The backlit SAMSUNG logo at the bottom was distracting, however its easy enough to show off. I suspect why these "issues" don't bother a lot of people, or are simply just not necessarily visible if you watch regular TV. The picture quality is outstanding. Sometimes its like looking via a window!
I'm not big on 3D, but I've come across many of the streaming 3D previews and nature documentaries available through Smart Hub and also the quality is very good. I really do see some strange artefacts - a sort of blurring/ pixellation - on certain parts in the image, specially when your camera is panning, or when there's moving water. This is extremely likely due to limited wireless bandwidth - I've a wireless G network, no N, and 3D streaming has a Lots of bandwidth. It was probably also the main reason the streaming 3D video would pause once or twice during playback - a thing that never occurs I'm using Netflix. I would need to visit a 3D Blu Ray to reliably comment on 3D quality. Generally though, since 99.9% of my TV and video watching is 2D, 3D is not a serious problem personally.
The Wireless reception is excellent, and establishing the network for Netflix was a breeze - The remote includes a full keypad somewhere which assists a lot in typing in passwords etc (The remote has a gyroscope/sensor, and so the keypad is inactive when its facing down, during normal use). The truly irritating thing though is the keypad doesn't work to the search input on Netflix or YouTube, which I hope they fix soon!
I've used Samsung's Allshare media server software to stream videos and music from my laptop over the wireless network and delay okay (so does other media server software - Serviio is an excellent alternative. I favor joining my hard disk straight away to it, because nether Allshare nor other media software enable you to rewind and forward videos.
The Android remote app can be excellent - this is a full-featured remote and easy to set up. I've been using the imediashare lite android app to stream stuff from my phone.
I can't reply to the customer service since i have haven't had any issues, but I got a whole lot on a 3 year in-home service plan at a shop I bought it, so I'm covered.
A FINAL WORD - I'd seen some reviews point out that they don't really get Dolby 5.1 surround from Netflix, and also this would have been a downer - I couldn't have a clear solution to that at the shop, or in the Samsung website. I'm able to report since the television DOES support HD and 5.1 Dolby digital from Netflix - I've tested it and there's without a doubt - my AV receiver shows a Dolby Digital signal. I do think it is a recent thing - there is a firmware upgrade in Dec 2011, and a minimum of one Smart Hub upgrade since i have bought the TV at the end of Jan.
Amazing. Great investment, hope it holds me over until the OLED tvs are freed.
I can't hold off until the newest 3D OLED tvs are freed. Its going to be another experience with gaming and movies. So far as picture, sound, processing speed, motion rate, and also other specs. The tv is way more superior than its competitors. I provide a Upscale rating. "BE SURE TO Purchase DEVICE FROM "AMAZON"" DO NOT BUY FROM OTHER RETAIL COMPANIES If you opt to BUY ONLINE. AMAZON MAKES BUYING ONLINE Easy and Specifically if you End up having A LEMON To get a TV, "AMAZON" Is going to take Proper care of YOU, NO HASTLE.
Awesome.
This connects to internet/wifi, offering several apps for example facebook and Pandora through Samsung's Smart Hub. Several 3D videos are also available with the Smart Hub at no cost.
I still haven't gotten the opportunity to watch full 1080p HD, but even the 1080i looks better than full HD that I've come across on other TVs.|
Samsung UN55D8000 Review from 3D TV Buying Guide
The UND8000 exhibits some tendencies to around saturation of colors, but as well it gives exceptional bright light throughput which brings the image alive. The picture depth is incredible and apart from some plasma competition, oahu is the best we've tested in this area. Contrast, sharp, clean edges, and rich color and lightweight combine to present the depth effect. Naturally, and also this works out great when viewing 3D images mentioned previously below.
There are a handful of slight color uniformity issues as with several LED backlit LCD TVs, however in the UND8000 they aren't too distracting. Color info is not as rich as it is using the best plasma TVs available, the potential downside being exceptional brightness and light-weight throughput, which could appeal to those with plenty of ambient sunlight to arrive on the room.
The Ultra Clear Panel filter very effective to soak up ambient light, preventing an excessive amount of glare.
3D TV Viewing: We viewed several 3D sources and would not note any flickering or flashing from the glasses (crosstalk). There was also no blurring towards the bottom corners of images as with last years models. 3D viewing is intended to involve the viewer more within the picture and with this active 3D TV we could definitely read the attributes of 3D depth perception. The only real negatives noted were some glare through the insides of the lenses when ambient room light was present and some tiredness inside eyes when viewing the 3D footage for periods of time.
Standard Definition Display quality: 9/10
Standard definition performance can be as important today as it ever was because of the streaming video being ported in less than top HD quality. The UND8000 would you of the most useful jobs we have seen in a while with lowly resolution signals. Sometimes, it's difficult to see you aren't watching in HD.
Features Rating: 9.5/10
Inputs: Quite a while ago super thin TVs similar to this didn't accommodate many inputs. The D8000 uses breakout cables for that component and composite inputs with really small jacks. Still manages 2 USB ports, and three HDMI inputs also.
Appearance: The 55D8000 comes with a 4 leg chrome stand with 20 degree swivel. People manage to either like or dislike the stand with none involving. However, everyone likes the sleek picture frame appearance in the bezel the industry negligible .4" in width and almost unseen were it not for your silver metallic strip surrounding the screen. Depth is 1" and tapers inside the time for have a straight slimmer appearance. The bolt holes for wall mounting are recessed at the back of it in a way to allow for for super tight wall mounting.
Remote Control: The dual sided remote device is just about the standout options that come with the D8000 - giving the consumer an ordinary backlit functional remote on the one hand and also a QWERTY keyboard for Internet and Smart Hub use on the other. The QWERTY side comes complete with a visible led screen along with a 5 way control pad. It's pretty easy to work with the laptop keyboard and is also certainly easier than a 5-way pad. Anyone who utilizes a smart phone consistently will have not an issue. The coolest feature however, may be the little numbered down the middle of the five way control off to the right of the keypad. It is extremely smaller than average simple to miss, however with this you can use a finger to navigate which has a mouse which we found considerably faster compared to 5-way control. Make it possible for this feature use the 5-way control to scroll down to the directions at the base with the screen labeled, "Switch on the pointer."
Menu Function: The 2011 blue opaque menu from Samsung is quite complete and to navigate having a handy tutorial about each feature in the market to the right when highlighted. It's faster and easier to utilize than past menus. We found the Movie mode the top one of the preset picture mode options by a longshot. Whilst present an incredibly color inflamed picture. There are lots of extra feature options under the Advanced Settings and Picture Options settings. We've mentioned recommendations above on several. Follow our calibrated picture settings for optimal performance in a very low light environment.

Great TV
Damaged upon delivery
After he left, I plugged in it and saw a good Purple line in the the top panel towards the bottom which persisted. From a 2 hour call to Samsung tech support they agreed it absolutely was a defective panel.
To my suprise, owner Electronics Expo refused to replace it! Amazon customer care tried but even after a 20 min call and argument with a manager at Electronics Expo the very friendly and apologetic Amazon agent could not influence them since they are an unofficial. Lucky, Amazon has decided to contain it picked up free and may refund my $2000.00. I see that Electronics Expo has already been from the Amazon site for this item. My advice: Stick with Electronics sold only by Amazon instead of a 3rd party like this fly by nignt seller Electronics Expo.
Update January 2012:
Amazon rapidly refunded my money, arranged free pick-up by the trucking firm and removed another parter seller Electronic Expo through the Amazon Web page. I re-purchased the UM-55D8000 in a local P.C. Richards & Sons. They had a package deal with 2 additional 3-D glasses plus a Samsung BluRay DVD and after a little quick negotiation with their Manager, the P.C. Richard price being some dollars less than the Amazon partner negating the florida sales tax. I gave away the DVD being a Christmas gift.
I have experienced the the newest working Samsung UM-55D800 for the month in fact it is Amazing!. The picture quality is first rate. Watching Sports and flicks can be a completely experience to not be missed.
The 3-D capabilities are fantastic, my kids love the Shrek 1 - 4 movies and thus will i! Most new Blu Ray players will buy some new 2D movies to 3D mode. The only real negative opinion i tell a great many other reviewers will be the kind of the QWERTY remote and also the Samsung Internet interface. It is rather tough to browse the web and very slow for email. Also all Samsung LCD TV's and Blu Ray players don't have the Amazon Link for movie rentals. For us Amazon Prime customers this is the slight negative. However, my new Panasonic Blu Ray WiFi player has the Amazon software and url to Amazon Prime which means this gets around that drawback.
My advice: Buy this fantastic Tv... You are going to like it, but do not buy any large electronics from an Amazon partner which will not support the sale. It appears that regardless of how great Amazon customer satisfaction is( and it is wonderful )they do not have contol with the partners on their site.
I am very pleased to alter my inital 1 star rating in order to 5 stars.
The Best, with Great Delivery
AMAZON DELIVERY
Be sure to order from Amazon (direct or "fullfilled by"). Free delivery and delivery was inside a week. Delivery is scheduled within a 3 hour window (automatically or your selection); in my case, between 8 and 11 am. The TV was really delivered at 12:00 (by way of a firm called CEVA)---but that's actually 120 minutes early by Miami standards. Not only was it delivered by actual human beings, in addition they took it out from the box and hooked it up---no charge. Several friends who may have purchased Samsung TVs from Amazon had informed me that delivery included setup. In all honesty, Used to do must gently won't sign the acceptance paper until I saw the set working. Not surprising, that they all the tools accessible and, did the full setup. All you have to complete is ask. Generally in most States there's no tax, so I paid $350 below on the best "Holiday" sales price with the local Best Buy. Moreover, Greatest coupe charges $350 for setup, i really figure I saved $700 by purchasing from Amazon. Well, I did so provide guys a $20 tip---recommended---so I "only" saved $680. Well, BB would also charge $50 for that $10 HDMI cable, plus they won't let you away from BB with out a cable. So, net, I saved $720
3D
The "3D Starter Kit" Samsung 3D Core kit - 2 pairs of Black 3D active glasses SSG-3100m/za (compatible with 2011 3D Samaung TVs-D6400, D490 series, LED, plasma model--full list TVs at Product Description) mentioned by several reviewers Won't feature it unless specified. No problem---it is grossly overpriced and you do not require it---it is simply 2 pairs of 3D glasses and a few kid's movies. 2 pairs of 3D glasses are incorporated with the TV. Samsung seems to be cagey about which type of 3D glasses is included---probably because they've changed with availability. With my case two 3500CR 3D glasses were included in the box while using TV. If you need more 3D glasses, look elsewhere than Amazon (such as your local Sears, really), and don't pay over $30 each. Be careful which model you purchase, only a few models (the 3100GB, 3300CR, 3500CR, or 3700CR) are built to help the Samsung 2011 model TVs (i.e., the D8000 series). My understanding is the 3500CR is identical on the 3700CR, other than the 3700CR can be also charged wirelessly (if you purchase a particular charging device). Since the 3500CR less difficult cheaper (apparently having been discontinued by Samsung in favor of the 3700CR), the 3500CR are probably the best option. Surprisingly, since January 2012, really the only 3D offerings are nature documentaries and children's movies---nothing worthwhile for your mature adult audience (not Avatar is otherwise engaged in 3D yet), but which will surely change.
WHY You want a BLUE-RAY PLAYER
Yes your old DVD player will continue to work using your Samsung D8000 TV, but you will end up disappointed. Sadly, the abomitable resolution of countless DVDs (many simply transfered from VCR recordings) as well as other defects are exaggerated around the big Samsung TVs. Even DVD movies you thought were particularly sharp and detailed (e.g., Lord from the Rings) on your smaller set are disappointing on the big Samsungs, particularly if played by using an old DVD player. Even if you do not prefer to buy a completely HD movie library (I do not), a Blu-ray player will provide you with a far greater picture with your (standard, low definition) DVD movies. Because: 1) the Blueray sends a digital in lieu of analog signal for the TV, and a pair of) it is a digital signal that is converted from "low D" to "HD", in lieu of an analog signal. If I have never convinced that you purchase a Blu-ray player, then a minimum of buy and "upscaling" or "upconverting" DVD player (hunt for "Upscaling DVD Player" on Amazon---you'll have your choice of endless weeks of frustration models as cheap as $15 used, $20 new). Upscaling DVD players won't play Blu-ray movies, however it will make your old DVDs look superior, often even rivaling Blu-ray (depending on the expertise of the original DVD recording). Naturally, blu-ray movies played on the blueray player over a D8000 Samsung are incredible.
WHICH BLUERAY PLAYER
Among the Blu-ray players which could fully keep the latest TV features (e.g., 3D) I've concluded how the Samsung BD-D5500 player is the best match with the D8000 series TVs. Compared to other brands, as an example: 1) The Samsung TV and player remotes are very similar, and both can control both TV along with the player. 2) If you choose the player through the TV source menu, the ball player automatically activates and begins play. Conversely, In the event you insert a disk inside player, it activates with all the player set since the "source". 3) Many functions with the player and also the TV will sync with each other---you need not concern yourself with the gamer finding myself one mode as the TV is in a different mode. For example, there are a number of "picture modes": dynamic, movie, natural, and (in the event the "source" is a Samsung player), "BDWise". "BDWise" is ALWAYS the most effective picture---but you will not have that option if your TV and player were different brands. 4) The logic with the TV and player is the similar, and that means you only have to learn one system. 5) You don't have to be worried about possible conflicting functions which can result from mixing different brand players and TVs. 3D is specially tricky and in all probability requires a close matchup from a player and TV. Particularly with this first generation of 3D movies, players, and TVs it is probably a good idea to purchase as closely "matched" players and TVs of the identical brand name and generation you could.
Among Samsung players DO NOT assume that a greater price or higher-model-number means more features---In fact, MOST more-expensive higher-model-# Samsung players have FEWER features compared to the DB-D5500. For example: the DB-D5700 apparently does NOT support (true) 3D. The DB-D6500 won't support simulated 2D to 3D. The Samsung website includes a function which compares Blu-ray players, which can be only a little help. Lots of the features are redundant---the D8000 TV supports them, so that you have no need for them on the player. For example the "Smart TV" features, web browsing, simulated 2D to 3D conversion, and wireless connectivity, is redundant (and therefore unnecessary)---because your D8000 TV does these. On the otherhand, you must have a 3D player to play and look at 3D movies. The Samsung website won't let you know which features you'll receive (or loose) with specific TV-player combinations.
HDMI CABLE
In any case, neither the tv screen nor the Blu-ray player (nor an upscaling DVD player) carries with it an HDMI cable. You must acquire one separately. Note it is essential to purchase the latest model HDMI (cable for example Mediabridge Ultra Series - Broadband HDMI Cable with Ethernet - (6 Feet) - Category 2 Certified - Supports 3D & Audio Return Channel [Latest HDMI Version Available] ) I ordered a 6' cable, changed my thoughts and canceled, then ordered a 3' cable, which it been found was way too short. Note the HDMI connections are about half-way on the best side from the TV. So, your player has to be pretty closed under the right side with the TV to get a 3' cable to adjust to.
HDMI CONNECTION
Neither my player manual nor the tv screen manual are evident which HDMI port to use. The TV appears to "expect" to find a DB-series player on ports #2, 3, or #4. Port #1 looks like it's reserved for "DVI"(which is actually a contradiction in terms, since DVI can be a plug/port type. Apparently this port is made for connecting a pc [or maybe a game box] to the TV having a DVI to HDMI cable) If use port #1, that usually confuse it, and helps it be sometimes hard for pick a "source". Port #2 supports audio-return--although I'm not really clear what which is, it truely does work. I oftentimes tried port #2.
USB CONNECTION
You can connect certain USB devices (including thumb drives) to PLAY movies, photos, or music. RECORDING (e.g., for time-shifting like we used to with VCRs) for the USB devices can be a different problem. Apparently this can be done regularly in the rest of the World, but is unsupported in america as a result of copyright issues. Whatever the case, although thumb drives PLAY fast enough, they do not RECORD fast enough---so to record, you need to plug in a conveyable harddrive (the same kind of portable harddrive you'd use along with your computer), and also have an app for the exact purpose. I haven't found a recording app for that BD-D5500, however i haven't looked way too hard. Of course, in case your PC includes a TV tuner, you'll be able to record Tv programs for your harddrive and play them about the TV (via a cable or over a thumbdrive, probably even over your LAN, while using proper app).
STREAMING MOVIES
Surely you've seen advertisements claiming that you MUST upgrade your DSL and wireless router to stream movies. Not the case. First of all, almost all routers support both physical and wireless connections. A physical connection with an ethernet cable is much much better than any wireless connection Mediabridge - Blue RJ45 Computer Networking Cat5e Ethernet Patch Cable - (25 Feet) ($6.50). However, I became amazed that I can watch Netflix movies on my own Samsung D8000 (or my Samsung Galaxy Tablet) with my moderate speed DSL and, antique D-Link DI-524 802.11b wireless router (that has been considered slow Decade ago)---with no buffering. Streaming a motion picture does decrease simultaneous access to the internet on a second computer in my home network, although not too severely. If you have several people streaming movies simultaneously (or playing interactive games over the internet), you may have to change your home network. You needs to have a moderately faster router than your DSL: (1) to suck every ounce of performance from your DSL, and (2) because used, a wireless network never operates at its full rated speed (due to low signal strength, interference with other wireless devices, etc.). Remember the router is often a one-time purchase (as there are probably no need to spend more money than $35 with a router), while DSL can be a monthly charge. The cheapest "n" series router needs to be over adequate for some homes.

If your husband/wife/etc. objects to spending much cash a TV: Consider dropping cable (~$80/month) and substituting Netflix ($8/month)(or some other competitive streaming service)---that's $864 a year vs $96 per year. 72,000 titles on demand---watch them any time you want. You'll save almost enough by 50 percent years to fund the tv screen. In Miami, my Samsung TV receives 52 free broadcast channels over the air, all network broadcasts are HD and really clear, via my 20-year-old analog antenna. With Netflix, who needs cable? Caveat: streaming sports services are available at expense, so you may choose to investigate information before stopping cable. I don't worry about sports, so I can't help you farther on that certain.
SUGGESTIION
If here is your first-time setting up wireless connections, enabling content providers, etc., be sure to schedule Six or seven hours and stay you've taken your Prosiac or Valium first, or find some 12-year-old kid to acheive it in your case in A quarter-hour. Neither the instructions, the net manual, nor customer service is really a lot help. Example 1) you cannot just connect an antenna, select "TV" as the source, pick a channel, and expect to see anything, since the default for "TV" is cable. You must customize the default to "air". Example 2) You cannot simply click about the "Netflix" app, and sign-in to Netflix (as you would with to see a show on your desktop monitor). Instead, you have to sign-up with Samsung, then sign-in with Samsung, then enable the Netflex access and enter passwords etc., THEN you can go through the Netflix app and choose a movie---fortunately, thereafter it automatically signs-in to Netflix for you whenever you pick the app.
Absolutely stunning. So much better than the PN64D8000.
SAMSUNG UN60D8000 vs PN64D8000
The overall image brightness from the PN64D8000 involved 20% darker than some other TV I've ever owned hence the picture found themselves looking dull and didn't pop off the screen the way I needed hoped it would. That overall brightness problem seemed to be complicated with a brightness throttle included in the TV that keeps the image at or below a fixed intensity. This throttle causes huge consistency problems as some scenes will appear perfect then and you also notice kick in if the most screen has truly light or white content as well as the TV keeps it from displaying a pure crisp white and instead it throttles it back so you have a muddy light grey. Before anyone tries to tell inform me it had been a calibration problem I realize that I work professionally inside film and video industry and I learn how to calibrate a TV which means this has not been an issue with the settings. In the event you look at review on televisioninfo.com same goes with identify that they tested the peak brightness in the PNXXD8000 plasma vs. the UNXXD8000 LED and also the plasma scored a 90.43 cd/m2 as the LED scored a 357.93 cd/m2 which is nearly 4x as bright.
The UN60D8000 could be the complete opposite as the picture is bright with pure whites and it has the very best overall quality I have ever seen on any TV. It handles everyday TV watching through DireTv incredibly well because the picture looks fantastic but if you watch a Bluray this TV is definitely jaw dropping.
OVERALL DESIGN AND SMART HUB
There isn't denying until this TV looks beautiful with it's thin edge and slim design makes it look nice whenever you out it about the wall. I wound up hanging mine about the wall since the four legged TV stand helped me nervous because it was stable sideways but it gave the look of it could possibly tip over fairly easily cab to tailgate. The Samsung Smart Hub is often a nice addition but when My goal is to surf the net I'd rather get it done on my small laptop and I learned that services like Hulu Plus and Netflix should picture after i ran them on my Playstation 3 vs the Smart Hub. I truly do utilize Yahoo! Smart Apps fairly regularly since it is a great way to check the weather, items on eBay as well as the latest tweets and never having to flip faraway from what you really are watching.
SMALL BLACK LEVEL UNIFORMITY ISSUES
There are a number of reviews that knock with TV for it's black level uniformity and there is some validity to this but having now owned both Samsung's top grade TV's I will tell you they both have a very some issues. Most plasma's will throttle back the white level however i never saw one as bad since the muddy and dull whites with the PN64D8000 plasma. At the same time any edge lit LED will have an issue in which the edges can look somewhat lighter as opposed to middle and you obtain a little of the on the UN60D8000. This TV does have a little of this issue nevertheless, you will simply see when the screen is very black and on mine it seems as being a subtle gradient that goes coming from a very dark grey to black running right to left. For me personally this slight black level problem would be a Many more acceptable as opposed to dull and muddy white point on his or her plasma which just wrecked my watching experience for TV, Bluray and PS3. If you calibrate your UN60D8000 you'll be able to basically totally eliminated the black level problem.
NO VIEWING ANGLE PROBLEMS
I also read a great deal of reviews which are really upon the viewing angle with this TV understanding that it had the narrowest angle from a LED TV in it's class so I had visions with the old projection TV's where should you weren't right in front of computer you undoubtedly couldn't see anything. My kitchen and living room are one big space while using kitchen sitting to the correct with the TV and I've had no problem in any respect watching from in regards to a 45-60 degree angle while I will be cooking. There isn't any noticeable reduction in any detail or contrast if you do not are almost standing near the TV.
I'M NOT A FAN OF 3D BUT This can CHANGE MY MIND
I have always thought that 3D was just for real for movie studios to charge more for movie tickets along with the movies I have seen with in the theaters never changed my thoughts. This TV was included with two pairs of 3D glasses and I threw my the 3D version of Tron Legacy into give it a shot i must say it absolutely was a lot better than any 3D experience I've ever had in any movies. I was while i tried the 3D out with Killzone 3 on Ps3 which i saw how really cool this can be. 3D gaming for this TV is actually fun and it is something I am doing frequently.
PS3 'MODE NOT SUPPORTED' PROBLEM SOLVED
The one issue We've while using TV is a concern I never saw in different review simply heard bout when i purchased the television which can be that there are a problem between Samsung LED TV's and gaming systems specially the Playstation 3. If you connect your Playstation some of the time you will observe the TV display a mistake message suddenly saying 'Mode not supported'. After months of trying something more important I came across the answer. On the PS3 check out Settings > Display Settings > Deep Color Output (HDMI) and hang up it to OFF. This solved each of the problems instantly.
Amazing tv!
We've were built with a couple HDTVs before, though the image quality for this Samsung is miles far beyond anything we have ever seen before. You will see little particulars on the screen you never could have noticed before - from smudges in people's eye make-up, to individual pieces of grass transferring the wind. Since we do not have our audio system installed yet, we have been able to try the internal speakers. For this incredibly skinny tv (less than 2 inches!) the quality of sound is superb. I'd still recommend obtaining a sound system to match it when getting better array of sound. But when you may not already own one , nor need to fork out the cash, the speakers about this sucker will do fine.
Samsung's "Smart Hub" internet features are wonderful too. Very intuitive and straightforward to work with. We've already utilized the Pandora and Netflix apps, and so are excited to try out online websites. The double sided Qwerty remote they are available in makes both typing inside apps, and normal tv viewing incredibly easy.
We haven't used the 3D yet - I'll return to update the way looks after we do.
The only complaint I've is the frameless style. We now have it on a cantilever wall-mount, and without a frame, everytime we adjust the television, we get smudges on screen.
Overall, we've very pleased with this tv; it can be versatile and the picture is downright amazing.
the tv i have already been expecting.
If you're on the fence about it Samsung UN60D8000 60" LED...
I have to punch a major hole during my own credibility though...I'm coming off a 65" Mitsubishi projection TV I've had for up to ten years.
But I did do a good amount of research as well as the UN60D8000 was the most effective value considering all of the features & specifications versus the cost.
There is mention of micro-dimming problems, edge bleed, picture uniformity, and screen glare in most reviews. I honestly can't distinguish any problems with the micro-dimming, or any edge-bleed or even picture uniformity (again, 65" projection for 10 yrs!). The screen is actually comparatively glossy; but, I purchased an articulating wall mount (Unibrak UNB550). So any glare is well removed by the slight tilt or swivel from the screen.
There have also been point out that there is no support for 5.1 multichannel audio through the SmartHub functionality. This could definitely be a problem for me, however i grabbed an LG LHB976 Blu-ray home theater system w/Smart TV & integrated Wi-Fi. This product connects to each media source that the Samsung UN60D8000 does & more, all in perfect 5.1 multichannel.
Word of warning: This TV is really magnificent, it's almost unbearable to watch anything in SD. Regular Cable looks horrible for this TV, HD cable is not bad, DVDs are good, game titles are perfect...nevertheless the detail of your Blu-ray disc will blow you away!! Netflix, Hulu, & Amazon Prime all look fantastic (in HD).
Make sure you decide on up a couple of very fast HDMI cables & try to do not forget that life's still taking place surrounding you as you grow absorbed in this incredible viewing experience ;)
Unbelievable clarity and contrast
My first delivery was refused due to damage during shipping. The second time was the charm.
With me being an audio/video novice, I discovered little calibration was involved to the tv within home theatre setup. The Samsung TV's output is utterly stunning otherwise impressive to my eyes, out from the box. With the help of a buddy, it was wall mounted and Avatar was slipped in the Blu-Ray player to check the tv's visual capabilities. My buddy that is an A/V semi-pro was literally awe struck. 2D images have the symptoms of depth. It's just beginning to feel normal in my opinion but it is not just a complaint. Rather, it's actually a realization how little detail other tvs can produce for the same video or broadcast.
Be aware the screen is glossy. Even the tv is placed in an incredibly brightly lit room, there's almost no notice of glare from sunlight in the tv (We have the tv tilted).
One nice feature could be the capacity to switch off the annoying Samsung light centered at the lower tv.
I have both antenna and cable (cable is via HDMI) connections for the tv. The antenna provides the best resolution from the two. Watching football from an OTA signal is an amazing experience.
The tv is a component of a home theatre including an A/V receiver and media server. Rather than utilize the built-in wireless wifi, I prefer an ethernet link with send movies from the media server to the tv. The tv and A/V sync perfectly for sound via the HMDI ARC port. The tv utilizes the media server, using the ethernet connection.
Now the down-side. After 14 days, the settings for that HDMI-CEC 'receiver on' usually do not keep. Not sure why. If you want to make use of this tv having an antenna, remember not every stations broadcast true 1080i signal. It will end up painfully obvious which stations aren't broadcasting true HD signals. If most of your reason to acquire this tv would be to watch 'regular' tv using an antenna, expect you'll be disappointed for most almost daily when viewing programming that is not in true HD. This is just not Samsung's fault yet it's a downside. Similarly, it'll be obvious which of the cable stations are not in true HD too. Also, Samsung won't utilize the ethernet capabilities from the HDMI cables but you'll need Very fast HDMI with Ethernet to get the 3D signal towards the TV out of your A/V receiver or Blu-Ray player.
In summary, I recommend anyone considering to get a big screen LED/LCD tv to think about Samsung.
PROS:
-impressive tv output, out with the box without any calibration. This tv makes watching sports (OTA HD signal) a simple, guiltless course of action (much to the list).
-2D images have depth, especially evident if you watch a BR movie or late DVD movie.
-single remote for both tv and BR player (both same brand)
-automatic update feature (when connected to the internet)
-easy integration which has a media server
-works well with Windows (Vista and 7) based computers with a home network
CONS:
-no capacity to stream videos straight to the tv using Amazon Prime. Do a web search to find more info. Easy deal with is to use some type of computer or game console to deliver the streaming video for the tv.
-cannot hold the setting kept to make about the A/V receiver automatically when turning on the tv. It always default to 'off'.
-glossy screen. Not a problem personally however the glossy screen might be a problem for some.
OTHER:
-if you are buying this tv online, consider the return policy in the seller before you buy. Amazon carries a great return/refund policy however you may need to wait for Amazon to own best pricing (it seems like to be a cycle when Amazon is the cheapest over their marketplace retailers and other trusted online stores). Personally, I can not imagine another online retailer which is much better than Amazon for customer service.
-you'll definitely require help lifting or placing this tv into place. It's too big and very expensive for the single person to lift it.
-there's lots of possibilities in establishing and calibrating the television the way you like. If you aren't too savy while using settings, hopefully, there is a friend that's knowledgable within the A/V arena to finalize the settings/calibration wish.
-there's a setting to automatically adjust the tv's brightness, according to lighting level in the room. I keep it on.
-if you want to wall mount a tv of this size, ensure that the wall mounting hardware is sturdy. And the hardware is securely mounted on the wall. Don't cut corners - mount directly to wall studs or masonry (never to the drywall or the mortar joints).
-if you research forums for your different tv offerings, you might come away with the idea all silver screen tvs are problematic. When asked, see your brick and mortar retailer(s) to assist you determine which is the best tv to suit your needs.
Update:
A handful of attempts at 'calibrating' (really, these folks were small adjustments) for the display unit for bluray movies and tv programming were manufactured in yesteryear little while. Minor adjustments were designed to backlighing, contrast, keep judder low, blur reduction high and automation on. The answers are much more impressive than before! The easiest way I will describe it, the image reproduction is so good it's life-like; it's being a peering thru a clean, clear window onto a scene and witnessing the action unfold with your presence. Watching the football games while using antenna is an ideal strategy to see the abilites with this tv to deliver outstanding video for your eyeballs.
Streaming videos from your NAS unit is smooth and void of video playback stutter or judder.
There's several wishes outstanding: real integration of non-Samsung A/V receivers while using the HDMI-CEC protocol (it proved helpful with my Yamaha receiver before Samsung's mid-December firmware update although not since), plus a not enough the Amazon Prime widget is a little annoying.
Don't hesitate..
Out with the box this TV is amazing. Came with 2 set of 3D glasses inside box. The thin bezel will probably be worth every penny. I was taking into consideration the 8000 plasma and chose this LED. I do not regret my decision for starters second. There is nothing else I could say. The remote is a little weird. I agree the QWERTY side needs a light. The SmartHub is nice however it is not only a PC experience. There really are a million settings to tweak the picture to your hearts content. The audio rocks !. Stop playing me babble and get it. You will be happy.|
What an incredible TV! But, won't have Amazon Prime app.
Sound quality is a little low, wait, how much sound could you get from your TV about a inch thick?
One item worth noting--the TV has apps for Hulu, Netflix along with other online content streamers. But you know what? No Amazon Prime app is available for your 2011 Samsung TV's! So, when you have Amazon Prime--you ought to access movies and Shows from Prime via a internet browser on the TV rather than directly through an Amazon app. It appears they have got integration with previous year Samsung TVs--BUT Steer clear The most recent MODELS. Neither Samsung nor Amazon Prime support could let me know if, or in the event the app can be available. Bummer.
Almost glad I obtained robbed!
Edit: 12/1/11
Please dont "take it from me", the advice ;)
WOW....Behold the Winner of 2011 Best T.V. Award!!!
Wow and WOW!
I went along to biggest score to see if they will price match this TV and they said they don't really price match with amazon, so I remarked that it was for sale by Paul's TV, so they really checked it on-line. Turns out Paul's TV will set you back a different price on amazon than their sale price on-line at their web-site and so i ordered from Amazon.
The TV arrived within Two days. Can't require better delivery service than that.
The picture with this TV is amazing and also the 3D is better yet. I replaced a 46" Samsung 3D TV with this one which is about 30% brighter than my old one and a lot thinner. The glasses are way cooler as opposed to ones I got myself with my old 3D TV and they're rechargeable.
All in every, if you are seeking a new TV, this can be a one to get.
1 of the BEST HDTV's we've owned to this date!
With nevertheless, this Samsung is the better TV I have seen and now own and am happy using the results. I've recommended it to any or all my buddies and family, right after they wipe over drool and close their mouths. :-)
Absolutely STELLAR display quality! Awesome delivery!
Amazon's White Glove Delivery was within the price along with a pleasant surprise! The deliverers brought the tv screen in to the house, unboxed it, assembled it, plugged it in, turned it on and tested against each other. They even wanted to haul away the lamp and packing materials! Much a lot better than the area store plopping it at the rear of your motor vehicle and letting YOU deal with all this! While I really do try to buy local while i can, Amazon beat the retail price by large sums of money along with the White Glove Delivery was icing for the cake. On to the TV:
Folks, for the moment, you are unable to get far more top grade as opposed to UN55D8000. It does pretty much anything it to! The image is brilliant and amazing; and 3D has definitely evolved a great deal since the days of red & blue 3D glasses within the theater! This set even includes a 3D Mode that may convert your standard, 2-dimensional shows in to a 3D of sorts. Sort of gimmicky I know... but it is there.
We obtained a Samsung HT-D6500W 3D Blu-Ray Home cinema as well, and fully expected the 2 approach each other. They are doing. They argue.
The most egregious demonstration of this became when I point our Logitech Harmony One universal remote on the system and press "Watch TV". It's configured to change everything on (who's does) as well as the satellite picture and sound came out beautifully... for 10-seconds. Then the input changed! Simply by itself! It would take 4 steps of going through various menus only to get our satellite back around the TV!
After a Samsung technician arrived and spent an hour . 5 troubleshooting it, we finally found the culprit: a characteristic called Anynet+ was enabled and then for some reason, the house Theater was changing inputs. Anynet+ is really a bell/whistle that actually doesn't have being there... specifically if you have a universal remote. What it does is control your home theater's volume and power in the TV remote. Since we utilize a universal remote, it's entirely unnecessary to cause more problems of computer fixes. I'm telling you: if you buy a Samsung Smart TV, a Samsung Smart Home theatre, and a universal remote, first thing you will want to do is disable Anynet+ inside settings. Believe me.
Don't expect much in the way of sound using this television. I mean, the majority of it's an inch thick; little room for speakers in there! Besides, if you're searching for a real home theater experience, you're likely not planning to wish to count on the TV's sound anyway for HD viewing. Spring to get a Samsung home theatre in a very box such as the HT-D6500.
All in all, I wish I possibly could give this TV 6 stars. It's network capable via wi-fi (ensure you come with an 802.11n speed router - b & g speeds won't make the grade here); it's 3D, it's brilliant once configured for your home kitchen; and Samsung's tech support is top-notch. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
The only, and i also mean ONLY, possible bad thing is that this user's manual is Around the TV. You'll be hard-pressed to find a hard-copy user's manual correctly. Though the guide that accompanies it pretty much covers basic principles and definately will perhaps you have up and running very quickly.
If you may buy, I hope you enjoy your UN55D8000 around we all do ours. Just disable Anynet+ and you ought to be fine.
EDIT: I forgot about this neat little feature called DLNA! In case your smartphone is DLNA-capable (like my Galaxy Nexus), it's super easy to stream music, photos and videos out of your phone on the UN55D8000 wirelessly! You just need to a DLNA client app in your phone (Skifta in the Android Market works brilliantly; I'm certain there's somethin for Apple products at the same time). The TV ask you to definitely let the source tool and away you go. Just hit "Exit" about the TV's remote if you are done. Easily think of whatever else I'll inform you.
Fantastic TV!
The Good:
- I had no problems installing it about the wall (though my handyman helped). Took about Half an hour.
- Set-up was increasingly easy. Took about 3 minutes to obtain attached to my house's wifi. Remote and 3D glasses paired without delay (two glasses were in the tv box, once I realized they have to be charged, everything was very beneficial).
- Fantastic picture-- after i work it to my liking. Live sports look incredible, and flicks seem like movies.
- 3D is amazing. I didn't think I would really like becoming up to I did so, but I'm hooked!
- I've had no difficulties with flashlighting or edge lighting like various other everyone has mentioned. I'm fairly tech savvy, if there is any defect inside the tv picture, it's miles too subtle will be able to notice.
The Bad:
- Default settings on the tv usually are not ideal. When I first turned on the television, any movies i watched appeared as if soap operas... a really video sort of look, which was very distracting. I spent about A half-hour trying different settings until I was able to make live tv look nice AND movies/dramatic shows look really good. My settings are below.
- The 3D glasses let down automatically after about Ten mins of not moving. So, should you be watching a 3D movie , nor turn your brain within that point, the glasses shut off and also you lose the 3D. Can be as easy to perform is shake the glasses plus they turn right back on, however it is annoying. Maybe there's some trick I'll find that help keep them on....
TV Settings I made use of:
Picture Settings-
Backlight: 16
Contrast: 100

While you'll probably should adjust some of these settings to your viewing environment and taste, this solved the "soap opera" effect making it live events and flicks look great, without needing to change settings.
Hope this assists!
Best 3D LED HDTV - PRICE + SIZE
The picture is amazing. Expensive but not one particular regret
I read many reviews where people complain about problems with the picture quality. I haven't experienced those issues and i also have had the TV for upwards of 3 months now.
Best TV I've ever watched!
That is a very SMART and clever thing to get on a TV. I not really know why the 65 inch came out I have a 55 inch TV. I expect it is
just as pleasant to look at because other, just bigger.
I didn't think this TV could be as nice as the black ones but it is better! My husband and children make an effort to take it over together with my son's
friends that like to experience 3D football or watch it in 3D with all the flip of the switch.
It's immaterial we've owned before! Great!|
Great TV smart hub play Netflix with 5.1 audio through onkyo TX-N509
Other then this tv is brand new.
The picture on this tv is great,I have seen reviews were people get stuck for the undeniable fact that a corner lite turns up on some corners.I've calibrated my picture turning on the back lit between 7 to 10 and this helps. I personally prefer the settings darker, I find it more natual then everything real bright.
here are my setting.

and i keep tweeking it
With DIRECTV the tv screen stations are perfect quality and also the color playing a blu-ray is ideal.
The glasses for watching a 3d blu-ray is 100% better then my 2010 Samsung PN50C7000 plasma, mind you the Plasma television is awesome don't get me wrong, I just get alot of flashing while using IR glasses, Blu-tooth is way better no disconnects when turning your face away. I think this is why Samsung changed to Blu tooth so soon.
UPDATE: i pointed out that some reviews were saying they just don't get 5.1 audio? The following is my setup Direct TV to my onkyo TX-N509 AV Receiver TV HDMI 2arc Very fast HDMI cable. I go to Smart Hub plus Netflix picked a netflix movie which has 5.1 audio played it, my receiver shows dolby digital 5.1 also played a motion picture from vudu also 5.1 therefore the reports that smart hub doesn't play in 5.1 unless i'm crazy and enjoy the only tv that plays 5.1 this tv supports it.
One more much of this 3D tv it's amazing. My issues are using the amount of 3D blu-ray's that exist, NOT VERY MANY. A lot of the ones available are 2D converted to 3D by the studio's. Thor is extremely dark in 3D and you also appear to lose many the 3d effect. It isn't really as a result of tv it is the blu ray's. That point on the opposite hand Beauty as well as the Beast is beautiful, Megamind is great with plenty of color. I can not await my Avatar Blu-ray 3d to come i'm getting your Panasonic Blu-ray Promo.
Great TV, simply beautiful
What a difference that is! The picture quality isn't impressive, it's inspiring. The colors are rich, the experience appears very smooth, and the detail is wonderful. Sports (especially hockey) is within another league.
Mine is installed on an articulating arm which extends about two feet through the wall cabinet it can be mounted in, and together with the ultra thin bezel - the tv screen seems like it's floating via a flight. Tends to make an incredible all-around visual.
I didn't buy this for that 3D, although it is a nice addition. It's impressive although not "blow-your-socks-away" amazing. I've only watched Avatar on Verizon FiOS, so I know it'll be better when I obtain a better content source. The glasses pair up easily, i get no distraction or headaches from putting them on.
The menu method is responsive, the hookup fairly straightforward - although I would have liked a lengthier power cord, given my specific placement. That's not me using the TV for audio, so can't comment on that.
The remote is over the top, needless to say.
And, wow - appears like a lot of folks are complaining about pairing the remote, or pairing the glasses, or getting the wireless network configurations perfectly. Lucky for us, the TV shipped using a complimentary owners manual and describes each one of these things in great detail. Read the manual and a lot of of people problems will go away.
If i could have sex with this TV I would....
This tv is amazing
I was checking Amazon and all the brick and mortar web sites everyday and when Best to buy lowered there price to 2247.99 I went directly to HH Gregg where they match plus 10 %! Also got a new Samsung 450 Soundbar while there. Took the entire kaboodle home but got to work. Mounted it on a Omnimount low profile unit purchased at Sam's Club (another story completely). Turning the 8000 on for the first time walks you thru a couple of steps the 1st of is connecting in your wifi. Easy. Waited on Directv to boot up and WOW, the image floored me. With the low profile mount it seems just like a big photo on a wall, it is so slim it are not appearing possible. Not a tremendous 3d fan i was not hoping to be stunned at any movie however i popped in Mega Mind 3d that had the 3d kit and quickly changed my mind. Since i have have Directv I also thought we would watch one of there 3d channels therefore i turned it to espn 3d and also the Auburn -South Carolina football replay was on, It was spectacular, this 3d thing may become popular all things considered. I haven't noticed any banding or light bleeding in about the edges and keep in mind that I have been looking. Really the only negative I can have to say is the sound just isn't very good...kinda muffled. Have a sound bar or some other external sound unit. The Smart Apps have worked good ,or otherwise the people I've tried( Netflix, SEC Network and YouTube). Utilizing the net by using this browser may test out your patience on account of using arrow secrets to select hyperlinks. Downloaded the Samsung Remote to my IPad and this didn't help. Well i guess, I'll just adhere to my pc or iPad for surfing. Hope this can help someone. In case you have questions just ask.
Finally a 21st Century TV!!!
The TV is awesome, picture quality/features/looks and much more. It can be Modern also it concerned time for you to integrate gadgets in the tv, in order to avoid every one of the clutter for connecting to tv. Integrations like Wireless internet, DLNA, Browser, qwerty remote really are a relocate the best direction. There are additional TVs that offer this, but Samsung UN55D8000 has done an excellent job normally made available. I obtained a superb price from Amazon that i'm happy thus far (been Three days). Will update if my estimation changes.
Better than expected! And i also expected PERFECTION!
I know that a lot of people think the television looks "too real", but I love the realistic nature with the image. With the tv hanging on the wall, the thin bezel (4mm) and also the realistic picture make it resemble you have been looking outside by way of a window. And for all of the cine-philes who still need to complain regarding the picture not looking cinema like, you will find modifications that one could make to match your tastes. So everyone can be at liberty!
One note concerning the delivery. I bought this tv from Paul's TV along with the tv arrived around an hour eariler than the course notes said it might. The tv is at a fit condition, but the glasses (3500) weren't inside the package. I left feedback for Paul's and a half hour later, they called me and told me that the glasses were on how and apologized again and again about the mix up.
Great tv, great service. Buy this tv and buy it from Paul's.
Great TV-Fabulous Picture!!
I toned the contrast & color down just a little from factory settings,( to obtain more life from the jawhorse), and also the picture is obviously amazing. The 3D is fairly nice too. It had 2 battery powered 3D glasses that synced quickly with all the TV. I'd a $45 coupon for the best Buy, and found the Samsung Megamind 3D Basic starter kit for $129, and so i only spent $84 to the Megamind 3D Blu Ray Kit, while Amazon was selling it for $184. Have Megamind, all Shrek 3D Blu Rays, plus ANOTHER pair of Samsung battery powered 3D glasses. The design is unique, nevertheless they still work with the 2011 and up Samsung 3D TVs. Colors, as well as the picture will almost always be phenomenal!! I looked at Megamind, IMAX Beneath the Sea, and Thor 3D's along with the 3D looks nice. Blacks are black.
The Smart TV hub found my router without difficulty. Many individuals complain about without having Amazon Prime Instant Video. I have it, as I use a Google TV, plus a Roku XS2. Each can be had for about $100. I'll be putting the Roku in the basement workout area feeding 2 32" LCDs later. Today We have 4 HDMI cables visible going to the TV's right side. I would like a 3D reciever to fix the clutter. I've decided on a Onkyo 709, and new surround speakers w/ sub. I didn't get that yet, but need to as my older Sony surround is on it's last legs. With that in mind, the sound from this TV is pretty good...considering how thin it's, however i wouldn't crank it. I purchased some year warranty
Great TV, Great picture, No problems!
I can't locate any lines or cloudiness or one of the stories being told here.
I changed my settings on the TV, bought new category 2 HDMI cables as well as set up all devices for higher definition.
I personally believe a lot of people in this forum have no idea the best way to connect and hang up this TV and blame it around the set rather than the connections.
Cloudiness is due to an extremely high brightness and contrast settings in the original vivid and normal mode. After you set it up lower (similar to plasma settings) everything just looks great.
When I connected it for reasons uknown the Sat box returned to 480p resolution without me knowing i thought the picture was horrible! Than I work it to 1080i now it is great!
This is just one with the examples why things look bad for other folks.
No complaints, love this TV.
Very satisfied with this LED delight
I did go to a few stores and just watch a movie without having attempt to see who had been who, concentrating only about the pictures and then for any distracting artifacts. Since this became before the Christmas buying season, there are vast variety of sets to view. After a few days, I was believing that I might opt for an LED mainly for saving money factor and use. There is not wrong having a television that's only an inch thick, either, being a wonderful update for the style and design.
The television won me finished with the creatative design touches, outstanding picture noted in many store displays, with an Amazon price that's actually a significant steal. I was able to choose the 46" model for less than $1600, free postage, no florida sales tax, and two set of 3D glasses inside the box. I ordered on Thursday and it was delivered the subsequent Monday.
The display quality out in the box is acceptable, but nowhere nearly as nice as you can get by hanging out fine tuning abdominal muscles numerous picture settings through the onscreen menu. I had already had our service upgraded to HD from our satellite provider, and we all were pretty much ready to go. I haven't yet add a sound bar somewhere, because sets in my family room, that i'm unsure we are ready for multichannel on a constant basis. Hubby has a tendency to turn things up too loud as is, i really have decided to live using the sound deliver to now.
I am Not just one of those folks who can provide concrete settings that may enable you to get the one and only BEST picture for every use. That being said, there are several forums and blogs that handle ideal settings common online, along with a new owner really should turn there for aid in fine tuning the picture. At the end during the day, I changed a number of small items that I prefered regardless of the best guidance in the video gurus. Remember, there is absolutely no harm to make a setting after which heading back and changing it everyday or two, after watching the tv and judging your opinion of regardless of whether you desire darker, faster, or perhaps 3D vs 2D.
I do advise that a single person be pretty much responsible for programming the settings, and telling all the others to be over menu. I have tweaked it in line with the observations of what family like , nor like, and that i usually work with it at night when it's quiet as there are little distraction. Use the principles, start according to your individual tastes.
The picture is fantastic, sound excellent for comes installed, as well as the programming is volumenous but straight forward. We do not have the web attached to the tv yet, since our DSL does not match the recommended 10 mb/sec yet. Furthermore, we've got laptops around the house, so for all of us it is a television first, internet portal a distant second.
We have had it up for any month or so, and i also know I would definitely buy this model again. While looking at the the latest models of, I didnrrrt find another tv that matched the colour accuracty and also the smooth action flow with the UN46D8000. I considered the 55" model, but just couldn't bring myself to make loose in the more income around Christmas. Since this replaces a 13 yr old machine, the dimensions at 46" will still blow you away. We employ this like a tv, not really a theather, hence the size works best for me without totally overfilling the space.
I did purchase the Square Trade warranty with this unit, i do use an uninterupted power source for electrical connections to reduce the injury that can be done with small daily power surges. It can be a fine part of electronic masterpiece, i simply want to have the most effective possiblity to live a long and healthy life!
Buy this tv for quality.
Shop around for optimum price.
Know what you really are ready to pay.
Be patient expecting a great deal to cross your path.
And then comes the last detail - take advantage of the picture each and every time you start the television!
Hope it will help.
GREAT TV, remote needs work
The picture is phenomenal as well as the black levels are all-around plasma levels. All that in a energy-efficient, light, thin package with GREAT industrial design. It is just a beautiful TV even though its off.
Gaming and Blu Ray look fantastic. HDTV looks decent however i think it is simply too good and shows numerous little minute flaws in many the what are named as "HDTV" broadcasts. Some looks crisp, some look a little weird. This is a 60" screen therefore it magnifies things a lttle bit. I havent even tried streaming everything because that crap looked terrible on my 50" TV which means this one its gonna look much more terrible. Netflix, you have a Long distance to choose video quality.
Now, I gave the television 5 stars because I dont want to ever utilize the remote that came with the tv screen. Howver, simply using it to configure the setting was AGGRAVATING to say the least. the buttons just would register unless you pressed down difficult on them. very frustrating.
Great purchase and i also would recommend this TV to anyone. You should not go plasma to obtain those rich darks anymore!|
Fantastic TV
Excellent set and service
I ordered the set from Amazon because: best price, no tax, free delivery, free return. The set was delivered exactly on-time as per the schedule I'd arranged (noon-2pm) and the "white glove" service included the knowledgeable deliverymen unboxing the set, inatallation about the included stand, and turning it on. After we all inspected for scratches, blemishes, etc. I signed a receipt and off they went.
I've been enjoying HD cable programming, Ps3 slim gaming (Cod: MW3), and watching streaming movies (via Netflix and Vudu). I didn't select this set as it supports 3D however i am glad it can. The 3D experience on this set is very good and i'm getting excited about viewing 3D as more content welcomes in. I also like the SmartHub feature -- there are some useful Samsung apps out i could instantly view slide shows of photo's coming from all our networked PC's.
Only two complaints: I do not such as the feel with the included remote then one of these two 3D headsets is DOA. I'll update this review with my example of finding a replacement headset.
My friends came in the other night i demonstrated all of the features to them. They went right home and purchased one on their own. THIS IS THE ONE -- Should you be Willing to BUY, DO IT NOW.

Great picture and wonderful technology!
One thing that is amazing to me will be the pores and wrinkles and blemishes that I think regular sets often blur enough to be able you are often to never notice, and also this means that you see additional. You are feeling just like you have been in the bedroom with the people in the shows and movies perhaps the regular broadcast quality shows are upscaled to an extent that you are amazed at how clean even that appears.
The wireless setup was simple now I could watch Netflix, YouTube, Vimeo, BBC news, Pandora and various other plugins which might be useful to not have to be using my computer.
If whatever else could be a great sales point is always that my partner agrees I made the best choice.
Thank you Samsung for another spectacular TV!
Simply Amazing!
The delivery crew was careful and considerate. They were gentle with the unit when unboxing it. They plugged it in and everything worked beautifully.
I HIGHLY recommend this TV to anyone looking for a bright, accurate, and exquisite picture. Certainly 100% with all the reviewers, this is "THE" TV. Really the only decision make is which size you need.
perfect
Great TV, everything included
Quality is excellent, design is amazing, and Amazon was obviously a good spot to order it from ($4 one-day Prime shipping and come to top condition). Recommend.
BEAutiful
Great Picture Quality
What an excellent Picture!
The TV does a great job of up-sizing the screen image to full lcd screen (my 2-year old Samsumg Plasma won't do this with the DLNA connection, only through regular TV inputs). The 2D to 3D capability can give some nice depth to some movie, however i suspect native 3D would have been a better experience (tomorrow will inform).
The internet connectivity and capability to run DLNA video streams over the wireless connection were terrific.. no extra cables to own! Also the web explorer can be a nice touch, even though the remote doesn't create a terriffic mouse pointing device.
All in all, it is a great television... thin as a dime, very light (an easy task to hold on the wall if you purchase the wall mount), having a great LED picture. Connectivity options are superior to Samsung's first offering, the 2D to 3D rendering does a fantastic job, and that i look ahead to native 3D movies over the following day roughly.
Love this TV
Great Picture - Amazing Design
With that out of the way - This TV is amazing. I pondered this purchase for months - Reading pro and con reviews, seeing the shows its head person, all night through blogs before making the choice to pull the trigger. I am amazed with all the black levels until this set produce which contrast well will the vibrant colors the set produces. Further, the Micro Dimming plus feature only obtainable on this model and the 7900 is constantly enhance contrast levels by automatically brightening and dimming small sections of the TV when said brightness is not needed. You can clearly notice this higher-end feature than on an arrangement without it.
The 3D exposure to this set was needlessly to say. No cross-talk or noise was noted within the picture. The 3D effect had slightly more depth than my passive 3D set, and produced a great 3D picture. The glasses are significantly lighter and much less annoying than previous generation active 3D glasses.
I easily mounted this set to my main bedroom wall while using the old Samsung Slim-Profile mount kit from your 40 inch Samsung LED until this set replaced. The kit worked fine, nevertheless the length of the screws was slightly way too short, and required me to perform to the local home warehouse to purchase longer screws. No biggie.
Also, it was frustrating to find the included remote to use the set. I attempted everything to pair the remote, without having prevail. Finally, looking on the web said that pairing cannot occur across a room, and also you should be inside a foot or two through the looking for pairing to function. I moved near to the TV, and reinitiated pairing, for which it finally worked. This may be included in the directions somewhere, however it had not been immediately noticed by me.
In short, I wonder in the event the folks who had difficulties with this unit had earlier build models that are distinctive from those shipping now. This TV is by far the most effective I have purchased, and well worth the price paid. The ultra-slim bezel is surely an engineering and design wonder, which is actually very "Apple Like" with its minimalist appearance. I wouldn't spend any additional cash this set unless you intend to wall-mount it, because this set is supposed to be hung on the wall like a frameless canvas painting.
Great Picture!
The Media HUB is also useful, because it has use of Netflix, YouTube and also a couple of other useful apps. Mind you the WIFI works awesome with this TV. I can have a full movie from netflix without having issues or hicups. I had created read that some people were saying that the WIFI had not been good, but I must disagree simply because this works good on my TV.
I do recommend for the surround system to go with the picture quality. The built in speakers are certainly not exceptional, but that it's common with each one of these TV's.
I recommend the Sony BDV-HZ970W Blu-ray Player Entertainment System available too here on Amazon. Even though Anynet+ feature is apparently inconsistent but that appears to be standard.
Anyway, If you trying to find a great picture this is the TV!!!
Awesome TV!
Very happy
Didn't genuinely wish to formulate 2 large for the television set, but am Happy Used to.
Excellent!!!!!!!
Beware: Doesn't support Amazon Instant Videos
As to the television itself, the picture quality is stunning. The colors are rich and really stick out. The blacks are truly black. Sometimes you might understand the edge lit on the unit, yet it's rare if you ask me. I've only find it during transition periods, when the screen blanks out temporarily. I suspect that it is due to broadcast itself. I wouldn't hold this against the television. This unit is packed with features and apps, opening the doors open up to online content. The keyboard about the remote is an excellent feature, although governing the mouse cursor with it can be frustrating sometimes.
The 3D is fun and quite good. You can engage in it by watching a few of the online with free streaming videos when you connect the machine to the Internet.
The two strongest points going for the UN55D8000 include the stunning image quality and plethora of online widgets available for online content, besides an Amazon Instant Video widget.
For the retail price I got it for, it had been a fantastic product!
This review just isn't very technical it's just a layman's average Joe-consumer perspective. I used to be looking forward to a small number of the high-end models to lower below $2000 before considering purchasing them and once they did I went on doing my comparison. So from my perspective after making the rounds several stores including essentially one-stop stores that sell high-end TV's to electronics big box stores like Fry's to specialty/high-fidelity stores simply to visually compare the various models side-by-side, if not from your distance once they weren't close to the other person, the UND8000 and UND7000 series (2D wise) were probably the brightest and most brilliant colors with the bunch (e.g., comparing with similarly priced and sized models like LG Infinia 47LW6500 and LE8500, the Vizio XVT3D47SV, Sony Bravia KDLEX720 series and Bravia KDL-NX720 series). Really the only place I came across the Sony Bravia XBR46HX929 was in a Sony store and it-was the only real other model I seriously liked better and yes it was just what I was trying to find, but that's beyond my price range. So, which was out.
Sure, this model has some difficulty with clouding on the edges, it-is an edge-lit LCD in the end, and so i expected some of that, but I believe the UND8000/7000's local dimming actually works very well to minimize that affect and produce in regards to the darks more evenly and therefore, if you ask me, it's not that distracting. Apart from the TV sits inside a room that's not dark anyway hence the clouding is negligible. I wouldn't get an edge-lit LCD whether it was entering a dark or blacked out room-I'd probably get yourself a plasma. I like the fact that objects for the rear aren't reflected on the screen when I'm watching except, at some level, in dark scenes. Nonetheless, I don't have any rear lighting; all of the lighting is originating from above. The only bothering part aesthetically to me was at the end of the TV is really a notch (i.e., inside the UND8000 series; the 7000-series can be a uniformed frame) that frames a "Samsung" sign that is certainly lit automagically once you turn the TV on (it can be turned off, why have even it?); in my opinion it is simply a distracting design feature. Paring the QWERTY remote was pretty easy, however i often see some frustration when it wasn't performed correcly initially. Connecting to my home's wireless network went pretty smooth. Enough HDMI connections (about the right side of the TV) for my use (I only absolutely need two, one for my receiver and any devices is attached to might one for that DVD. Others may need more.) and antenna connection that's angled down instead of perpendicular for the set. Yes, I prefer an antenna since i have will not want cable. Streaming up to now has been smooth, however i do it through my Blueray. Navigating the internet is okay, however i don't utilize my TV for that. Samsung has several apps that I've yet to attempt so that's in the future update.
To me the sound isn't spectacular, but it is much better than average. Again, at as flat as it is, I'm astonished at the surround-sound-like quality. I've not were required to adjust the sound yet becuase it's "accurate" enough for me personally. Now, if I'm watching some epic movie where "sound effects" are section of the experience and that i need more bass as well, then I personally use my amps, but that probably matches all TV's regardless. So, sound in my experience can be a non-issue. A lot better than many flat screens I've paid attention to.
The 3D is actually pretty decent; I watched NFL on 3D and I think I favor watching it on 2D. However with 3D you really need to have the monitor complete quite as much of your periphery as you possibly can, i.e., the further you settle-back the greater the TV must be. Otherwise, it just has a "3D feel", however, not necessarily a "3D experience", I not really know how else to spell it out that. About the weight in the glasses, I am not sure what people are referring to when they claim it's "heavy", the 3D glasses that came with the set are pretty light to me; such as the weight of an handful of passive ones that you will get from your theater. I suppose I could've gotten the UND7000 series and saved big money, but for something I would, at most of the pay $1800 for with additional features a bit better 3D that we got essentially for that expense of UND7000-series on discount sales, as well as the two 3D glasses in tow, I couldn't pass it down (i.e. $1339 on "deal of the day" on Amazon). But simply in the event something does get it wrong (it's a "Samsung" and Samsungs are recognized for frequent repairs versus Sony's, but less frequently than Vizio's or LG's) I went along to Costco and bought SquareTrade's 3-year guarantee for $99 for TV's costing greater than $1000 and starts AFTER the manufacturer's warranty expires that's 15 months after the date of purchase (whenever you register your UND8000, Samsung adds A few months warranty in addition to the conventional 1 year warranty); once you choose the SquareTrade warranty from Amazon that retails for $149 that warranty begins at the purchase date.
So, yes price did indeed element in when determining the rating I gave this device, because for your price I got myself it at, I had been essentially now comparing it towards the lower-end models of the spectrum of the high-end models...and the UND8000 blows them all away that is certainly a 5-star in my book.
Tip for syncing the remote - Updates
I ordered mine through Amazon and yes it come to top condition. 3D glasses are a promotion rebate and you can complete some documentation online, but you ought to wait to have them. (Update: Received the glasses but zero instructions together - doh!)
I decided to order the 2011 Panasonic 310 Blueray with this particular, however i am awaiting the initial units to be shipped. My previous experiences is that the two devices are very effective together, but a universal remote like the Harmony One is the way to go.
The cause of choosing the Panasonic is to get the Amazon On Demand App, which is not currently offered on this TV. Also it is a very good player.
I have rented video from the 3 in the apps and discovered the one which includes 5.1 audio as well as an SD picture for $3.99.
I did notice that during a couple of the firmware updates, my picture settings were reset. Go for the CNET review as well as set your TV up to their reference spec. and you will probably see what this TV is absolutely able to. Out in the box the picture is blue and can judder on some sources.
Samsung rocked my TV watching world
We started having a Sony 55" HX909 (or something like that, their model numbers are beyond non-sensical). The television worked for around 15 minutes then failed. Sony wanted to send a tech out, but we declined. When it did run, the sony were built with a great image. We instead opted to make it returned (amazon made this very easy).
Having already bought Sony 3D glasses and IR dongle, I tried another sony, the 55" NX810. It a beautiful design and mostly worked. Unfortunately, there were two dark spots on screen. Other than those two brown spots, the NX810 would be a good TV. We did notice somewhat weirdness with all the local dimming causing the whole image to sometimes get noticeably brighter and dimmer when there was clearly a scene which was just about the cusp. The 3D was decent, but 3D video and then there was a large amount of contrast between something inside the foreground and background did bleed by having a fair amount.
We called up sony regarding the dark spots and so they a company that services TVs call us to get a fix under warranty. The business indicated the panel should be replaced nevertheless the replacement was on backorder. After a couple of weeks, we have got an appointment from Sony offering to exchange our TV since part was on backorder. A month after that, we have got a trip again from Sony indicating the TV was on backorder and would not be designed for 8 weeks. We have talking to Amazon plus they coordinated to offer the TV returned.
The day HomeDirect came to pick-up the NX810, we attended our local BestBuy to view TVs in person. The brand new 2011 Samsung 55" 8000 was our favorite. All things considered the down sides we'd with the last two TVs, we made a decision to purchase with a offline store and we all could easily return the TV when it failed to surpass our expectations. We loaded the Samsung at the back of a corvette (the TV box, just like the tv, is pretty small) and drove it home. It wasn't as nice as Amazon's service, but we had been nervous about finding a third bad TV.
We unpacked it also it was awesome. Whenever we bought the television, we have a core kit with glasses. Apparently they don't use IR for your 3D glasses anymore, they've moved to bluetooth based on the sales guy inside store. The 3D for the Samsung blew away the 3D about the Sony. Every one of the ghosting we had around the Sony vanished. Tangled 3D, Shrek 1 3D and GranTourismo 5 looked great.
I love this TV. it looks great if it is off. The picture quality looks great when it's on. To complete the look, it functions rather well with my new Onkyo receiver. I wanted an HDMI 1.4a change to move across the 3D through the PS3. I could not find any HDMI 1.4a switches, however the Onkyo receivers weren't too costly, so I got a TX-NR708 or something like that. The frustrating thing about TVs happens to be getting audio in the TV time for the receiver. With HDMI 1.4a, there's a sound return channel. Exactly the same HDMI cable that carries audio and video from my stereo receiver towards the television enable you to send audio from your television returning to the receiver. I did don't fully grasp this working initially because the audio return channel is merely supported on HDMI2 (called ARC about the back from the TV). A quick perusal from the manual clarified this. Since we'd never utilize the TV tuner (live TV, this time in age? Seriously, who watches TV with no DVR?), I did not think this audio return channel thing would be all that useful nevertheless the TV has support for Hulu, Netflix and Pandora internal. Starting up these apps for the TV increase the risk for receiver to automatically switch to audio from the TV. It itself will turn the receiver don and doff so when the receiver is on, the TV automatically disables the TV speakers and the volume control around the TV remote actually controls the receiver volume. I did not need to spend hours figuring out the best way to set this up either, it simply worked.
To be fair, the Sony also were able to seamlessly using the receiver, so this seems to be a standard that new TVs have adopted. Produce, this is the larger revolution in entertainment than 3D.
It is great that the remote features a flip side which has a qwerty keyboard. The qwerty side of the remote uses bluetooth as opposed to IR and must be paired. As noted in most of the other reviews, the pairing is tricky to have working. You will have to retain the remote inches from your TV (for pairing only, so you only need to pair once) and possibly try several times. I found themselves getting my remote in a weird state where I could not pair it. Calling tech support, the phone tree wasn't deep and i also weren't required to wait on hold. The technician informed me in the trick of holding on the @ and backspace buttons for some seconds to reset the remote. And then, the pairing handled the initial try. It had been disappointing the reset magic wasn't included in the manual, but Samsung a lot more than comprised because of it having a live person will talk to that required no hold time.
Keep in the great work Samsung!
The Best LED! Best of all than the 2012 ES8000
Excellent TV
The only bad thing about this TV could be that the smart apps has a while to load. But, I believe that is a hardware issue and samsung will release an update immediately.
I will offer a 10/10 just for this TV and recommend it to anyone who wants a good TV.
Samsung 60 Inch TV
WORTH EVERY PENNY Magnificent (For the time being)
I first saw this system while i walked in a Greatest coupe store. They were built with a wall full of LED 47,55 and 60 inch 240HZ TV's on demo however, this model's picture jumped right out at me. I currently have an LG LED 47 inch 240HZ set and couldn't believe the difference despite the fact that i love my LG set. I asked the sales representative in the event the Samsung Tv was set up differently than every one of the others? He answered no, we have them set the identical. I believe he explained vivid. I ask him well, how can this be set picture am crisp and clear even right close up? He answered, that they beleives that Samsung just a better screen than most other brands.
I am not usually impressed by products being displayed at the store however I became this time. Well, I analyzed the reviews on the net and most spoke very highly from the set. Of course there's always a thing that a person would really like or otherwise not like, even me. I really do wish it used PASSIVE 3D glasses however I seriously don't utilize that function much. The remote and TV have so much Smarts with keys on both sides of the remote I will get a scaled down one like lesser designs have.
Samsung's web page "RECOMMENDS" their wall mounting system well I recently used the generic one that had been up on my wall. This mount had all kinds of different hardware to adjust to most brands approximately 59 or 60 inches. A SANUS VMPL50 i beleive.
The Samsung includes a larger screen than my LG but concerned 15 lbs. lighter.
AMAZON handled this order just great. They priced matched towards the lowest on there list of authorzed retailers. Thanks, AMAZON.

Even though the shipping as supposed to be what AMAZON called "WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY". The shipper should really view the unit enough to make about the set and test drive it so that it activates and picture screen looks acceptable both cosmetically and functionally. THIS WHITE GLOVE SERVICE INFORMATION IS VIRTUALLY A quotation FROM AN AMAZON REPRESENTATIVE! Both the delivery people for me just weren't quallified. They simply desired to drop the SEALED box off, have me sign correctly, and drive away. I mented for many years that what AMAZON said concerning the WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY SERVICE. They said OH! OK! If that's what I really wanted. Well, they fumbled around and got it partialyy out of the box i inspeced the contents. One in the delivery people got the remote to put the batteries in it and DROPPED IT On my small HARD TILE FLOOR fumbling around looking to position the batteries inside it backwards. Well I took over and also got things squared away. Everything is fine for some in the meantime. The set looks great however We have lots to find out about all its funtions.
I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TV TO OTHERS. THE PICTURE Is excellent. I enjoy THIS TV Thus far. I HOPE NOTHING Fails From it HOWEVER I DID Obtain a SQUARE TRADE POLICY.
I RECOMEND THAT YOU GO TO SAMSUNG'S WEB SITE AND DOWNLOAD THE MANUAL AND LOOK AT THE SETS FUNTIONS BEFORE PURCHASING IT Reduced the problem MAKE MY DECISION.
AGAIN AMAZON THEMSELVES HANDLED EVERYTHING WONDERFULLY!!!
Can't beat it!
Greatest Tv ever!
Great TV
Fantastic!
I didn't run into the create issues that others have mentioned. The truth is, it was turn on and go. No screen issues either. The one thing I might mention is when you might be using external speakers, make sure to check the audio settings to external speakers rather than the TV's speakers. The television sound is fine, but 3D with my multichannel surround sound is knock your socks off.
Would I di it again? In a heartbeat! This really is one big purchase I do not and won't regret. If you are thinking of this one, accomplish it!
Excellent TV - Involve some quirks but image quality is amazing and also this TV looks really sexy
Honestly Someone said the CNET report on this TV and watched Video review , plus they did point out that you see some white light in a dark scene , I would say i had created that issue too and remedy it i simply lowered the backlight and brightness and BOOM it turned out gone.
Picture quality is excellent with bluray's , Netflix and playing MW3 about this all more enjoyable.
I do wish that i would have ordered the un60d7000 for just $400 more as there is not only a hugeeee distinction between this and 60d7000. but big size , styling and picture would've definitely been nice. Well its not a ccomplaint , I am a guy i could not accept how big the tv I've regardless of whether I had a 80" I'd personally have took it for any 100".
Great TV , Haven't had any issues thus far(knock on wood), not using samsung remote by it , using Harmony 1100 for my setup.
Oh and I also bought the square trade 4 yr warranty to the Tv , in order to be secure and safe.

Awesome TV! Glad I waited A few years.
It is a good picture all around. Before i had created full HD on the house I did watch some standard Def channels which were fuzzy, but that is being expected if you have a substandard quality signal and screw it up up 4 times bigger it had been ever produced to be seen clearly.
The sound is definitely great if you enable the enhanced audio. Now do not forget that this TV is only 1" thick, so getting anything apart from average sound had not been expected. A communication though, be sure it has a wall behind it to reflect the sound. Free standing it far from a reflective back surface can make the audio sound weak.
WARNING!/NOTE! The lower profile TV wall mount I got myself was an up-sell from the vendor. I wasted $100 accomplishing this. The UN55D8000 has sunken screw threads for your Samsung low profile puck mounts. This leaves a 1/3" space bewteen the back of the screen and also the threaded hole. The typical screws that accompany the wall mounts WILL NOT be long enough. I walked through Costco today and discovered that Samsung un55D8000 series will be the only TV maker using the sunken holes. Don't simply go to a home improvement store and get longer screws without knowing what you are doing or knowing the consequences. Obtaining a screw a long time (even by the 1/4") could drive the threads with the front glass!! The seller suggested this if you ask me so when an engineer I know I could take action without issue, however i do not want that liability... I just spent big money around the TV!
The touch-screen remote required quite some time to determine. A button "pointer" could be the "enter" key either side of the remote and sits relating to the four directional arrow keys. In pointer mode, you slide your finger over the "enter" key involving the 4 arrow buttons like everyone else swipe your finger across a touchpad on a laptop. User friendly but was not described well.
Netflix, Vudu and HuluPlus are awesome to watch on this TV. If you plenty of bandwidth on your own home web connection, you'll have fantastic picture with these services.|
Fantastic TV!
As far as aesthetics go, my wife and I both love design for the television. We have it mounted into our fireplace mantle current ultra slim bezel the picture quite literally appears like it's popping out of the fireplace.
The 3D experience has also been fantastic! You don't really notice much loss in terms of color tone and saturation. I think we watched 6 hours of 3D movies day one and didn't have any headache or eye strain issues. They definitely designed a solid 3D product.
I know individuals have were unsatisfied with vertical banding issues, but I haven't noticed them. Maybe it's using the calibration settings I finished up using? I have noticed some uneven lighting towards the bottom and top from the screen when loading certain backgrounds, nevertheless it has by no means affected viewing performance if you watch TV or playing PS3 games so it hasn't bothered me at all.
The only gripe i have using the unit could be the stupid remote. It's clunky and not very responsive; sometimes I'll have to push some control 3 or 4 times ahead of the TV responds on the command. This happens mostly while wanting to do things inside the Smart Hub, but I've also noticed lag every so often during normal TV viewing.
The purchase through Amazon was just right as well. The TV came a week when we ordered it, the person who delivered the TV took out in the box and powered it up to make sure it wasn't damaged during delivery. No problems there.
Overall I'd provide whole experience a 9.5 away from 10. Minus .5 for Samsung selling this little bit of crap remote with their top grade TV models.
Samsung achieved it again
Cons:
All to easy to set up
Crystal picture
Apps and internet are supper.
Light weight
Pros:
Remote must upgrade to touch green. You'll find too many buttons. Easy get confuse
Calibration picture having a while.( I dislike the calibration setting from CNET)
Great Buy
Was great as they are. Cleaning it once a to calibrate it using the guidelines, but I and my lady liked the settings along with. We intend to stay with those for now.
Tried the 2D to 3D native conversion and was just amazed by what the TV could do on its own.
We loved the world wide web TV functoinalities particularly the power to search all apps from one single place on the Smart hub, but think the person interface for many in the apps had not been pretty much as good. Might buy Apple TV to fix this dilemma.
I travel for my job and i also just saw the blue ray player got delivered. Cannot wait to obtain back home :)
All in every an excellent buy!! Would definately recommend it
Great TV
Great TV
Awesome
The 2D - 3D conversion is effective.
Motionflow 960 is way superios to my plasma.
Wireless is really a boon.
Love it Adore it Adore it
Great out from the box
I Love It
WOW!
Working at last
Wow, My god it's filled with stars!
Worth the cash!
I spent lots of time researching a good tv inside the 2000 USD budget range, and that i narrowed my search down to this TV and also a Sony HX929 (something like that). It would have been a little scary investigating some reviews about this tv, particularly with negative comments like banding issues, color distortion, and hardware controller failures. However, the cost was 700 dollars cheaper as opposed to Sony, i really chose to take a shot. I, together with all kinds of other people, who've received the Aug 2011 build designs have not had any problems. The TV is 30 days old, rather than one issue. Perfect.
Picture quality is amazing!!
The only minor issue I've has been the internal applications, they run / strain on the slow side, however i didnt buy this TV for the children. I purchased it for excellent pictures / movies, and thus far that is what I've received.
Simply amazing...
Awesome TV.
This connects to internet/wifi, offering several apps including facebook and Pandora through Samsung's Smart Hub. Several 3D videos are also available through the Smart Hub totally free.
I've played 1080p games for the PS3, and it looks amazing. I recommend this TV to anyone searching for a high end TV, regardless of what they'd put it on for most - sports, gaming, movies, or general TV watching.
Great HDTV!!!
The best image quality!
Awsome TV
Very nice. The best value.
Picture quality is amazingly clear. Haven't notice any 'halo' effect as a few reviewers had mentioned. Contrast was set way too high (100%) out from the box therefore we adjusted it as a result of about 60-65% and is also an extremely bright picture. With 4 HDMI connectors we're in great shape. Also offers a video/gaming cable that connects to its very own slot so my XBOX360 is attached as well. Have my wireless headphones plugged into an audio-out jack so my wireless headphones are connected and i also can view TV without disturbing the rest of the house let into the evening.
So far, we love finished .. We had arrived even able to take benefit from a 3-D bundle that Amazon offered that included a Samsung Blu-Ray player, along with the Mega Mind 3-D starter Kit which includes 4 Srek DVDs along with the 3-D Mega Mind movie and a pair of electronic 3-D glasses. Such as the two pair that was included with the RV we are able to have 4 sightseeing 3-D, or just shut off the 3-D feature on the TV settings and observe a 3-D movie in 2-D instead. A great deal of features. Many 'Freebies' when accessing the Smart Hub (built in wireless adapter) feature which requires wireless internet, but everyone's wireless right now anyway. Hope this assists people produce a little more informed descision.
One more thing, this TV shipped FREE because we now have Amazon Prime.
Michael
Great tv for your money
Cost is often a premium in case I order a tv I want so that it is worth the investment and continue for 8-10 years. My last tv was top of line 5 years back is definitely still great now. This tv will be worth the investment.
Sound is good. Not an expert so no comment.
3D is great. Was included with rechargable glasses which is top line.
Super thin and light-weight. Samsung can be a top brand so no quality issues. Alot of smart feautures but I dont make use of them. No reply to them.
Highly recommend. And dont use standard shipping for that first tv was damaged was required to await another. use scheduled shipping might be it's going to be better.
NOT PLAYING VIDEOS ON HULU
Excellent TV
So real that we are using a hard time adjusting to it.
Lucky my Microsoft Force Feedback joystick has got the identical connector therefore i hook it up and that is all I needed to connect for the TV.
I setup the wireless and that i was immediately capable of access my NAS and started streaming movies from it.
I was at AWE!!! Avatar at 1080p was insanely beautiful. It almost look fake.
Once I upgraded my cable and got my HD box, watching television shows is not the same anymore. I watched Terranova and i also felt like I was watching Times of us.
The amount of detail and also the "novela" look is a bit annoying but I'm marveled in the realism.
I'm a devoted soccer fan and that i watched Fox Sports in HD and I will easily notice how awful the cameramen have become. It is not uncommon to locate them shooting out-of-focus, whilst in a consistent TV I wouldn't even notice that in any respect.
I haven't experience any conditions that people have mentioned. I'm simply using the Standard picture type i haven't used the settings enough to tune my TV up to my lightning conditions, however when I do, I will update.
Aesthetically, I don't think there is a TV which comes close to that one. I think my only design complain would be that the connectors are saved to an unacceptable side in the TV for my setup (the previous model had every one of the connectors inside best side for my setup) so my cables ought to travel longer, however, it's a minor issue. Also I have never mounted the television yet, but I'm intending on doing it as well as the mount has already been placed in the rear of it. I have to simply drill the holes inside my wall and have it done.
I would research a whole lot before selecting a 55" TV. I am aware we all like bigger and.. but I find my 55" TV on the edge of "too big" for my living room (And I have a BIG family area) So be careful what you buy and be sure it's right for you.
Other than that, I'm loving my TV.. I do think it is a great buy and i also paid 1,800 for this. I've no complains thus far!
UPDATE: 02/01/2012
So We have owned this TV for little over the month and i also can provide you with a better review.
Picture quality continues to be the best I've ever seen. I watch HD channels and i also love the quality. Furthermore, i stream movies from my NAS device without a single issue. As a matter of fact, I purchased an XBOX because I thought I'd require it to stream the films beyond my Synology NAS, however, it can enjoy anything (kinda like VLC) along with the XBOX sometimes screams who's needs codecs or perhaps the format is not compatible.
As far as gaming goes, I cannot match up against a plasma TV because I never played games on a single, however i understand plasma TVs will be the gaming TV due to refresh rate, however, I don't think the Samsung has almost anything to envy with a 600MHZ. plasma television. Gaming is amazing if you have doubts about how precisely this TV will perform which has a console, don't even hesitate!
No issues are observed as much as ghosting or other issues like this.
Conclusion: Would I buy this TV again? DEFINITELY!
UPDATE: 05/31/2012
6 months of ownership, TV is flawless. I ran across one issue with the present firmware. Easily have the option enabled to possess other devices managing the TV including my iPhone, then for a few odd reason the TV won't save my wireless configuration i will need to configure it whenever I first turn on the tv screen. I had to call Samsung support to comprehend what the error was and they also were aware of the problem. Just a little annoyance however it is not just a huge problem since I'm setting up my 5.1 environment and that i will obtain a Logitech Harmony remote to control everything i really will not using my phone.
Other than that, no dead pixels, no flash lightning or anything like that. This TV is dependable, I'm hoping it can stay doing this for about 5-6 years! :)
I would recommend this TV to the one any day. I am aware the updated versions are excellent but this TV should be heavy discounted now.
Life-like picture
Don't parrot catch phrases online. See with your own individual eyes!
I decided determined by actually watching the D8000 in action (side-by-side comparison to the peak TVs). The most effective plasmas literally paled compared. It's beyond me how anyone could think this TV looks anything below AMAZING. I can't praise this TV enough. It's undoubtedly the top TV I've ever witnessed personally.
Samsung 65
great tv!!!
first is my main complaint there's merely one a/v slot and 1 rca slot which means that your limited of what you've add if you decide to have ps3 plus a 360 you want a 4 way switch of course, if there is a theater set your in big trouble but a rca/av switch fixes this challenge. one other issue is the built in wifi the signal is extremeley weak. My router generally is 8 feet away from the tv and watching youtube or a number of the movies it's built-in stream extremley slow or dont stream in any way also the electricity adapter is very short about 1 foot long so that it should be extremely near a local store but all in all i rate this tv a 9.2
PROS: great picture, multiple apps, 3d technology ready tv may be the genuine article and high hd quality
CONS: expensive tv, built-in wifi is often a weak transmitter, powercord short, too few inputs behind tv
Great TV
LED vs. Plasma: My Own Test!
So my choices came down to those:
1) Purchase a Samsung Plasma
2) Obtain a Samsung LED
Right now, for cash, a Samsung e-Series Plasma is an excellent television. - but it is not the LED. Not by the long-shot. You will get a fantastic Samsung Plasma 50" for $700-800. The comparable 55" LED, depending on the model you're going with (D-Series or E-Series) can run $1700-3,000.
As one last "test", I attended a shop with a few Blu-Ray movies in-hand. I got the salesperson to setup the Blu-Ray player around the UN55D8000 - and went through some comparisons while using LED and also the Plasma (Model PN51D530). It was strange, because I believed this is something an average consumer would do, though the Salesperson said, "Actually, I have been to put 7 years - and you are the initial person who has talked about to go through this." - Which kind of amazed me!? After the visual checks, the LED blew the Plasma away. I sat looking at each television and watched a number of scenes. Additionally, I watched the Matrix and several other Pixar/Disney movies, as the kids will likely be watching this TV with me.
As an instant recap, the overall issues that pushed me into the LED:
1) Picture Quality: At the final of the day, for me, this should drive you buy decision. I were watching AVATAR on Blu-Ray - along with the image quality with the movie was simply flawless. The edges were sharp, the movement scenes were incredible, as well as the colors inside the forests were vibrant and simply amazing. You get vertigo at a few points, because it feels so real, that I felt like I used to be being pulled into the environment. Just breath-taking.
2) Cool Looking: When you obtain this tv set up, among the first stuff you will notice is merely how great looking it is in your eyes. The bezel is virtually non-existent, it is very thin, compact and plenty of ergonomic thought went into its design.
By just how, the plasma pictured looked pretty good. - but even salesperson said hello the very best, "This isn't obviously any good contest, could it be?" Now, granted, the LED TV, with taxes and my warranty wound up totaling $2100. - Which can be probably more than I would have allocated to a whole new TV. HOWEVER, I will be planning on using this television for 7-8 years. My last Samsung DLP has lasted me 11 years, having purchased it in 2001 - and it's also STILL doing GREAT. (I put it within the kids' room, for them to use with their Xbox.)
I hope this review helps several of you which may be being affected by you buy the car decision.
Best LED 3D Display / TV available!
In addition, I had created a matter for Samsung over the weekend. I went online, got the 800 number and called. No wait! The support person answered my question straight away. Incredible service.
You will more than likely acquire the best price from ABT Electronics. A rep at Samsung's display store on Columbus circle in NYC recommended these phones me and they were fantastic. Best price (they are going to negotiate on the telephone), free postage and no sales tax. Unit included the free 3D starter kit. LED display is well packed i had no problems connecting it to my new Denon multichannel system and Samsung BD-D6700 Blue-Ray 3D DVD player (also got quite a lot on these from ABT).
I recommend receiving a Samsung Blue-Ray using this TV. Best to check the brands = fewer compatibility problems.
Don't hesitate one second if you are considering another LED TV. I spent recent times watching and researching these displays as well as the D8000 is in no way the most effective.
BTW, normal channels using your cable provider don't render well with this or some other HD LED TV. You MUST replace your cable box for an HD model. Time Warner's HD channels start taking 700. All the HD channels are amazing about this TV. Just don't get worried if you switch the signal from a consistent channel and it doesn't look great. It's not the LED display.
For an amazing high-end system, I suggest this LED display along with the BD-D6700 blue-ray along with the Denon AVR-4311CI multichannel receiver with internal amplifiers. It's all you want as well as a great pair of speakers (recall the speakers are most critical so don't go cheap for the speakers). I eradicated my B&K separate preamp and amplifiers (that have been considerably more expensive) and this system sounds far better and is also easier to use!
And don't forget to buy high quality things HDMI cables. They are directional, so be sure you connect them inside the right manner.
Out from the box jaw dropper!
I just purchased the 55" version with plans to upgrade from my 40" LED Samsung. Amazon used a carrier I haven't heard of before, therefore i was cautious of this. However it works out that, Pilot, was obviously a good carrier. The delivery time involved 1 hour before some tips i had wanted, the trucker was more than careful enough in unloading and handling of the TV, and i also saw what sort of TV was strapped within the truck. All of that was great and when he the choice is yours down in my house I looked over the box and popped it open to glance inside, no damage what so ever. So props to Amazon on selecting a great delivery company and props to Pilot for their methods.
Now In regards to the TV. To start with, pulling against each other in the box and also the first visual from it was amazing. The television is slim, sleek, and sexy. The thin border frame just causes it to be look bigger than it happens to be. Putting the stand together and attaching it had been easy, my next purchase is a wall mount for it. Then looking inside the box for your remote and cables I seen another small black box. For all your reviewers nevertheless they had to send set for the 3D glasses must have missed the deal, since they were included in the box with all the TV. The QWERTY remote is just amazing too.
I plugged it in and turned it on, in addition to synced the remote to it. On initial turn on it called for the setup of for english and couple other activities like wireless router or hard-wired. Got all that done, updated with the newest version of software, and restarted. All within 5 minutes. And then, I began viewing television and using the remote. The image is amazing, the remote is not hard to make use of, and having the web was easy. Hooked it up to my Xbox 360 system, and again, no dissatisfied. Superior picture.
I've only had the television for around Six hours now, but have not had any disappointments yet. So far this is an amazing TV and i am glad I upgraded to it.
I will update this inside one or two weeks, of course, if there are any problems with this TV I will add it here for your viewing, in addition to any solutions.
**UPDATE** 21 Dec 2001**
I've now had this TV for just on the week(roughly 10 to 12 hours of play time a day) and still no disappointment. The image has manage to only progress plus more clear. It absolutely was just like the LED lights needed to loosen up along with the image quality got better. I've not only watched simple TV, sports, movies, 3D movies, and played games like racing, shooter, and sports games. For the people folks who suffer from mentioned motion blur and fuzzy picures, must either have a very bad product or possess the settings setup wrong. For my picture settings We've it set to natural while using back light set to fifteen away from 20. My lounge might be a darker than most i really dislike a bright TV. With that said, We've no motion blur what so ever. I've played Battlefield 3 multiplayer and Dirt 3, both with many different action and movement, rather than one blur. I've also watched a couple 3D movies and they also look wonderful for this TV.
I've had no issues to date and possess not were required to contact Samsung for anything. If I will i will post on here exactly what the problem was and solution. But up to now I uphold the product and the rating We have trained with.
I know I am probably removing some stuff with this, when you have questions, comments, concerns, do write and that i will reply back as soon as I see it. I'll in addition try to do an additional updated review after about a month of owning it.|
Excellent picture
A previous reviewer mentioned a challenge pairing the keyboard side in the remote. I had the identical problem, and chatted which has a Samsung rep. He linked me to a instruction page that have the key piece of information it doesn't appear to be located elsewhere. You ought to contain the remote Not far from the tv screen when pairing. If From the right, the instructions said within eight inches. I held the remote about four inches from your screen, after which it worked being a champ the 1st time.
Espetacular image
Awesome TV at an Awesome Price!
Great TV
I've noticed some people talking about the brightness issue but I was without any. I bought the square trade insurance in the event. To date, I could not be happier about the TV.
Great TV, No Issues, Amazing Quality
The TV was very light in comparison to our older Panasonic plasma and now we hooked our MAC Mini approximately it and it will be history. We will post more updates as time progresses but we couldn't be a little more happier with this purchase, shipping and quality. Thanks AMAZON!
Update 11/17/2011:
We just noticed a red dot on our screen, comparable to a red pointer pen. On the product with Amazon processing an exchange. We love this particular TV and never would like to get another, help keep everyone updated having a followup! I did post a pic in the red dot under images.
Best TV ever
This TV replaced another Samsung I aquired a couple years ago...a 46" LCD. The picture is usually a lot better than the existing TV, nevertheless the sound seems better too. I've got a Sony multichannel audio system which appears to sound better with this particular TV...I'm not sure if it's in my head you aren't, nonetheless it seems I can't need to turn up the volume as loud on my own multichannel audio system anymore. I think it's great that my Samsung remote can control my Sony audio system. My old TV couldn't make it happen. I also downloaded a no cost iPhone app so I can use my phone as a handy remote control too. The smart TV features are excellent. I didn't see myself with these at all, however i use them. I avoid using the 3D glasses in any way...I attempted these with Arkham City on PS3 just to try them. I've never been a fan of 3D, specially the glasses, this isn't a problem specific for this TV.
Blu rays, DVDs, TV, PS3, and Netflix all look good for this TV. Just like everyone else states, the television itself also looks amazing. I'm unsure if I'd pay the automobile of $3,700 because of this TV, or any TV as an example...but I found it for $2,000 with free postage. I was a little concerned with paying very much for any TV, but I'm extremely pleased with my purchase to date. I think in order to I'd become dissatisfied using this type of purchase is if one of many following happens: 1)the cost drops to $1,000 in the next many months 2)greater television technology makes this set obsolete next several months or 3)it craps from me following the warranty expires.
I strongly suggest this television to anyone who has a couple thousand dollars to burn on a TV. When I had been at Biggest score and comparing the picture quality of the TV to any or all another ones, this really was the top. Just be mindful in places you place it since the screen is equipped with a little bit of reflection in it in the event the screen goes dark. All in most, I will be extremely satisfied with my purchase and i also have zero regrets/complaints about the TV. It's completely raised the bar for virtually any TV I'll consider buying in the future.
No Complaints
So - that being all said - I've followed the buying price of this number of TVs going back 11 months with all the intention of purchasing during this time period of the year - saw Amazon a great deal - and then we took benefit from it. Now - we have spent time researching and reading reviews off and on the past 11 months I used to be concerned with a couple of things - mainly people's bad experiences to keep an eye out for a couple things.
We received our TV yesterday evening - There is no damage in shipping (thanks a lot Amazon at no cost shipping!) The delivery company unpacked as well as set in the TV and stayed until I tested it and was satisfied in it's condition upon delivery (I wasn't expecting that).
The TV itself - comparing it while using only TV I've owned - (because I've noticed it is precisely what most of the people do, however most testamonials are from individuals who have had multiple TVs (flat panel and otherwise) - this Samsung is absolutly breath taking. Out with the box we watched "How to coach your Dragon" on Blue-Ray. I have to say -with our pre existing home stereo - this became the 1st time actually (for not enough better words) experienced that movie. We watched it without any ambient lights on - there were no LED pixels bleeding anywhere - no cloudy images (to my untrained eyes). Due to my complete lack of experience to high end TVs - that is hands down a 5 star after day 1. I'll leave more feedback if that changes. I certainly hope I don't need to take Samsung customer support depending on each of the negative experince individuals have had with these. I also purchased the SquareTrade warranty - so, that should no less than cover my final cost. More to check out as appropriate.
Awesome TV
Incredible!
Pull the trigger because of this, I dont think you or your family will regret it!
Samsung UN46D8000 HD 3D TV
Ok, and so i obtain the TV delivered, and what can I find? 2 pairs of 3d glasses were included, when I went to set the each of the calibration stuff, these folks were already as near as you can get for amazing (compaired on the settings I discovered online. Yea!). I assume Samsung has been paying attention to their customers, and took proper care of the glasses and calibration complaints before sending these TVs out. I had been happy, understandably!!!
Reviews mentioned other conditions too, but thus far, I would not see any with the halos, blue corners, or white dot I keep listening to, i don't know if those problems are that wide-spread because they were before. Also pointed out that most of the complaints about the screens were from individuals who bought screens larger than 46" (50" and above).
I'm happy with my Samsung 3d HDTV. Now all I want to do is get knowledgeable about full functionalities :)

I love this TV!
I think it'll be a long time before anything better comes down the pike.
Great product
Cool and amazing resolution
Best TV Ever
Simply the best!
Having got a new TV from Amazon before, I felt totally comfortable ordering from their website again. The TV was provided by Paul's TVs, which I have never ordered anything from previously, but having seen every one of the positive reviews, I felt reassured. The reason for getting this TV through Amazon vs a major box retailer came down towards the price. Local retailers were charging $400-$600 MORE just for this exact same TV, and Amazon had free freight.
The TV was scheduled for delivery between 10am and 1pm, and yes it was delivered exactly at 12pm. The men in the shipping company were kind and professional. They provided i was happy with the device before signing the delivery forms. They made likely to unpack it personally and also to make physical inspection of the unit too. Additionally they wanted to setup these devices to me, however i declined like me completely proficient at handling that myself.
Now onto the TV...
After connecting my TiVo and having everything plugged in, I fired up it. It automatically involved through the setup process. It found my wireless and that i surely could connect very easily. Updates (I believe there were 14) were downloaded towards the TV within 2-3 minutes. As soon as the setup was complete I changed the input source to my TiVo and that i was just stunned by the image quality. Along with was perfect as well as the clarity was unbelievable. I also have a very 55" Sony Bravia that was merely one model year-old, and also the image quality of this Samsung completely outclasses the Sony. Samsung's Clear Motion 960 can be seen as there is just no blurring when we move or through regular action scenes. The style is obviously super crisp and also the colors are vivid and bright. I used to be watching a 1999 episode of Law and Order, and that i tell you, it never looked nearly as good. It looked as if it was designed for 1080p broadcast, and we know that last 1999 it surely wasn't. It was like watching the show on the blu-ray disc. I was just amazed. Everything you watch with this TV appears to be up-converted. All shows, despite how old they are, look amazing.
The Smart Hub feature is my new favorite tool. Having Netflix and other streaming services built straight into my TV, rather than employing an external device is absolutely the very best. Smart Hub also provides countless other nice features like games, informative apps like weather, etc. The built-in internet browser is a bit clunky to navigate, but certainly an incredible feature. I used to be capable to visit many of my popular websites and save these to favorites with ease. While using AllShare feature is also amazing for the reason that TV found movies and music on my own computer and I was able to watch and tune in to them over my house's WIFI seamlessly. This does require that you just install software on your computer, however it was not necessarily an inconvenience. Allshare can be acquired via Samsung's website for PC, in case you use a Mac like I actually do, just download TV Mobili and it's the same and is effective.
3D: unreal! It enables you, having a push in the button for the remote, to transform everything else you are watching to 3D. Without a doubt, it really is cool and brings a new experience to whatever it is you happen to be watching. Both the included 3D glasses charge quickly with the included USB cable with all the USB ports on the television. The glasses very easily pair while using TV having a simple press of a button about the glasses. I watched Lord with the Rings: The Fellowship from the Ring, that has been on HBO back then i converted it to 3D also it was simply amazing. I'm looking towards watching many of the most popular movies now in 3D. Also i have a very PS3 connected to the TV via HDMI and 3D movies look much better than 3D movies view in the theater. I am unable to wait to get a few more titles in 3D now.
If you've got a smartphone, like many individuals do now, you can find apps available that simulate the remote control on the phone to help you use your phone as being a remote - how cool is that! I downloaded the app to my iPhone and today We have an extra remote for my TV. I additionally hold the remote app for my TiVo at the same time.
**NOTE**: The remote for that TV has to be pointed on the TV for this to operate it's best. If you point it slightly off-angle it does not seem to send the signal towards the TV. Just be sure to point it with the TV and you will be fine. The TiVo remote doesn't require line-of-sight to work, but apparently this one does, you should be conscious of it.
To sum up my review, if you're planning on this TV plus a plasma and other make of TV, don't even hesitate to have this TV. It is just the very best and blows away the quality (or lack there of) of other brands. I compared this TV with Panasonic's, Sony's, Sharps, etc. that others just can't compare. This TV is slim, sleek and contains a lot of features. Quality was clearly the best priority here and Samsung came through with flying colors. I look forward to many never ending hours of TV viewing for many years. Thank Samsung - nice job!
Samsung UN55D8000
- image is both crisp & vibrant without any flashlighting
- impressive sound (for built-in speakers)
- form is impressively thin (Not the thinnest in the marketplace but noteworthy)
- in the back, the inputs are located about the left side, placed in and feed on the bottom and left edges
- the thin bezel puts the main focus on what you're watching
- interface is incredibly nice - funding in the same way important as the thinness of these televisions
- unique two sided remote helps make the interactive functions a lot more enjoyable
- the most effective looking sets available
The another thing I could not appear to get any info on was the component / composite connections. I've a few old AV components that might require the analog connections. So, for anybody else in similar circumstances, the set features a mini-jack connector (two prong 1/8") that enables first component then one composite connection. This works fine until I can update these older components.
Also, the manual won't give you the more information in pairing the remote. I'd to go into touch with Samsung Customer support that was very helpful but nevertheless took some time to hunt down the missing details. When pairing the remote - the remote *** Has to be Lower than EIGHT INCHES Outside the TELEVISION *** Hopefully, future manuals will be updated to reflect this missing detail.
Beautiful Picture
Awesome color and great 3D experience

Awesome TV
One of the finest out there
Smart TV gives a amount of ready apps to accommodate the requirements.
All Share helps it be very easy to talk about anything around the TV from your Samsung phone, whether it's music or videos or pics.
You will love this TV.
You may have some flash lighting inside a dark room. I hated this in the beginning but it is only noticeable because the blacks are extremely intensely black. When I take a look at other TV's now their blacks look grey in my opinion plus it drives me nuts. Just a little flashlighting on loading screens and stuff like that is completely acceptable in my opinion, while you never see it watching or playing anything along with the blacks are incredible.
The Smart TV stuff is pretty laggy. I see they have got made the processor dual core within the newer models.
I've had this TV for over annually now and that i find it irresistible. I'd recommend using the ECO solution stuff to dim the backlight in dark rooms so you do not see the flashlighting as quickly, at full brightness in the dark room this TV far too bright anyways.
Also, Samsung support is fantastic. My C series started having some weird lighting issues and they also replaced it with this particular TV! They also was required to send a tech out to replace the board with this TV when it bricked throughout a firmware update. It takes merely them a day or two to transmit the guy right to the house.
Amazing!!!
led tv
2012 model features a different base that will not swivel. Which was crucial that you me. Think Samsung missed the boat by devoid of the choice for bases.Love the Samsung line.
BEST TV I've ever bought
I for just one have experienced a fantastic exposure to ALL Samsung TV's, this also one is no exception. I have been previously employing this puppy for around a year now and is also still right and don't ceases to impress my pals.
Bought it when it first arrived, carefully examined packaging and pixels. Maybe my eyes deceive me, but I scanned a couple of times with a few friends and we all couldn't discover a dead pixel (that's impossible). Build took minutes.
Picture quality, is quite difficult to define and clearly many of the reviews allow me to share summary. "Oh it's too dark, it's too bright, an excessive amount of color" But in another review, it's interpreted as "Deep beautiful blacks, crisp sharp illumination, dynamic popping refined colors." Having having said that, there are some things which might be consistently important, and I know this model hits everything. Faithful reproduction of geometry and colours. I know such as the 240hz, although if you've never witnessed it it might take a serious amounts of conform to and it is not for anyone. Adjustment options plentiful, and may please most critics, whether it is subjective as it can. Images have become uniform edge to edge, there's no "bright or dark" corners/borders.
If you play game titles, be sure you first turn on "Game Mode", it will prevent "lag" issues. Breathtaking gaming when you understand it setup.
3D, the very best of all of the models, including some of Samsung's own, once i tried a number of them at various retailers F??'s and B??? B??s. That i'm really bothered by folks who say "oh it's dark, it's too dark." Think about it, this is the limit in the technology. You simply can't point at wheels of an car and repeat the tires are far too round. Active shutter is "SHUTTING" shades to create images in 3D. We will just think of it as "rich beautiful deepening in the black" also? Company, you may make it bright to make up, but you'd also need to adjust the contrast, so it will be possible to evolve but I'm certain people will complain "I want to do that everytime for 3D?" Whether it bothers you, don't buy it, Active Shutter 3D just isn't in your case, it isn't really a great "con."
Tested all of the ports, able and bountiful.
Bezel is nearly a mirage, AWESOME.
However, there's nothing perfect in daily life, here are some conditions I think are REAL cons:
The Allshare / SmartTV are nice features, but please Increase the apps. They're upsettingly slow.
Menu speed overall may be improved as well. A few of the features are difficult to get to. Game Mode, to tell the truth, needs to be a critical feature rather than be so deep inside menu.
Internet speed too slow. Hardwired into my router, my 3g phone still run circles around it loading websites etc.
The remote controller eats batteries too fast (needed to buy rechargeable batteries)
*FIXED* Annoying popup screen for firmware update (Thanks for stopping that)
Would be nice to come with increased 3d glasses.
I think these are more nitpicks, but overall, great investment.
Ridiculous picture and features
Switching TV picture modes
The only way i can see is usually to manually adjust the settings forwards and backwards. It would be great if you can set Custom to a single batch of settings, and something in the other 4 modes completely to another setting.
This way, if you watch sports, i could consider our prime quality mode (where the soap opera effect doesnt matter), then swich returning to the objective mode when watching "normal" tv.
Anyway, sorry again for your no-tech words here, im scripting this while away from my tv.
Great
One big con is i am unable to get amazon instant TV app...but very happy with Netflix

Samsung samart tv
Unbelievable
Awesome TV
WOW Its Great
3D is extremely good about the Directv channels and when using Blu Ray. This could be the 2011 model however i love it and still find it a far greater value compared to the new 2012 model.
Highly recommeded! FYI,We've the 46 inch screen.
Great looking screen and that i love the thin silver bezel that makes the screen look very sleek.
After 5 months
I love this TV
Picture quality:
The picture quality is phenominal, the colors come through clear, and I have no "halo" effect, with one exception, occasionally in 3-D mode when the picture is really dark I notice a slight "halo" effect around the side of the screen. The new I noticed I was thinking "Oh Crap, I should have followed another reviews!" Then I began to realize which it only happened in 3-D mode, then with further testing\trouble shooting, I realized that the "halo" effect would always happen on a single shows\commercials\movies, as well as on the movies and commercials always with the same places. So, Then i found a non 3-D DVD that would possess the halo effect while i position the tv into 3-D mode. I then watched the identical scene Five times and saw how the effect looked exactly the same and would start and stop on the exact same time whenever I watched it. I then took it out of 3-D mode and watched the same scene no halo effect. My conclusion... TV is okay, but maybe they have issues sometimes coping with older recording formats. I have never fully tested and never prefer to, however it does seem will narrow the situation right down to older movies, or poor recorded shows. I have seen that after I watch a show on "regular" channels I sometimes begin to see the halo effect, however, if I watch exactly the same show by using an HD channel I do not start to see the effect. In any case I'll keep notes of after i notice it, and pay very close attention when it starts happening more frequently. I may also come here every so often and post my findings.
Smart Hub:
I love this feature in my TV, yet again We have it I can't ever see me using a TV without it.
Netflix: Plays videos great quickly and easily, even HD videos come through clear without buffering problems. The interface isn't as inclusive while i would love, but that's most likely a worry with Netflix, not Samsung. Also its very annoying to have the qwerty remote, but nevertheless have to use the onscreen keyboard for Netflix, but again I really believe that could be the Netflix App not being built to accept the remotes qwerty input again laying the problem with netflix.
Web Browser: I love surfing the net on my small TV, and when I figured out the center button for the directional pad was really an impression mouse pad it made browsing easier still. The only issue I've had thus far is that playing video from some websites does not work well, it either won't play at all, or it freezes up right after minutes of play. But that isn't high of a worry since most of the videos I watch I'm able to utilize Youtube App, or Facebook App to see.
You Tube: No issues here, I will search and play videos and having no problems watching things i want.
Facebook: The interface is somewhat limited in comparison to the full web version, however i have discovered that to be true with just about every Facebook application I have used. I manipulate apps on the I-Phone, Android, Blackberry, and X-Box 360 and every one of them limit what you are able and cannot do. Its still nice so that you can check status updates and whatnot during comercial breaks.
App Store: Fun, but I do not use it much, with having n X-Box 360 I can't see much need inside.
Hulu: I have not used this application except to view some of the free clips, I still need not upgraded my Hulu account, in case I really do and it works just like the free clips do, I could cancel my Cable completely.
I really haven't messed with most with the other applications on the Smarthub and so i cannot discuss them, but with the applications I have tried personally I've no real complaints, and then any I really do mostly fall for the developer in the application.|
Amazing TV!
Everything about this TV is nice. The image and 3D effects are perfect, almost unreal. The sound is very useful. The Wi-Fi and a lot of Apps provides many options of entertainment (up to now I haven't had the oppertunity to understand more about them). It comes with two pairs of 3D glasses rechargeable. These glasses are lighter and adaptive to facial contours although you may use glasses (at all like me).
As if all of this were not enough, it has a beautiful and chic design. Starting at the base (Quad Stand), just over One inch wide and also the Ultra Slim Bezel practically cause you to see just the beautiful screen encompassed by a sophisticated silver border!
Definitely your best option. It hardly any moves me go to the cinema!

Amazon's aspects of concern:
On the opposite hand, the identical is not said regarding the delivery company contracted by Amazon.com. The TV was scheduled to become delivered 04/03/2012, also it has not been delivered until 04/09/2012. To ensure this to occur I needed to call the contracted company on multiple occasions and absent of your resolution stood a conversation using the manasger. It had been surprising to comprehend that right now of my communication using the delivery company they were not sure where the TV was. I researched and identified who was simply the secondary company responsible for actually delivering it and spoke to at least one with the agents. This agent indicated they were waiting for the TV to reach their facility. Again, I contacted the original company in control of the delivery and they indicated that the secondary company had the TV. In short, after multiple communications and headaches the tv screen was discovered in the secondary company and subsequently delivered after scheduled. Amazon should pay close attention to this sort of situation no promote further business using the company.
LOVE this TV!!!!!
very delighted by TV
Real nice TV
One thing for certain: it's an awfully pretty TV.
Nice tv!
Great TV
If you're basic person who wants the very best TV for buck but doesn't nitpick over any little issue, you'll have donrrrt worry using this TV. Take comes from an everyday run of the mill TV viewer.|
Well worth the money
great TV
Love the Samsung display image
BEST PICTURE I'VE EVER SEEN
Finest picture I've ever seen with a TV
However, when the kids were here at Christmas they complained re the playback quality look (soap opera effect). Checking the world wide web, I came across when I turned off the motion also in the menu, citizens were happy. Once i watch sports, I first turn on the motion plus.
This unit brings joy to viewing tv and films.
Buy it.
Samsung 55 D8000
Amazing 3D
what a beaty
SUPERB TV
Great TV!
You will not dissapointed
The something We've noticed immediately would be that the screen has some trouble rendering slow scenes smoothly. Probably some fine tuning will perform but every few seconds approximately it does use a little jitter.
3D 's what it can be. Conversion isn't bad, however i won't be utilizing it often apart from showing rid of it.
Finally, aesthetically, being used beautiful - far beyond anything I possibly could have guessed taking a look at pictures. It appears like a high class digital camera. Even 7000 series looks downright plasticy and cheap next to it.
If you acquire it - appreciate it!
Unbelievable!!!!!
Very Happy I had been not swayed by Negative AMAZON Reviewers
Great TV for the price.
You seem like you have the Picture
Smart Design!
love my samsung 8000 60'
Spectacular picture and also the 3D is exciting
Love this TV
Biggest picture for any small space!
As far as picture, I think it is excellent. I did tone the contrast and brightness down from the factory settings to match my taste but everyone that sees it loves it. We didn't really want the 3D feature yet but usually have enjoyed a couple 3D movies. The pair of glasses that it ships with are nice for me. Better compared to the ones displayed at the stores. The price was excellent through Amazon.com. The price dropped to $1,309.76 with free delivery and hang up. After I ordered it, it dropped another $17.00 to $1294.00 i made a call and so they refunded the real difference. It hasn't been that low since. I purchased before Christmas also it was delivered within a couple days. It shipped with White Glove setup which my wife needed to sign a waiver for to own them leave it inside the box. I wanted to hold the honors. Frys and finest Buy said that Amazon's price was below their cost and couldn't match locally.
The sound from the integrated speakers aren't great plus my opinion must be tell you an entertainment system. I cant imagine what size of speakers they squeezed in to the thin TV cabinet. It does, however sound great through my Denon AVR1912 system.
In breakdown of my review and one other note:
1. I love the picture size. The only thing concerning the picture I would not like is the glass surface that reflects any lights on in the background if you are watching a movie. During regular TV watching, I do not even notice it. I guess I buy more critical if you watch a film.
2. Speakers are a little tinny sounding automatically, but I don't notice that given it plays through my AVR receiver now.
I would buy it again and recommend it to friends.|
samsung
nice!!!
Awesome TV
Awesome TV! Im happy now!!!
I bought this samsung un55d8000 from pauls tv through amazon. awesome service and free delivery plus no tax!!
I was skeptical about another TV while i did not need to return a different one however i figured what is!
The 8000 has more features then a 7000 along with the samsung emblem fires up. It included 2 sets of 3500 series 3d glasses which can be good give you don't need to spend another 200.00 to have them.
I
The picture is awesome, better still then your 7000 series. The flashlighting is incredibly slight but way way less then this previous model i delivered back.
overall i enjoy this TV if your enthusiastic about it, i recommend it. Hopefully you're going to get one minus the flashlight issue.
Greatest picture ever!!!
This tv is something I would recommend to my best friends!!!!
WOW Love the clarity ...
Pros :
* Amazing Clarity, can't complain anymore about it( Mentioned in cons got rectified after making use of it to get a month )
* 3D experiece is fascinating.
* 2D -> 3D is also good and lives upto my expectations.
* Looks are also appealing.
* Like to see the vibrant colors flowing within it.
* Firmware get automatically updated to suit your needs thru Wifi, which means you are least bothered over it.
Cons :
* Having got utilized to Apple products, Apps are slow. They're just about for that name sake. (But I mostly use my ipad or iphone, so not problem for me personally, but good to own them around.) But you are not darn slow. But Samsung should definetly increase the speed in the apps. And particularly the netflix app sucks.
* Audio quality needs to have been better. (However i possess a bose cinemate set up)
* If you watch a film in dark type of background, I found some white spots inside the all over the place sides. However when I started utilizing it, after watching it for around a month, they appear to vanish. I just read this in most blogs and also right here at your website which is absolutely true.
Great Tv
Great TV, great price, great service!
Simply Awesome!!!
Unbelievable TV
The kind of this TV is merely breath taking... It's basically almost all screen. Much more pleasing than other things I've seen. Next I connected the HDMI cable from my Comcast Cable box and did several clicks through the set-up (skipping the network set-up) also it was ready to go. The picture quality is simply amazing... Actually, I watched several episodes of NCIS (from 2003) on USA HD... The standard was far superior to anything I've seen before. It appears like the folks are space with you.
Next, I configured the network set-up... It was not that hard and was set-up in seconds. I used to be in a position to access the SmartHub and add Apps. Your selection of Apps isn't extraordinary, but they have the most favored ones -- Facebook, Netflix, YouTube, Skype, and Pandora.
Finally, I sync'd the keybord side from the remote to the TV. It was quite simple... I used to be worried based on a number of the reviews I just read, but it done the very first try. So, there you have it... I had been carried out with set-up and everything worked perfectly.
The only con this TV has is I really do see some of the black ghosting when there is a great deal of black on the screen... But this really didn't bother me, because it doesn't happen a lot where there are times high isn't ghosting in any respect. A lot of the time if you find a genuine picture on the watch's screen... The picture is simply amazing.
The real proof here's my partner... She was blown away with this tv and she's doesn't care about one of the electronics within our house... She said that it was totally definitely worth the money to purchase this TV. :)|
LED TV Review
Gorgeous tv!!
Best TV ever!!
Good Product
Stunning!
Excellent samsung and amazon combo!!!
Still understading about popular features of my new tv. Amazed with 3D and image quality. Liked to possess ultra slim and
thin frame. Seriously considered to get media extender like google tv, roku, boxer etc...finally made a decision to have a very smart tv. Awaiting talk to my relatives in India.
Some how my home theater just isn't giving audio for online streaming. Looking towards decrease my cable cost....more inputs later...
Samsung D8000 led tv

User having to go through everytime.
Very sharp image and flat screen
Excellent tv
Most Amazing Picture
GREAT TV
Awesome TV
Very nice television/switching center
Cons: Off axis viewing is a bit weak, but if you don't watch movies etc. in the side from the screen I would not think the average person is going to be bothered much.
Fabulous TV
Awesome T.V.
Great quality display
A 60" model could have been even nicer, and not in the current price. I chose Amazon due to their reputation, their One month return policy, free delivery and the realization they possess the lowest price. And I didn't have to haggle having a sale person to price match or why not be sold a prolonged warranty.
I purchased the Samsung BD-D6700 Blu-Ray player containing better reviews compared to BD-D5500. The combo is effective. The BD-6700 grunts when seeking, however it plays fine. The wireless setup is incredibly exactly like the TV.
SAMSUNG 55D8000 LED TV
Amazing Samsung UN55D8000 TV
TVs came a considerable ways since 06. My previous one would be a Panasonic 37" Plasma. It was excellent rolling around in its day though it weighed 100+ lbs and was extremely bulky. The bezel was 6"+ in the bottom and 2"+ throughout.
This TV is night and day better in every aspect. That's what you'll receive with technology as time progress. I was torn from a Plasma plus a LED. Plasma's generally a greater refresh rate with games and the like but at the expense of power. This LED uses $17 of electricity per year at 5 hours viewing per day!! That's amazing in my opinion as my plasma might use that up in 1-2 months. I'm anticipating my power company bill going down. I was also torn regarding the 3D aspect, but I'm glad that we went for this. With however, a couple of Benefits and drawbacks I've further down. Take these with a touch of suspicion. I'm a tech nerd but I'm certainly not a video or audiophile.
Pros:
The 3D is better than expected! Movies have become an immersive viewing experience. The picture quality and depth really puts you inside story.
No ghosting with games or movies. Huge relief for me personally because I basically bought this TV for anticipation in the new game releases this fall: Battlefield 3 and Gears of War 3 to the 360.
Internet capability rocks !. The most successful if you ask me may be the Pandora app. Youtube must be improved since the search functionality is tedious. For unkown reasons, it won't allow you to make use of the qwerty keyboard to type. You are able to use the arrow keys though and proceed to the letters this way.
HD pictures direct from my cable COAX is great.
The asthetics in the TV is unmatched from anything I have come across. It appears to be you're peering in a window on your own wall. It also weighs only 35 lbs. This is amazing considering its a 55".
Free 3d Bluray and Megamind value pack. This is icing around the cake. I didn't have to go out and purchase the bluray player and media to adopt benefit of my TVs capabilities along with.
Control the tv screen together with your PDA. Android and iOS have a Samsung app that permits you to control the television. Pretty cool. Now or perhaps your immediate future you are able to watch whatever picture is displaying on your TV along with your Samsung phone. This feature alone may help swing me to Android from the iPhone.
Watch your PC/NAS media assortment of movies/pictures/mp3s with the TV DLNA capability. Awesome feature. My GF just delivered from the trip and that we held a slideshow of her pictures from her laptop for family viewing while watching silver screen.
Cons:
Sound is a useful one however, not great. Get a soundbar or AVR to go with this beauty. If you're spending this sort of cash on a TV you must not come with an issue justifying the extra purchase.
Samsung TV apps. Most are useless. I hope they are available by helping cover their better ones sooner.
Awesome Picture
This TV kicks ass!!!
I was worried about the glossy screen reflecting the sunshine within my room - but I am happily surprised it is easy. I highly recommend this TV - and a large amount on Amazon.com|
Great picture and ok sound
The display quality of the TV is fantastic, however the sound might have been somewhat better. We've mine connected to my Sony 3d blu-ray player multichannel system, so the sound is actually good now.
Samsung UND8000 55" Smart TV
2011 Samsung 8000 3D LED HDTV
Set-up and net connection was easy, although I am not impressed with a lot of from the "Smart TV" content. The world wide web browser can not work with lots of of my personal favorite websites. The QWERTY keyboard is a touch difficult to use as well as the bluetooth pairing needed that the keyboard be held within 5-inches in the TV. This became not mentioned in the consumer manual.
Also, the code that might permit the TV off/on function with my A/V receiver remote can not be found. Samsung says it is the A/V manufacturer's problem, and they say it's Samsungs. Go figure.
colors pop
Awarded 4.5 - Excellent PQ but Microdimming needs to improve!
Now for the good stuff, PQ is as bright as you prefer even in a sunny room with windows or dimmer and that i have a preference for vibrant within my bright sunny room - nonetheless it carries a large adjustable range to fit your preferences and it's taken me of a week to dial-in my preferences and it's looking better every day it seems. With games I needed to create it to game mode for not observing any lag whilst in that mode.
In the sweet spot you rarely notice reflections even though its a glossy screen if you do not to utilise an off angle or screen goes totally black - 90 plus percent of the time reflections usually are not a concern unlike a plasma (was owned and hated for reflections/washout)which may be a twenty/four seven mirror with daytime washout whereas this has no problems staying bright and vibrant even a sunny room without seeing yourself within the panel.
Did an elementary calibration with a Disney Wow disk and remember that things are WoW on the Blu-Ray. Blu-Ray and HD broadcasts are stunning with one Caveat - if you're expecting a Kuro Esque or new Sharp Elite or Sony HX929 black background during black screen credits forgettaboutit! In the dark room I can tell some screen uniformity issues with edge bleed and clouds that is certainly disappointing - however, I never observed those artifacts during content display material particularly for example Tron Legacy 3D had deep blacks and was simply amazing - while 3D just isn't perfect yet We are finding some content being friggin awesome to see and that i like it and saw very little ghosting of last years model.
If your a stickler for the pure blackwhite streaming credits or perfect non-content uniformity inside a totally dark rooom with the lights out during the night and you've got surplus cash of burning then go for the HX929 Sony or Sharp Elite but again - I remind myself that those panels would cost me 2-3 times some tips i covered this Samsung and the 65 Sony isn't intended for 3-4 months and i also dont believe Vanns sells the Elite 70" to tradeup and that i dont think you've got return rights with Vanns otherwise I might think it over.
Overall, this TV kicks out fantastic PQ and asthetically is beautiful on/off nevertheless, you wont believe how small a 60" TV may be and soon you view this "picture window" model which is the reason I will understand Samsung making a 70-75 for 2012.
Sound is apparently fine considering its slimness but I have a very professional surround system and so its a location I cannot rate but I can't imagine anyone spending these funds for a home cinema and never having a audio system interfaced with it as thats the opposite half of BluRay folks.
I would rate this panel a 4.5 from 5 mainly because it fails to deliver with black screen uniformity in the evening inside a dark room with edge bleed and clouding however its not something I can tell during normal viewing of HD Source. Microdimming fails to get results of Sharp Elite and Sony HX929 local dimming full backlit where I'd award a 5 but at a significant cost increase obviously. My method to attend a year and rotate this TV to my other room and acquire a 70" Elite Gen2 panel by then a pricing by Sharp could be in a way that I end up getting two TV's for the price I'd pay for Gen1 Elite today. Patience is Bitter but it is Fruit is good!
Enjoy!

Wow! Amazing picture. Best i've ever seen.
Ive owned many HDTV's and also this one is certainly the top looking picture We have every seen. Lots of HDTV's I have to adjust picture and image settings before im completely satisfied. Not needed with this particular one, the image was perfect from the moment it absolutely was powered on.
The Smart TV or internet tv is amazing too, the very best apps and social media stuff can there be.
Wow, the 3D looks amazing, it truly rivals everything else you would see in the theatre. Its breathtaking.
I absolutely recommend this hdtv if you need the best home viewing experience available.
Lovely picture, amazing features, 3D

Amazing Beauty Samy UN55D8000
I had create a world wide web, it was breeze, never dropped internet connection, updated itself wonderful widgets. They have got all, you should not purchase the set top box or blue ray dvd player with wifi. Amazon instant is missing, but I hope they enter the long run. I just read some reviews about internet, browser and key board sluggish. But I never experienced this challenge. It really is you'd like I work on laptop. Only thing is that you should get used to the little quarty keyboard. one menu for online support. Seems like they're able to do remoting and debug your TV. One of many reviewer tried here. Unclear if every one of Support staff understands this. But nice feature.
It came with 2 3D glasses and charger. Tested 3D with samsung's build in widgets and library. WOw!!!..2D to 3D is great. Downloaded Yahoo widgets. I think all we have been missing is the 500GB disk for dvr/storage and inbuilt camera for video chat. This TV is really perfect. I am going to calibrate and post the outcome again. The lighted Samsung logo is indeed sophisticated. I like Samy. The sound at level 10 fills my children room. Those who complain about low sound should set to standard sound mode rather than movie and enable surround sound effect. I would suggest this TV to who's on fence.
Question about bezel: After i went along to Biggest score the Bezel was all chrome, nevertheless the one I acquired at home has little black border inside nearby the screen after which chrome bezel around it. Will there be any difference with UN55D8000Y and UN55D8000YFXZA?
Update 12/18: I saw a cost drop on Amazon yesterday evening and requested a cost adjustment online. They replied back with price adjustment and to my surprise they themselves found low cost from different vendor(Vann's). Thank you Amazon. They exceeded my expectations.
UN55D8000
STUNNING TV ! ! !
Picture clarity is definitely unbelievable! If only I needed bought it sooner.
I have been watching a number of blu ray movies about this TV that i'm absolutely
blown away. I am so thrilled that we're going to buy a great deal more
blu ray movies to observe for this THING! I am extremely satisfied with this TV purchase
along with the Samsung BDD6500 3D blu ray player, which is wonderful also.
Great TV, easy all of the way
Very satisfied
excellent product...
Best TV We've owned yet.
- Clear picture
- Easy to use Menus
- Ample connections
- Energy Savings
- 3D Mode up mix for 2D Programs
- Ultra transportable (I easily carried it in without any help, entirely box.)
Cons:
- Web Apps are slow to respond
- Remote must be pointed directly on the TV to operate. (Bluetooth remote you would think would work at any angle.)
Personally the tiny Cons I in the list above tend to be more annoying than not I'm not likely to subtract that in the overall experience with this TV, I enjoy everything it may do.
Playing my Xbox 360, PS3, even watching HD Cable shows about this tv are a very enjoyable experience.
3D mode about this TV using the glasses that accompany it's a very enjoyable experience. As with this review We've watched the following movies in 3D mode:
- Tron Legacy 3D
- Lion King 3D
- The way to Train your Dragon *2D Blueray up mix to 3D Mode*
I can honestly say set up show was not programed for 3D it lets you do show more depth and gives a deeper feel towards the show / movie.
Game play from 2D to 3D mode also has been a real enjoyable thing to have.
Assassins Creed Brotherhood in 2D to 3D mode may be awesome.
Pain in 2D to 3D and in many cases the full 3D modes tend to be extremely fun.
Even connecting my laptop via HDMI to this particular screen to look at Streaming HD Anime continues to be great.
Bleach in super sized HD is excellent.
WOW
Purchased from Amazon with Prime shipping, I was very pleased using the scheduling along with the method by which the product or service was delivered. It were only available in a delivery van with the package strapped in to the truck. I had been a little apprehensive about ordering something as fragile and expensive since this TV online, however the whole experience couldn't are actually better. Watch the prices closely since they often jump down or up by big money almost hourly. However, in the event you show some patience you will find a cost well below one of the big box retailers.
The UN55d8000 was a breeze to hookup to my other components, but take a look at your older stuff to make sure that there'll be enough available plugs on the back in the set. There are lots of HDMI inputs, but just one each component and composite. Definitely go the HDMI route anytime you can.
After 10 days I'm still testing all of the available features and everything works great. The only problem I have had may be the Smart TV Explore 3D App. Despite the fact that We've upgraded my internet speed I can't obtain a smooth upload playback with this feature. I am sure that it's a Comcast issue since when I take advantage of TestMySpeed.Com my numbers are over the place.
When ordered I knew that we can be set for a TV viewing treat with the features. But something that I was clueless that that I could do is watch pictures and videos from my two PCs attached to my wireless network. The darn things just arrived on my own listing of available inputs. Start shooting your digital pics in 16:9 format and they will completely complete the screen.
Even my wife, who did not begin to see the requirement for a new TV, and normally doesn't appreciate top notch electronics is not but nutrients to say of our new Samsung.
This is a great TV and Amazon is good spot to get it!

Very Happy
Review of 55" TV
AMAZING PICTURE!!
Fantastic picture
Excellent value
It is an excellent value! Picture is excellent, as they are the sound and features.|
great tv
Completely Satisfied
I am disappointed while using remote however. I was thinking the QWERTY remote would have been a cool idea but mine is generally a little slow to react i need to press the buttons quite difficult. A great way for this issue is to utilize Samsung's remote app for that iPhone and Droid. Other features that I've tried work really well and are not problematic to put together. Netflix movies stream just fine in the built-in wireless. To be sure with other people around the quality of sound. It's not the TV's forte but many owners have likely external sound systems anyway , nor let this deficiency downgrade the ability. A fantastic sound bar, probably any soundbar, will be a sufficient improvement inside audio.
I would love to note the outstanding service from the delivery company chosen by Amazon, Ceva Freight Management. They did an outstanding job and also moved in the delivery date to the next day I called and requested to reschedule. This triggered me having the TV over the week prior to scheduled in the online purchasing process. Everyone representing Ceva was very professional!
I would, and still have, recommend this TV with a friend.
Samsung un55d8000 Excellent Smart TV
Cons: sound is not the best available, but still decent.
JUST,GREAT
Good job Samsung!!
TV arrives with BENT PANEL. Replacement delivered promptly. Excellent image quality!
Update: The damaged monitor have been delivered with a Friday. Amazon did a superb job in handling this concern along the replacement delivered already on the following Monday (collecting the defect one as well). We are highly impressed with all the image quality, which 's the reason for my rating this TV with 5 stars. The look is perfectly sharp, with intense colors and excellent contrast, showing high brightness and deep blacks. Also, it shows notably less motion blur than a mature monitor We have. The 3D functionality is impressive and the included glasses work adequately. Somewhat disappointing will be the apps (applications) that are included with this system. The preinstalled apps in addition to people who are presently designed for download are not comparable in doing what you could have e.g. while on an iPhone regarding both quality and variety. For example, I have yet to figure out how you can key in text in to the search field from the YouTube application, as opposed to clicking letters around the displayed keyboard while using mouse pointer. However, this functionality isn't particularly crucial to me. What bothers me more is there appears to be no way to try out slides on a USB stick in random order. For Windows computers, Samsung provides a "PC Share Manager", however WiFi bandwith presently doesn't seem to assist Apple OS X.
Amazon shipping and value guarantee
1) Amazon
2) An authorized seller
3) An authorized seller, but "fulfilled" by Amazon
I called Amazon's "big ticket items team" to better see the differences. They were very helpful, and as I am aware it you'll find three main differences: delivery service, return policies, and price guarantee. Very important. To put it briefly, I made a decision to purchase from Amazon for comfort and acquire delivery service, return policy, and price guarantee, despite the fact that their price was a little more than a number of the organizations. Here's what happened.
The DELIVERY was good as other reviewers describe. I got an appointment to schedule delivery in a very four hour window (I do believe). Two guys brought it into my home, set up it and stand, and powered it down to make certain it isn't dead. I think quite simply "white glove service," whilst they didn't actually wear gloves, which will happen to be recommended when touching the delicate screen.
The RETURN POLICY is apparently much better than most organizations, although I didnrrrt return my TV, so can't say how which may go. Some others simply don't accept returns in any respect, get the job done unit is defective, or charge re-stocking fees. I would browse the terms carefully before choosing.
PRICE GUARANTEE. About per week after I bought my TV, Amazon's price came by $125. I called them and requested a credit, that they can issued immediately. This may be the first-time I've ever received a deduction credit. There are several restrictions/limitations, and i believe this guarantee only pertains to TVs (read the small print), nonetheless it worked for me personally.
Amazing pic and 3D quality
Very good TV
I tweaked a few of the settings from what a few of the other folks commented about and i also haven't any bad pixels or bleeding. the remote is fine however, not great. I will be intending on finding a universal remote. The first setup was pretty easy just followed the prompts. Made a handful of mistakes at first but took about 5 minutes in most.
Overall very happy with the purchase. I paid $2100.00 and feel i acquired a good deal.
Fabulous (WOW) TV!!
Back on the TV, the image quality is great i have it wall mounted in a room with plenty of glass windows by the pool. The TV has established several comments (like WOW) from neighbors and direct TV service man. It's definitely a Wow TV. Don't watch 3D...so no comment.|
Excellant Product. Exceeds all of my expectations.
Awesome picture with stunning design...
Excellent let-it TV !!!!
Great LED TV, strongly recommended
Great product - UN55D8000
I use to possess a philips TV, I realize, not the top on the market nevertheless the change was something more important, things are all wonderful
Don hessitate to ge it, NO MIND over the bad reviews.
I'm loving it!

So far, so excellent...
3D is different if you notice it from a blue-ray or TV self 3D (obviously better on blue-ray) and don't expect to visit a perfect 3D image using 2D-3D function.
Thin, all to easy to set up, works great with Samsung blue-ray player and 5.1 system. For unknown reasons, I used to be not able to remove audio from TV to home theater system (the simple truth is I did not paid ti enough time searching why)
samsung un46d8000
Simply Amazing
I would have been a bit worried ordering a big TV online, though the delivery crew from Pilot were great. Granted, we were holding an hour past my delivery window however they were very professional after they arrived. Unboxed, installed the stand and waited will ensure the picture was perfect.|
Exceptional TV!!!!
My previous TV was obviously a Samsung DLP from 2004 plus it had a good HD picture, but this one blows out with the water!!! Blu Rays (employing a Samsung 3D blu ray player) are fantastic! The Blu Ray from the 1977 Alien movie almost appears to be it turned out recently made! Even you should definitely in 3D, the pictures almost jump of the screen and they are vibrant.
My only con is I would have like an additional HDMI (it has 4, but I might have used 5).
Amazing Picture and TV Design
Pretty Pretty Good
Awesome!!
Works great and looks great
Excellent TV, not soo much the remote along with the apps.
It arrived an ideal size box (54" l 30.5" h 7,5" d) for a 46" TV, it was the initial box, within that box was the genuine box with the TV (52" h 29" l 6" d ).
So i opened this area and in it had been:
- Samsung UN46D8000 TV
- 4 legs silver stand and screws
- Two side Qwerty TV remote
- A bit box with Two couple of 3d rechargable glasses, with two microusb cable to recharge and two cleaning cloths.
- An extremely short product manual and quick start guide.
- A large cleaning cloths for the tv
- An electrical cord
I checked the VESA compatible size because of it, and is also 400X400, it does not in concert with my previous STC Space Saver LCD Mount, 20"-40" Screen Size Difficulty, but checking the max weight that support this wallmount it is 55 lbs the UN46D8000 only weights 27.3 lbs and so i thought we would choose the VideoSecu Universal VESA Adapter Plate LED LCD Plasma television Wall Mount Bracket Extender MLEB 1UU for just 15$. Good deal, a possible problem would be that the adapter doesn't feature the M5 screws so bear in mind.
First impresion
When initially when i first plug the television it absolutely was amazing, the shades are very brigth, and the backlight is very strong. when the TV is powered down you can notice that the screen is really a deep black color and also a little glossy, you can't almost spot the bezel beacuse can be so thin, however the silver color on it can be a detail that make it's design so elegant and minimalist, the samsung logo at the bottom features a white colored led backlight and it is a bit off of the bezel some people doesn't as it in the beginning, just like me, but if you notice directly it's different it adds the samsung quality seal to their "masterpiece".
I started up the tv screen and paired qwerty the remote (it is a easy process once your read the instructions inside box) hooked up to wifi rigth away, it did start to receive updates for a long time an then. I began surfing online, this experience would have been a little dissapointing because i desired to view as an example youtube along with other flash rich content websites, YES the tv can load it but isn't fluid and also the explorer frezzes often times so that you simply have to wait or shut off the tv screen. The remote is fairly but is anoying there's only backlight on the tv remote side, the qwerty side doesn't, so when you use it on the explorer it not only a fluid experience too. Then i begun to watch standar definiton TV and without doubt, it had been a jump to HD in comparison to my old LCD LN32 samsung TV you'll be able to see the diference sticking with the same signal so imagine HD content.
Space Saver Flat Screen TV Wall Mount Bracket, Tilt Mount, 20 to 40-Inch ScreensVideoSecu Universal VESA Adapter Plate LED LCD Plasma television Wall Mount Bracket Extender MLEB 1UU.
After 4 weeks with my new TV im penning this review
I contain it conected to my xbox, my pc with bluray player.
First: the design is very useful, it is beautiful and lightweight
The image: excellent is the foremost of it's kind, you can view real HD, its a lot better than the fact, hehe, you can configure lots of things to cause you to happy with the picture, at the beggining you'll be able to notice some glare inside corners along with the borders but not until the television is perhaps all black, when you're playing a motion picture or watching anything it isn't really a problem i didn't noticed any ghosting.
Remote:
It do it's job is confortable and respond so well, is simple to pair and i only achieved it a couple of times.
Is anoying that there are only backlight about the tv remote side, the qwerty side doesn't need, you will need to position the side in the remote you are using facing as much as control the television, the qwerty keyboard is not so fluid and also the trackpad too, it's not a universal remote which means you can't control whatever else compared to TV.
3D:
The 3D experience is excellent, i saw some bluray 3d movies and it is a lot better than navigate to the movie theatre, you can see the stuff poping over display. The 2d to 3d function is superb, you can observe some deep at the borders, but just isn't similar to 3d content. I liked a whole lot playing dirt3 with my xbox wheel and also the 2d to 3d functiong it adds reality for the game.
3D glasses:
They are confortable and light-weight, it every day life is great, they seem fragile.
Sound:
It is excellent the speakers are facing back and down however it sounds great
Gaming:
It adds lag towards the signal, plus HDMI lag is something to get noticable. This will depend of one's skill level with the game.
Conectivity:
A lot of HDMI ports, audio out, VGA,usb and several rare conectors for RCA and component wires. It support analog and digital broadcast TV. Yo cant control the amount of volume at the audio out, it's fixed, you simply can't shut it down through the TV and still have to control it with another equipment, home teather etc...
The DLNA or network sharing it amazing you are able to grab a youtube video on your pc having a right click experience my tv
an then your tv play it at this time. Or perhaps you cant see a tv video menu to see the music activity photos and video of one's computer all over wifi.
You can plug a usb stick and play music pictures and mp4 mkv divx videos while others as well as strem all this.
Web browser:
I a good browser for a tv, don't spect your personal computer experience nevertheless, you can visit all non-heavy websites without problems, just have plenty of patience with heavier pages.
Applications:
They are not so great, the are several applications, and zip to highligth. The search application is great, youtube is great.
Social tv:
It's verygood it is possible to get more twitter satuts and chat with gtalk without stop viewing tv. The notifications are not so good these are a little messy.
Summary
Excellent TV you simply can't go wrong with samsung design, quality and image. The applications must improve themselfs, along with the remote is not so great, internet browser decent...
The TV is amazing design image HD 3D friends and family are likely to say woah whenever you show it.
Awesome
No Image Bleeding!
Samsung UN55D8000
Setup would have been a breeze, taking under A half-hour from delivery to viewing television. The directions are really easy to follow, and never need a technology degree to accomplish.
The picture on this television is actually put, the best That i've ever seen on any setup ever. It is crystal clear, and all sorts of the colours are true. Cab to tailgate it's also among the thinnest televisions available.
I have this unit positiioned in a room that gets throughout the day sun, there aren't difficulty with glare in any respect. The most effective top features of this setup would be that the bezel about the television can be so small, the screen itself looks like it's to the edge whenever your watching it. It is a fantastic aspect from the television.
Other reviewers mentioned the number of years between starting the tv inside them for hours the picture come up. If it's six seconds, this is the longest I have had to wait.
It's been a few months now where there are nevertheless no issues to report. The telly is constantly meet, and exceed my expectations. My family and i carry on being thrilled while using purchase.
Great TV, fast shipping, competitive price
Can't imagine replacing this within a few years.
Smart Hub is interesting, but I don't utilize it much. Nearly all of just what it does, is duplicated by other media devices I already own.
- It may be slow
- Netflix App isn't as good since the Apple TV
- Can't figure out how to go forward inside the "Explore 3D" app. It only skips Half a minute and then has to buffer the recording again.
3D is a lot more compelling than expected, but I still can't imagine watching a full movie. It's ideal for demos though. There's also a lot of content around the "Explore 3D" app for the Smart Hub.
Streaming from Netflix HD or Apple TV can be displayed pretty pixelated where it's fine on my 40" Samsung within the bedroom.
Haven't noticed any screen uniformity issues yet, but I will update basically do.
I do notice something I do believe is named "ghosting" with some images. Mostly while i am watching sports highlights in HD. I see a bit of a picture around the fast paced person. I hope which makes sense.
I'll come back an update this later since i have only have had the set for every week. To date it is exactly what I needed. I have wanted this TV since I had been in Fry's and saw an exhibit. It had been so not the same as other models that we saw. Pretty pleased with the purchase.
Work of art even if TV is off!
I bought this 8000 series LED to replace my 8500 series LCD from two years ago and possess no regrets in addition to the picture received from my Mac Mini to this. The resolution for your 46" LCD looked more neat and smoother than this 8000 series 55" when plugged into my Mac Mini but not a real complaint since it's practically a similar resolution nevertheless its just wanting to stretch it out fully 55" so that it looks a little grainy even at full HD resolution. Blu-ray and also other media looks amazing! 3D wise...well, I was expecting more however it was the top searching of all the so-called other 3D TVs available at this time.
This thing has Too many FEATURES! Netflix, Pandora, BBC News, and misc other apps! I can use my ipod itouch and downloaded app to manipulate TV as well as many features. Wireless internal. 2 rechargeable active shutter glasses packaged within the box. I like it is super thin as well as the extra little Samsung logo that lights up on the bottom makes this TV a bit of art to merely admire! Everyone containing seen this TV in my place is jealous and wants to buy one! You gotta match it up with 8000 series towards the rest of Samsung's line...it will be love in the beginning sight!
Although a little costly in comparison to other brands, I've no regrets staying with Samsung (especially this 8000 series). Shopped around for months to see if I can have this model cheaper but Amazon.com was the least expensive, got the zero APR financing so I weren't required to link my cash and I could take my sweet time and energy to pay for it without worries of great interest, didn't have to buy tax or shipping (they bring the television in and unpack in your case too if you'd like), and so they included the Shrek/Megamind 3D basic starter kit and 3D Blu-ray!
Overall, NO REGRETS and LOVE my new TV!!! Would obtain Amazon.com again!
I'm in love with my new set
I feel that I paid a much more then fair price for that set. I checked prices everywhere as well as physical stores making use of their special sales. I purchase several things on Amazon and possess never been unhappy with the service or product.
The image quality is exceptional and i also don/t need it connected to my Digital cable box yet. That comes in the near future from Time Warner. The quality of sound from the set is adequate and i also don't think Let me put money into surround sound yet. I love abdominal muscles slim frame. The picture looks like an entire bleed print. I recommend this set, the shipper, the complete experience. I was somewhat concerned reading other reviews regarding the shipper but I had no problems. I can see that my better half will be a fresh TV bump on a log. We weren't big TV watchers however i see how which will change. Movie and popcorn anyone?
We are in possession of had our TV per week and Time Warner sent us our HD Cable Box. I thought the image was awesome before?? My husband started in, I fired up the set and that he sat with his mouth open speechless. This is our first knowledge about a designated screen, LCD set and that we are speechless. We are receiving some trouble pairing our remote and can make advise of others and get it done more detailed the television. My only complaint if there is one is we require a better user help guide get us through every one of the settings. We have never had time and energy to try out the 3D glasses up to now but hopefully with one extra day off we are able to provide a whirl.
Samsung, you did it. We have not experienced the halo impact on our set. The colors are bright, the image quality is impressive and as well am i allowed to say.
Samsung UN55D8000 55-Inch 1080p 240Hz 3D LED HDTV (Silver)
woweee Think that I'm on the movies
I am delighted while using picture and sound. It's not connected to my surround sound yet but the sound is okay out of the box therefore i believe it's going to be great once to make sure installed.
I have never used another features yet such as internet and 3D so I can't touch upon that aspect.
I am 100% satisfied
The best LED 3D tv undoubtedly!!!! INCREDIBLE quality!
Incredible TV!!!
After we got it the retail price dropped on Amazon i convey a price match request which was declined (for stupid reasons I won't enter). One call to Amazon customer service i was quickly credited with the difference, however the price had changed (AGAIN!!). They set it up the retail price match on my own original request which took it as a result of $1908. A+ for your.
