The Best Samsung UN46D8000 46-Inch 1080p 240Hz 3D LED HDTV (Silver) Review
Every bit just like I expected
Over the last 5 years, I have been by using a 58" Panasonic Plasma TV. Not a bad TV, and not the highest either. It was just 1080i, it got hot pretty fast (which made the room hot and the air condition kick on too often), as well as the dimensions were weird (I viewed entertainment centers which should fit a 60" TV, however the TV still wouldn't fit.). I felt an upgrade is at order.
I'll need to admit, purchasing a TV was pretty fun. A lots of work though. The research was overwhelming occasionally. Websites upon websites, magazines, books, different people's inputs, salesmen marketing you various things determined by which store you went to, etc. I narrowed it into one of the Sony HDTVs or even a Samsung C or D series. After narrowing it as a result of those 2 brands, it turned out a little easier. I visited about 4 different Fry's Electronics and 7 different Best Buys to check it in several situations. After that, it dropped for the UN55D8000 (boy, did I memorize those numbers). To choose easier, I had been looking on Amazon, and also to my amazement, that they it for $500 less which everybody else, plus free shipping. Score!
With the free postage, it always needs a little longer. I would say, at the time an order was placed, until it got to my door, it took about 1.5 weeks. It came delivered at home Direct, USA together no problems with delivery. They would create the tv screen, however i said excitedly not to, since my entertainment center hadn't are available in yet. I opened this area, position the TV over a soft cloth (our bed's comforter) and installed the stand. Eight screws, easy. I connected the Directv receiver along with a PS3. There are some settings you'll emerge a symptom if the TV turns on. Takes about 2 minutes, literally. From then on, the enjoyment begins! Going from 1080i to 1080p has become a difference! I had a recording of Chuck for the DVR and yes it almost looked live. I also watched some regular satellite programming and also the non-HD channels looked amazing.
After wiping the drool up and running, I wanted to look into the 3D part of the TV. I popped inside free copy of Shrek the next in the PS3, place on the glasses and waited to be amazed. Aside from your amazing colors, it looked just like 2D! WTH?! Then, Going reading somewhere the PS3 does indeed play 3D movies, But an upgrade. I waited about 30 minutes for that upgrade to end. And then, loaded the dvd again, high was the movie achievable funky 3D image. Hey wait, I have 3D glasses on, the reason I see that. Oh, oops. Batteries need to be positioned in the glasses. Finally! The 3D image was awesome! Seriously, viewing television in 3D is amazing. I can't wait `til there's more media in 3D. As it stands right now, the one movies in 3D may be documentaries or cartoons, except for several regular movies (i.e. Resident Evil, Intensify 3, etc.)
I just arrange it yesterday evening, therefore i can't supply you with a good deal more details. But, even when Used to have an overabundance of time, I don't think I can provde the detailed specs which you might be searching for. I'm no expert on home theater. Here's an introduction to positives and negatives:
PROS:
* The possible lack of a more impressive bezel really does really make a difference. Not only aesthetically, in relation to functionality, too (better 3D viewing. It appears to be you are looking thru a window.).
* Images are spectacular. Whether it be regular programming, HDTV programming, or Blu-Ray.
* Price on Amazon was great!
* Delivery was pain-free.
* Lots of settings options, in order to build the TV for a preference and the viewing scenario (i.e. movie, standard, etc.)
* 3D movie watching is stunning! I just wish Panasonic was without exclusive rights on Avatar.
CONS:
* SmartTV can be a cool feature. But, not just a necessity. I really doubt that I'll Facebook or Tweet from the TV.
* Audio isn't great, however it is adequate. I wasn't really expecting much from a flat screen TV.
* Didn't have the touch-screen remote as was should be true initially of the year.
* Must mail within the vouchers (or register online) to acheive the 3D glasses. True, you do obtain a 3D starter kit using this type of TV, which includes the glasses, but those glasses certainly are a little different and use batteries. Also, you need to mail out to get the free copy of Shrek Forever and Megamind. I really shouldn't complain, though, as these have the freedom.
* Requires a more detailed manual regarding how to use most in the features. The manual it arrives with is thick, yet it's just because it is the same task in various languages.

UPDATE: After messing around using the TV a tad bit more last week, I remarked that the top of the the screen had some light flickering (around the location where the bezel meets the screen and yes it involved 1/16" tall and went almost over the whole TV. I'm hoping it is not the "edge lighting.") It only did this on some channels on Directv. Most channels were fine and Blu-Ray was fine. I'm thinking it's either the receiver or possibly the cheap HDMI cable. I use a Monster M1000 series cable to arrive in a few days, so I'll switch it and update.
Also, there is talk across online about people experiencing difficulity pairing the remote. I had zero problem and did it about 5 feet outside the TV.
One very last thing, among the glasses in the free 3D kit didn't seem to work. I replaced batteries and zilch. Then, the subsequent morning, I tried it again, but now turning off of the bluetooth during my phone, and yes it worked. Whether this had an impact on it, I'm not sure. But, just thought I'd throw that on the market.
BTW, this weekend, I watched Tangled in 3D and played MLB2K11 about the PS3...... WOW! I'll must admit, I liked 3D, however i think it is merely a novelty. Absolutely no way. 3D is really a lot different now than once we had those blue and red glasses. It changes the full experience.
UPDATE #2: Didn't have to do almost anything to receive the line gone. It just went away some day.
Also, I finally got the 3D glasses in the voucher that's inside the TV. Unfortunately, they are the 3300s and never the 3700s which i kept seeing from people at CES. I won't knock the rating down, but I am somewhat disappointed how the glasses and the remote that were advertised earlier that year didn't come with the device, nor even thru mail. Also, the charger for that glasses is $199! No, thanks. I'll just charge it while using the USB cable.
Not quite ready for prime time, in a few respects
Samsung has incorporated an attribute called Smart Hub within their 'Smart TV'. This is a portal containing Netflix, Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook, Pandora, a web browser, and several games and applications which can be either free or taken care of. The feature is great and I look forward to seeing it develop. You'll want to register your TV and create a merchant account, much like an Apple ID, simply uses purchase the apps. You would think you can try this from your TV, however you can't; you need to use the internet here to accomplish this. Not a big deal, nonetheless it was confusing. The Samsung website is not ready for prime time either. The discussion board just isn't yet running. One nice thing is the Live Help, which works VERY well. However, I had been not able to have the degree of help I desired.
Okay, enough while using gripes. This can be one fine TV. It's very light, features a narrow profile and carries a nice, chrome-plated stand that lets you to rotate the tv screen about 30 degrees in either direction. A huge factor personally was the thin bezel, which allowed me to adjust to a 46" set into my 43" wide cabinet. The TV has a lot of inputs, including some strange connectors that allow you to in order to connect component and composite video. I really do have a very non-HDMI DVD which uses the component connectors, plus it worked well. The setup in the TV is just not difficult if you have some exposure to hookups, and that i could get all of the components and my receiver in short order. Because i stated previously, I'm not a huge fan with the model of the remote, and I am wanting to duplicate the majority of the functionality inside my Harmony universal remote.
One thing Used to do was get together my TV to my iMac showing photos to my photo club. I became not expecting the standard to become better than my 27" iMac, nonetheless it was Much better. The color was most basic in Movie mode, Warm 1 setting. The sharpness was uncanny. I saw no obtrusive artifacts on screen and was pleased as punch in the jaw-dropping quality of my photo images (therefore were the club members). The TV is connected to our UVERSE system, as well as the HD quality is superb. I've no measurement or calibration tools, however i possess a fine eye for photography. The color balance, contrast, and sharpness are perfect. Update 6/8/2011
Finally received my 3d glasses from your 'Samsung Fulfillment Center'. They're active-shutter type glasses and are available with standard USB cords to charge them. You can plug the cords in the back from the set and also the glasses will recharge once the set is ON. We watched our first 3D movie together the other day. The 3d effect was excellent and i also often see no artifacts. The glasses fit over my lenses and were comfortable. They first turn on automatically when they sense a 3d broadcast, which is nice.
The chunky remote usually just sits waiting for use, because i have programmed a Harmony Universal remote to allow for me to use SmartHub and control a lot of the functions. SmartHub remains evolving there are numerous update messages that indicate it can be constantly upgraded. I actually do take pleasure in the Vimeo and Vudu sites, as well as Netflix. The gamed, browser and also other 'apps' are certainly not attractive to me yet.
I still laud the image quality about this set. I cannot say it is advisable than a Sony or Panasonic or another brand, however i have no reason to appear further. I'm able to only describe the HD quality as 'rich' and packed with tonality. The shadow detail amazes me, and also the blacks are truly black. I never obtain the the picture to become overly contrasty or saturated. I also find pointless to fiddle using the controls, when they are set. Update 11/18/11
After months of use, I still like this TV. Samsung, it seems, is trying to get like Apple and in many cases sent us a survey ploying me with queries about why I liked Apple computers, iPads, iPods, etc. I can see these are looking to formulate a strategy. I want to claim that SmartHub is the means of giving TV users an 'app' experience. It's got fallen short IMHO. The apps they have are rather cheesy and I'd rather readily iPad before the TV, than switch the signal from Smarthub and shut off the programming. Another failing, they do not provide you with access to Amazon streaming for movies (they used to, but not inside the 2011 TVs). Why? AppleTV is an excellent accessory for Netflix, Youtube, and a lot of more features and contains a far better interface. The thing I prefer about SmartHub could be the 'Explore 3D' feature containing several creative 3D features on it. While using current dearth of 3D source material on DVD, it's nice to possess a handy location to feel it and show it to friends. You ought to really make sure that out.
One negative on this TV, the viewing angle. Should you be off-axis, the image washes out and also you lose the experience of seeing really deep blacks.

There a variety of ports in back and you need to have plenty to acquire your entire stuff connected. If you actually want to do it right, just run everything by having a receiver and run one hdmi cable towards the tv. If you decide to run multiple cables, you may also have different settings for each and every port. If you'd prefer your TV to pop, but would like your movies to look more cinema-like, you can do that too.
Hanging the d8000 about the wall wasn't too difficult. I did it myself, but I'd suggest a partner. I made use of a slim wall mount that tilts also it looks great.
EDIT UPDATE: Just am FYI, the flashlighting concern is becoming easier to recognize as time rolls on. Maybe I'm just seeing a great deal of dark materials, however the screen is flashlighting like crazy.
Great TV, really worth the price.
I often hear some complaints in regards to the companies employed to ship the TVs. I have to say i had created a great experience. The delivery appeared in the first hour of my delivery appointment window. The lamp of the tv was a little damaged in the bottom corner but not worry about.my TV was brought inside i inspected it and wow is this thing a work of art. even the delivery guys were impressed, they hadn't seen the modern model yet. The television was obviously a little cold from being held in the warehouse and on the18 wheeler i really assembled everything and set up all my extras (home theatre, xbox 360 console, ps3, cable box etc) however i didn't plug the power set for about 2 hours to allow the television warm-up and prevent injury to it. As i turned it on i had been greeted having an quick and easy to check out setup with the tv and wireless network.
I have read one poor writeup on this tv stating the led backlight was visible fromt the perimeters i ought to disagree. i cannot understand the backlight source at all. this can be certainly the most effective looking tv on the market. I really do however wish it had full array led backlighting as opposed to the dynamic edge.
my only complaint (when you can even refer to it as that) could be the remote. it is a bit chunky because of the full qwerty for the back i havent had time to have the qwerty side to sync with my tv yet it keeps saying failure.. i would have liked to view the touchscreen display remote that has been incorporated with the 9000 series before. however around the grand scale this is minor. We have only had this tv to get a short period of time however i would suggest this tv if it is with your budget.
With beautiful picture, 3D, lots of HDMI slots, USB, WIFI and also the samsung SmartTV this is the great option for someone interested in a higher end LED-LCD
Best TV
The TV were only available in and Wow is all I can say.. Now I have seen the posts on Samsung's Website and that really failed to deter me as I have been buying Samsung TV's and monitors for many years rather than once did I own a problem.
The colors and dark levels are fantastic. The 3D effects are so cool company this can be my first 3D TV, I have experienced 3D in concert halls nevertheless its so much better coming to home. The added applications are cool as well as the added NAS support is wonderful. I use a Synology NAS as soon as I plugged it to the network it detected my NAS and listed becoming Synology. Only draw back using the DLNA is that there's no graphic art or pictures from the Movies though the titles show and thats fine. (There might be hack because of this and definately will research)
Of course Amazon delivered the television with in the hours when i requested and the box is at a fit condition. Amazon rocks.
Pros: The colors and dark levels, Normal HD programs are so crisp and clear it almost hurts my eye's, The small bezel makes this TV pop on my small wall. (Note Painted my wall flat black current small bezel all this most looks like its a window), A lot of more to list out..
Cons: The remote when i wanted the IPHONE looking remote and the keyboard is actually small , I've big fingers. Also the Power plug was on the other hand.. Meaning the HDMI, Optical and USB plugs are saved to back right side and also the power plug is about the back left side if facing the TV. Also the electricity cord is really short.
But despite these complaints I really like this TV and you will be enjoying it for several years.. This TV gets to be a five star rating from me.

Fantastic Television with Few Caveats
Netflix just isn't exactly what it was once; the service seems to have only older movies and never the 'just released' films. This, in addition to nearly intolerable rebuffering pauses and an annoying black flash blip which happens every 3 mins or so makes me wonder if Netflix is absolutely really worth subscription fee anymore. I ordered a whole new Apple Airport Extreme to upgrade towards the new dual band technology i really am hoping until this fixes this rebuffering and give up problems otherwise i am not suggesting that we go after dark free trial of Netflix. Blu-rays and DVDs look great about this TV played on my own new Samsung BD-D5500. The TV automatically connects to the Blu-Ray and switches ports whenever you turn it on. Cool.
You need to enjoy the settings around the TV when you know very well what you want in terms of picture and sound. I was very impressed while using built-in sound of the TV, clearly upgraded over previous models, however i grabbed a sound Y-cable and connected the tv screen right to my stereo receiver's tape deck 'in' port and now when I activate the receiver's 'Tape' button, I recieve really clear stereo sound to go with my amazing picture. Of course this system supports multichannel 5.1 That's not me missing it. The 3D popular features of this TV are mind-blowing but it does make your wheels spin before long; you can sense the flicker in the battery powered glasses. Don't assume all 3D discs are equal, some can be a let-down and despite the hype, you likely won't wind up watching 3D programming usually. The 3D basic starter kit incorporates 2 set of two glasses and there's a coupon to acquire two more pair totally free by mail so no less than it isn't too costly for anyone to have the taste of 3D whenever they want it. The 2D picture though is beyond incredible. The bezel is unbelievably thin along with the TV itself is very thin and relatively lightweight. 2-D Picture Quality (HD DirectTV)
Amazing picture. My HD signal appears to be BluRay with this tv. If I needed to say something negative it will be which you almost must much detail. You can in fact see the pits inside a male actor's face and you'll see the caked on makeup with the weather lady. I watched a movie one other night and i also found myself going through the props to get together any details a producer originally wouldn't want me to determine because they would break the suspension of disbelief. I could have sworn I saw a movie script around the desk with the vatican. I remember when HD 1080 i and p first became available. I was required to accommodate the overwhelming realism. You'll must adjust again because of these new TV's that operate at 240hz and also have amazing color and motion flow.
Sound
Suprisingly good. On par with my previous Sony TV.
Weight
Awesome! No have to team carry this TV. Don't need to panic about the studs supporting too much weight.
Stand
A little for no more side (material wise) but given how light the tv screen is I suppose they did not need to use metal.
Control
Well, I use a Logitech controller. The original controller is fairly funny. I contains the basic remotes on one side along with a full keyboard on the other instrument. I'm sure your children will require benefit from the world wide web capability however i have my IPAD2 to the. Internet over a TV which sits over the room generally is a little strange for me personally.

3-D Picture Quality (Direct TV 3D downloads and stations)
Amazing. On par with Regal and AMC 3-D movies. My wife yells at me for watching the downloadable nature demonstrates DirectTV offers in 3-D. If you do not possess DirectTV you will probably find yourself using a deficiency of 3-D content until more movies are for sale to puchase in 3-D. I understand the coax companies within my area don't offer 3-D. However, I do believe this TV will satisfy for one more A few years until 3-D glasses free is prepared and affordable.

Positive
Amazing image quality. Color reproduction is fantastic. Black and shadow areas are superb.
Negative
Almost too real. My son actually reaches for the TV to experience while using Cars as you're watching Cars. Hollywood movies usually are not shot with TV's such as this in mind. You might find yourself seeing a lot of the movie set or seeing each and every action with the actor. This is going to take some adjusting. As these TV's are more main stream you will see movies pay greater focus on make-up, props and actor motions (or inconsistent motions).|
Great TV
Once my stand arrived (also purchased on amazon.com), I started to put together the tv screen. Whenever you place the batteries, turn on the TV. Flip the remote to laptop keyboards side and will also let you know that you have to pair the remote. You should do this without delay to stop any issues. I'd a lot of issues pairing the remote but reading the reviews on here, specifically the one who posted a way to reset the remote (thanks for that!), I finally figured it out. You should get about 6 inches away from the bottom RIGHT corner from the TV. Making certain the tv screen is ON and 6 inches outside the bottom RIGHT corner with the TV, press and hold TAB+SYM for approximately 2 seconds. The screen for the remote will say "Pairing" and may take a few moments to pair. Get it done further than 6 inches away and you might run into some issues.
Once you've got paired the remote, connect your TV online by using the option within the Menu. I've got a wireless router therefore the TV picked up my internet and linked with not an issue. Once you are coupled to the internet, immediately improve your TVs software. Unless you, you might come across some problems. Netflix kept saying it couldn't hook up to the internet only I checked the Network status through the TV and it said I became connected (I possibly could also hook up with other apps that used the web). As soon as I updated the software program about the TV, it worked perfectly. The image looks great, although I just noticed a short while ago a white dot looking thing on the bottom right corner. Other reviews discussed needing to mail in vouchers from your 3D kit. I received my kit and it included the two 3D glasses, Shrek 1-4, and Megamind 3D. There was clearly no voucher for Shrek or anything, everything what food was in the box. I've watched Shrek 1-2 (3D) and Megamind 3D thus far as well as the 3D was pretty cool. It is not like about the big screens where it happens at you but it is still a cool thing to show. There exists definitely great potential though. Assuming they still do further research (and gain better technology), provide the 3D technology many years and it will be awesome. The television also is sold with two 3D glasses. I have never checked them out yet but it appears it's rechargeable through USB.

Features - Many to try out with (While time-consuming, I favor messing around with assorted features)
Edgeless screen - I thought it was fantastic.
Cons:
Audio - Isn't great but what can you really expect from your flatscreen
Manual - Could be a little more informational. It doesn't explain the whole process of pairing as well as it should.
Screen - Is glossy and gets dirty with fingerprints (while setting the tv screen up, I put some of my fingerprints around the TV from holding it). As it is glossy, the television might not exactly look extraordinary in case you have light punching the TV. My family area is dark because I like my batcave to get dark and so i have no light issues.
Remote - There's a little bit of lag time nevertheless it wasn't that noticeable in my experience. The pairing process is a pain.
WOW, I'm hooked
I wanted a 65" LED TV and desired to wait until next year following your house was finished, but keeping the grand daughters over changed my thoughts since our 26" would be a little too small on their behalf.
I chose to purchase the 55" UN55D8000 after seeing it at Paul's TV outside and researching it for any week.
We received the free Shrek and Megamind package first. The shipping company called several days as soon as the order was placed to plan a time and date for delivery. Up to now so competent.
The TV came in in regards to a week. They carry it set for you and hook it up to ascertain if it works, along with hook up any video source.

Amazon delivered another Shrek/Megamind BD/3D glass kit and that i received it in a week! Which was fast.
We watched a 3D movie yesterday evening, Resident Evil, Afterlife. The film didn't (pop) out for people. Cleaning it once a to alter it in the movie but my lady planned to watch the film, i really waited till it turned out over.
After fiddling with all the remote (arrive at that later) I ran across the 3D settings and adjusted the depth and POW, there it absolutely was, in front of me, 3D because it should be. I am calling the recent line to obtain a copy as someone mentioned because I favor reading about the many various settings.
I did pick the 3D Blu Ray player/7.1 sound system kit. It came a few days prior to the TV did, i really surely could set it up prior. All I need to say is its ok, much like me an audiophile, its as good as can be expected from a kit, but it sets up fast which is probably adequate for most people.
I am going to use this system inside bedroom following your residence is remodeled and achieving a 65" model, hopefully a Samsung again, as the glasses will be compatible and possibly use another sound system, possibly with my own, personal stereo speakers. 55" is fine for some personally, however i think a 65 incher is a blast inside the living room.
Just to make sure that the remote setup in doing what everyone mentioned, mine didn't setup from 10 feet away, I attempted several times until I remembered the instructions telling be several feet away, just like magic it worked, so look at instructions people.. In reality to accomplish this you must receive the remote working one which just access the e-structions on the tv screen.
I have never seen any stray light or ghosting or anything out of your norm, but will be searching for anything strange.
The sound in the internal speakers is okay for viewing television. Much better than the rear projection Sony I bought 20 years ago!
Several reasons I aquired a LED TV was who's doesn't get as hot as a plasma, it weighs less and will not obtain the burn-in. Maybe a number of the older LCD screens weren't pretty much as good but so far this TV is going to make me fat, cause I'm going to watch more TV and get less exercise!
Now I'm on a pursuit to find 3D Blu Ray movies.

After watching several 3D movies, I have arrived at concluding the 3D isn't as deep as what you see for the big screen. Just a little disappointing in my opinion however a great picture. We are all experiencing and enjoying the large screen and 3D effects.
BTW, Also i own the 3d system sold 15 years ago. Using the supplied glasses and convertor box it isn't really bad apart from the flicker with a CRT TV. I tried the previous 3D DVD's hoping that something would work but it didn't. Maybe someday I can design a convertor that will cause them to become work with the newest LCD.

9. I didn't play with the apps much. At first loading the net browser ended in a blue screen flickering for some seconds following with the 'loading' icon, and then the sequence repeated many times. Overall, I came across the amount of Content in the Smart Hub a lttle bit overwhelming. The actual version in the Megamind 3D Starter Kit (Samsung SSG-P3100M Megamind 3D Starter Kit - Black (Appropriate for 2011 3D TVs)) comes with all 5 movies included (Shreks 1-4 and Megamind) - no requirement for vouchers as reported in March possibly even. None have subtitles apparently, mentioned previously about the box, although subtitles usually detract from 3D, it would are actually nice to have that option.

PICTURE QUALITY: The most important and quite a few obvious difference was the picture quality. The colors, contrast along with general the "life like" company's Sony and Samsung were very obviously much better than the LG. This is not really a subtle difference. I'm not big on 3D, but I've come across a few of the streaming 3D previews and nature documentaries available through Smart Hub as well as the quality is superb. The Wireless reception is excellent, and establishing the network for Netflix was very easy - The remote carries a full keypad on one side which helps a great deal in typing in passwords etc (The remote features a gyroscope/sensor, so the keypad is inactive when its facing down, during normal use). The truly irritating thing though would be that the keypad doesn't work for that search input on Netflix or YouTube, which I hope they fix soon!
I've used Samsung's Allshare media server software to stream videos and music from my laptop with the wireless network and delay pills work all right (so does other media server software - Serviio is an excellent alternative. I like joining my hard disk drive straight away to the TV, because nether Allshare nor other media software enable you to rewind and forward videos.
The Android remote app can also be excellent - this is a full feature remote and to put together. I've already been using the imediashare lite android app to stream stuff from my phone.
I can't comment on the customer service since i have haven't had any issues, however i got a whole lot on the 3 year in-home service plan at a shop I got myself the TV, so I'm covered.
A FINAL WORD - I'd seen some reviews point out that they don't really get Dolby 5.1 surround from Netflix, and this was obviously a downer - I could not obtain a clear reply to that at a shop, or from the Samsung website. I'm able to report now that it DOES support HD and 5.1 Dolby digital from Netflix - I've tested it then there is without a doubt - my AV receiver shows a Dolby Digital signal. I believe it is a recent thing - there were a firmware upgrade in Dec 2011, and at least one Smart Hub upgrade since i have bought it in late Jan.

After he left, I connected it and saw an extended Purple line in the the top panel towards the bottom which persisted. Following a 2 hour call to Samsung tech support they agreed it was a defective panel.
To my suprise, the seller Electronics Expo refused to replace it all! Amazon customer satisfaction tried but even though a 20 min call and argument with a manager at Electronics Expo the very friendly and apologetic Amazon agent can't influence them because they are a 3rd party. Lucky, Amazon has opted for own it acquired free and definately will refund my $2000.00. that Electronics Expo is from the Amazon site with this item. My advice: Stick with Electronics sold only by Amazon rather than a 3rd party this way fly by nignt seller Electronics Expo.

Amazon rapidly refunded my money, arranged free pick-up by the trucking firm and removed another parter seller Electronic Expo from your Amazon Internet site. I re-purchased the UM-55D8000 at a local P.C. Richards & Sons. That they had a package deal with 2 additional 3-D glasses and also a Samsung BluRay DVD and if you do quick negotiation with their Manager, the P.C. Richard price was even some amount of money under the Amazon partner negating the sales tax. I gave away the DVD like a Christmas gift.
I have had the the newest working Samsung UM-55D800 to get a month which is Amazing!. The picture quality is first rate. Watching Sports and films is a whole new experience never to be missed.
The 3-D capabilities are excellent, the children love the Shrek 1 to 4 movies so do I! Most new Blu Ray players will buy some new 2D movies to 3D mode. The sole negative opinion that I share with many other reviewers could be the design of the QWERTY remote and also the Samsung Internet interface. It is rather challenging to browse the net and slow for email. Also all Samsung LCD TV's and Blu Ray players don't have the Amazon Link for movie rentals. For people Amazon Prime customers it is a slight negative. However, my new Panasonic Blu Ray WiFi player gets the Amazon software and link to Amazon Prime which means this gets around that drawback.
My advice: Buy this fantastic Lcd television... You'll find it irresistible, along with buy any large electronics from an Amazon partner who will not support the sale. It appears that regardless how great Amazon customer care is( which is wonderful )they do not have contol from the partners on his or her site.

No problem---it is grossly overpriced and also you have no need for it---it is simply 2 pairs of 3D glasses and some kid's movies. 2 pairs of 3D glasses are added to the TV. Samsung seems to be cagey about which type of 3D glasses is included---probably because they've changed with availability. With my case two 3500CR 3D glasses were in the box with all the TV. If you want more 3D glasses, look elsewhere than Amazon (including the local Sears, really), and pay over $30 each. WHY YOU NEED A BLUE-RAY PLAYER
Yes your old DVD player will continue to work using your Samsung D8000 TV, but you'll be disappointed. "BDWise" is ALWAYS the top picture---but you will not have that option if your TV and player were different brands. 4) The logic of the TV and player is the similar, so that you only need to learn one system. 5) You don't need to be worried about possible conflicting functions which can be a consequence of mixing different brand players and TVs. 3D is very tricky and possibly uses a close matchup from a player and TV. HDMI CABLE
In any case, neither the tv screen nor the Blu-ray player (nor an upscaling DVD player) comes with an HDMI cable. You have to acquire one separately. RELATIVE COST
If your husband/wife/etc. objects to spending much cash on a TV: Consider dropping cable (~$80/month) and substituting Netflix ($8/month)(or some other competitive streaming service)---that's $864 a year vs $96 annually. 72,000 titles on demand---watch them whenever you want. You'll save almost enough by 50 percent years to pay for the tv screen. In Miami, my Samsung TV receives 52 free broadcast channels in the air, all network broadcasts are HD and superior, via my 20-year-old analog antenna. With Netflix, who needs cable? Caveat: streaming sports services can be obtained at expense, which means you may wish to investigate the details before quitting cable. I do not value sports, and so i can't counsel you farther on that one.
SUGGESTIION
If this is your first time starting wireless connections, enabling content providers, etc., be sure to schedule 6 or 7 hours and turn into you've taken your Prosiac or Valium first, or find some 12-year-old kid to get it done to suit your needs in A quarter-hour. SAMSUNG UN60D8000 vs PN64D8000
The overall image brightness of the PN64D8000 involved 20% darker than some other TV That i have ever owned so the picture finished up looking dull and didn't pop off of the screen how I had hoped it might. That overall brightness problem seemed to be complicated by way of a brightness throttle that are part of the TV that keeps the picture at or below a fixed intensity. This throttle causes huge consistency problems as some scenes will be perfect after which so you notice activate when the most screen has truly light or white content along with the TV keeps it from displaying a pure crisp white and instead it throttles it back so you have a muddy light grey. Before anyone attempts to tell tell me it was a calibration problem I realize which i work professionally within the film and video industry and I understand how to calibrate a TV which means this has not been an issue with the settings. If you read the review on televisioninfo.com so will note that they tested the peak brightness with the PNXXD8000 plasma vs. the UNXXD8000 LED as well as the plasma scored a 90.43 cd/m2 as the LED scored a 357.93 cd/m2 which can be nearly four times as bright.
The UN60D8000 could be the opposite as the picture is bright with pure whites and it has the most effective overall quality I have ever seen on any TV. It handles day to day TV watching through DireTv incredibly well because picture looks fantastic but when you watch a Bluray this TV is merely jaw dropping.
OVERALL DESIGN AND SMART HUB
There is not any denying that this TV looks beautiful with it's thin edge and slim design can make it look wonderful once you out it for the wall. I wound up hanging mine for the wall since the four legged TV stand taught me to be nervous mainly because it was stable laterally however it appeared like it could tip over fairly easily cab to tailgate. The Samsung Smart Hub can be a nice addition but if My goal is to browse the web I might rather do it on my laptop i found that services like Hulu Plus and Netflix should picture after i ran them on my small Playstation 3 vs the Smart Hub. Most plasma's will throttle back the white level but I never saw one as bad because the muddy and dull whites with the PN64D8000 plasma. As well any edge lit LED could have a difficulty the place that the edges will be a bit lighter as opposed to middle and you also have a little of this on the UN60D8000. This TV has a little of this issue however, you will only see when the screen is very black and so on mine it looks just like a subtle gradient that goes from a very dark grey to black running to certainly left. Personally this slight black level problem was A Many more acceptable compared to the dull and muddy white point on their own plasma which just wrecked my watching experience for TV, Bluray and PS3. If you calibrate your UN60D8000 you are able to pretty much totally eliminated the black level problem.
NO VIEWING ANGLE PROBLEMS
I also read a great deal of reviews which are really documented on the viewing angle with this TV which it had the narrowest angle from a LED TV in it's class therefore i had visions from the old projection TV's where in the event you weren't right in front than it you truly couldn't see anything. My kitchen and living room is one big space with the kitchen sitting to the correct from the TV and I've had not an issue in any way watching from with regards to a 45-60 degree angle while I will be cooking. There isn't any noticeable reduction in any detail or contrast unless you are almost standing next to the TV.
I'M Not only a FAN OF 3D BUT This could CHANGE MY MIND
I have always believed that 3D only agreed to be a gimmick for movie studios to charge more for movie tickets and also the movies I have seen with in the theaters never changed my thoughts. This TV came with two pairs of 3D glasses and I threw my the 3D version of Tron Legacy into give it a shot and I must say it had been a lot better than any 3D experience I've been able to in almost any cinema. I used to be when I tried the 3D out with Killzone 3 on Ps3 which i saw how great this might be. 3D gaming on this TV is actually fun which is something I'll be doing regularly.
PS3 'MODE NOT SUPPORTED' PROBLEM SOLVED
The one issue We have with the TV is a concern I never saw in any review in support of heard bout when i purchased the tv screen which can be that there's an issue between Samsung LED TV's and gaming consoles specially the Ps3. If you fire up your Playstation some of the time you will notice the tv screen display a mistake message suddenly saying 'Mode not supported'. After months when trying something more important I ran across the perfect solution is. In your PS3 check out Settings > Display Settings > Deep Color Output (HDMI) and hang it to OFF. This solved each of the problems instantly.
Amazing tv!
We've were built with a couple HDTVs before, though the picture for this Samsung is miles far above anything we have ever seen before. You can observe little particulars on the screen you never might have noticed before - from smudges in people's eye comprise, to individual components of grass moving in the wind. We haven't tried out the 3D yet - I'll return to update how it looks even as do.
The only complaint I have will be the frameless style. We have the tv screen on a cantilever wall-mount, and without a frame, everytime we adjust the tv, we end up receiving smudges on screen.
Overall, we've happy using this tv; it really is versatile and also the picture is downright amazing.

If you're undecided concerning this Samsung UN60D8000 60" LED...
I need to punch a big hole during my own credibility though...I'm coming off a 65" Mitsubishi projection TV I've had for nearly a decade.
But Used to do do a good amount of research along with the UN60D8000 was the most effective value taking into consideration each of the features & specifications versus the purchase price.
There is mention of micro-dimming problems, edge bleed, picture uniformity, and screen glare in certain reviews. I honestly can't distinguish any difficulty with the micro-dimming, or any edge-bleed and even picture uniformity (again, 65" projection for 10 yrs!). The screen is actually comparatively glossy; but, I purchased an articulating wall mount (Unibrak UNB550). So any glare is easily removed with a slight tilt or swivel with the screen.
There seemed to be point out that there's no support for 5.1 surround sound with the SmartHub functionality. This might definitely be a worry personally, however i picked up an LG LHB976 Blu-ray home entertainment system w/Smart TV & integrated Wi-Fi. This device connects to every media source how the Samsung UN60D8000 does & more, all in perfect 5.1 multichannel surround sound.
Word of warning: This TV is so magnificent, it's almost unbearable to observe anything in SD. Regular Cable looks horrible on this TV, HD cable is not bad, DVDs are fantastic, game titles are wonderful...but the detail of a Blu-ray disc will blow you away!! Netflix, Hulu, & Amazon Prime all look great (in HD).
Make sure you pick up a number of very fast HDMI cables & make an effort to keep in mind that life's still happening around you as you become absorbed in this incredible viewing experience ;)
Unbelievable clarity and contrast
My first delivery was refused as a consequence of damage during shipping. The second time was the charm.
With me becoming an audio/video novice, I discovered little calibration was involved for the tv within home theatre setup. The Samsung TV's output is absolutely stunning or even impressive to my eyes, out from the box. With the aid of a friend, the tv screen was wall mounted and Avatar was slipped in the Blu-Ray player to try the tv's visual capabilities. My buddy that is an A/V semi-pro was literally awe struck. 2D images have the symptoms of depth. It's just beginning to feel normal if you ask me however it is not just a complaint. Rather, it's a realization how little detail other tvs can produce for the same video or broadcast.
Be aware the screen is glossy. Even although tv is installed in a very brightly lit room, there exists hardly any notice of glare from sunlight in the tv (I've the tv tilted).
One nice feature is the capability to let down the annoying Samsung light centered in the bottom of the tv.
I have both antenna and cable (cable is thru HDMI) connections for the tv. The antenna provides the best resolution from the two. Watching football from an OTA signal is an amazing experience.
The tv is an element of the home theatre including an A/V receiver and media server. Rather than use the built-in wireless wifi, I take advantage of an ethernet link to send movies from your media server to the tv. The tv and A/V sync perfectly for sound through HMDI ARC port. The tv utilizes the media server, while using ethernet connection.
Now the downside. After 2 weeks, the settings to the HDMI-CEC 'receiver on' usually do not keep. Not sure why. If you plan to use this tv by having an antenna, be aware not every stations broadcast true 1080i signal. It will end up painfully obvious which stations are not broadcasting true HD signals. If your main reason to purchase this tv would be to watch 'regular' tv using an antenna, expect you'll be disappointed for most of that time period when viewing programming which is not in true HD. This isn't Samsung's fault yet it's a downside. Likewise, it will be obvious which of the cable stations are certainly not in true HD too. Also, Samsung won't use the ethernet capabilities from the HDMI cables but you will need Broadband HDMI with Ethernet to obtain the 3D signal for the TV out of your A/V receiver or Blu-Ray player.
In summary, An excellent opportunity anyone considering to acquire a large screen LED/LCD tv to think about Samsung.
PROS:
-impressive tv output, right out from the box without the calibration. This tv makes watching sports (OTA HD signal) a simple, guiltless move to make (so much for the to do list).
-2D images have depth, especially evident if you watch a BR movie or late Online movie.
-single remote for both tv and BR player (both same brand)
-automatic update feature (when linked to the internet)
-easy integration having a media server
-works well with Windows (Vista and 7) based computers on a home network
CONS:
-no capability to stream videos right to it using Amazon Prime. Do an internet search to discover more info. Easy deal with is by using a pc or video game console to send the streaming video for the tv.
-cannot contain the setting kept to make around the A/V receiver automatically when flipping on it. It always default to 'off'.
-glossy screen. Not a problem for me personally but the glossy screen could be a problem for some.
OTHER:
-if you are buying this tv online, think about the return policy with the seller before buying. Amazon features a great return/refund policy but you may have to wait for Amazon to own best pricing (it seems to become a cycle when Amazon is the cheapest over their marketplace retailers or other trusted online stores). Personally, I am unable to imagine another online retailer that is much better than Amazon for customer support.
-you'll definitely need help lifting or placing this tv into place. It's too big and very costly for a single person to lift it.
-there's lots of possibilities in creating and calibrating the television the way you like. If you are not too savy using the settings, hopefully, there is a friend that's knowledgable within the A/V arena to finalize the settings/calibration to your liking.
-there's a setting to automatically adjust the tv's brightness, depending on lighting level within the room. I keep it on.
-if you intend to wall mount a tv on this size, ensure that the wall mounting hardware is sturdy. And the hardware is securely mounted on the wall. Don't cut corners - mount right to wall studs or masonry (to not the drywall or the mortar joints).
-if you research forums for the different tv offerings, you could come away with the idea all silver screen tvs are problematic. As required, go to your local retailer(s) to help you decide which is the best tv to suit your needs.
Update:
A couple of attempts at 'calibrating' (really, they were small adjustments) towards the display unit for bluray movies and tv programming were stated in the past two weeks. Minor adjustments were built to backlighing, contrast, keep judder low, blur reduction high and automation on. The email address details are even more impressive than before! The simplest way I can describe it, the picture reproduction can be so good it's life-like; it's being a peering thru a clean, clear window onto a scene and witnessing the experience unfold with your presence. Watching the football games while using antenna is a perfect way to understand the abilites with this tv to supply outstanding video for your eyeballs.
Streaming videos from a NAS unit is smooth and without any video playback stutter or judder.
There's a number of wishes outstanding: real integration of non-Samsung A/V receivers with all the HDMI-CEC protocol (it worked well with my Yamaha receiver before Samsung's mid-December firmware update and not since), plus a insufficient the Amazon Prime widget is a bit annoying.

Out with the box this TV is amazing. Came with 2 couple of 3D glasses in the box. The thin bezel may be valued at every penny. I was taking into consideration the 8000 plasma and opted for this LED. I tend not to regret my decision for one second. There is nothing else I can say. The remote is a touch weird. I agree the QWERTY side requires a light. The SmartHub is nice but it's not a PC experience. There are a million settings to tweak the image in your hearts content. The audio rocks !. Stop hearing me babble and just have it. Sound quality is a touch low, but wait, how much sound is it possible to get from a TV about an inch thick?
One item worth noting--the TV has apps for Hulu, Netflix along with other online content streamers. But you know what? No Amazon Prime app can be obtained for that 2011 Samsung TV's! So, for those who have Amazon Prime--you need to access movies and Television shows from Prime with a internet browser around the TV instead of directly via an Amazon app. It appears they have integration with previous year Samsung TVs--BUT Steer clear The newest MODELS. Neither Samsung nor Amazon Prime support could tell me if, or in the event the app could be available. Bummer.

Wow and WOW!
I attended best to buy to ascertain if they would price match this TV and so they said they do not price complement amazon, i really noticed that it absolutely was on the market by Paul's TV, so they checked against each other on-line. Turns out Paul's TV sells for a different price on amazon than their sale price on-line at their web-site and so i ordered from Amazon.
The TV arrived within 2 days. Can't require better delivery service than that.
The picture about this TV is amazing and the 3D is even better. I replaced a 46" Samsung 3D TV using this type of one and it's also about 30% brighter than my old one and a lot thinner. The glasses are way cooler as opposed to ones I aquired with my old 3D TV and they are rechargeable.
All in all of the, if you are seeking a brand new TV, this is the one to get.

With having said that, this Samsung is the better TV I have come across and now own and am extremely pleased with the results. I've recommended it to any or all of my close friends and family, just after they wipe off the drool and close their mouths. :-)
Absolutely STELLAR picture! Awesome delivery!
Amazon's White Glove Delivery was included in the price along with a pleasant surprise! The deliverers brought the TV in to the house, unboxed it, assembled it, plugged it in, turned it on and tested it. They even can wanted to haul away this area and packing materials! Much superior to the local store plopping it at the back of your car or truck and letting YOU handle everything! While I really do try and buy local once i can, Amazon beat the cost by large sums of money as well as the White Glove Delivery was icing for the cake. On to the TV:
Folks, for now, you cannot get far more top notch than the UN55D8000. It will basically something you like it to! The image is brilliant and amazing; and 3D has definitely evolved a good deal since the times of red & blue 3D glasses inside theater! This set even carries a 3D Mode that can convert your standard, 2-dimensional shows in a 3D of sorts. Form of gimmicky I realize... yet it's there.
We purchased a Samsung HT-D6500W 3D Blu-Ray Home Theater at the same time, and fully expected the 2 to go to one another. They certainly. They argue.
The most egregious example of this became after i point our Logitech Harmony One universal remote at the system and press "Watch TV". It's configured to show everything on (who's does) as well as the satellite picture and sound came up beautifully... for 10-seconds. Then your input changed! All by itself! It would take 4 steps of going through various menus simply to get our satellite back for the TV!
After a Samsung technician came out and spent an hour or so . 5 troubleshooting it, we finally found the culprit: an attribute called Anynet+ was enabled and then for some reason, the property Theater was changing inputs. Anynet+ is often a bell/whistle that basically doesn't have to get there... specifically if you possess a universal remote. Just what it does is control the house theater's volume and power from your TV remote. Since we utilize a universal remote, it's entirely unnecessary and results in more problems of computer fixes. I'm telling you: if you buy a Samsung Smart TV, a Samsung Smart Home theatre, and also a universal remote, the very first thing you need to do is disable Anynet+ in the settings. Count on me.
Don't expect much of sound out of this television. What i'm saying is, almost all of it is really an inch thick; very little room for speakers inside! Besides, if you're looking for a real home cinema experience, you're likely not planning to desire to rely on the TV's sound anyway for HD viewing. Spring for any Samsung home cinema in the box just like the HT-D6500.
All in most, If only I could give this TV 6 stars. It's network capable via wi-fi (be sure you provide an 802.11n speed router - b & g speeds won't make the grade here); it's 3D, it's brilliant once configured for home use; and Samsung's tech support is top-notch. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
The only, and i also mean ONLY, possible negative thing is the user's manual is For the TV. You'll be hard-pressed to discover a hard-copy user's manual for this. However the guide that accompany it virtually covers basic principles and definately will maybe you have installed and operating very quickly.
If you decide to buy, I hope you enjoy your UN55D8000 just as much as we all do ours. Just disable Anynet+ and you will be fine.
EDIT: I forgot all about this neat little feature called DLNA! Should your smartphone is DLNA-capable (like my Galaxy Nexus), it's quite simple to stream music, pics and vids from your phone to the UN55D8000 wirelessly! You just need a DLNA client app on your phone (Skifta inside the Android Market works brilliantly; I'm sure there's somethin for Apple products too). The television ask one to permit the source oral appliance off you go. Just hit "Exit" about the TV's remote if you are done. If I consider other things I'll let you know.
Fantastic TV!
The Good:
- I needed no problems installing the television about the wall (though my handyman helped). Took about 30 minutes.
- Set-up was increasingly easy. Took about 3 minutes to obtain linked to my house's wifi. Remote and 3D glasses paired straight away (two glasses were in the tv box, and once I realized they have to be charged, everything was very successful).
- Fantastic picture-- once I work it to my liking. Live sports look incredible, and movies appear to be movies.
- 3D is amazing. I didnrrrt think I want it almost as much ast I did, but I'm hooked!
- I've had no issues with flashlighting or edge lighting like another people have mentioned. I'm fairly tech savvy, if there is any defect inside tv picture, it is too subtle that i can notice.
The Bad:
- Default settings about the tv usually are not ideal. Initially when i first turned on it, any movies that I watched seemed like soap operas... a really video kind of look, which has been very distracting. I spent about Thirty minutes trying different settings until I became capable of making live tv look really good AND movies/dramatic shows look nice. My settings are below.
- The 3D glasses switch off automatically after about 10 mins of not moving. So, if you are watching a 3D movie and do not turn your head within that time, the glasses switch off so you lose the 3D. Can be as easy to perform is shake the glasses and so they turn right back on, but it's annoying. Maybe there's some trick I'll learn that help keep them on....

I read many reviews where people complain about problems with the image quality. I have never experienced any of those issues and I have had the tv screen for upwards of A couple of months now.

That is definitely an SMART and clever thing to get on the TV. I am not sure why the 65 inch came out I've got a 55 inch TV. I expect it is
just as pleasant to look at because the other, just bigger.
I didn't think this TV would be as nice as the black ones but it's better! My husband and youngsters try to go on it over together with my son's
friends they enjoy to experience 3D football or watch it in 3D with the flip of your switch.

The picture with this tv is fantastic,I have seen reviews were people get stuck for the proven fact that a corner lite occurs on some corners.I have calibrated my picture turning on the back lit between 7 to 10 which helps. I know prefer the settings darker, I find it more natual then everything real bright.

With DIRECTV the tv stations are perfect quality along with the color playing a blu-ray is ideal.
The glasses for watching a 3d blu-ray is 100% better then my 2010 Samsung PN50C7000 plasma, mind you the Plasma television is awesome don't get me wrong, I recently get many flashing using the IR glasses, Blu-tooth is more effective no disconnects when turning your head away. I really believe this is the reason Samsung changed to Blu tooth so soon.
UPDATE: i noticed that some reviews were saying they do not get 5.1 audio? This is my setup Direct TV to my onkyo TX-N509 AV Receiver TV HDMI 2arc Very fast HDMI cable. I am going to Smart Hub and in Netflix picked a netflix movie which has 5.1 audio played it, my receiver shows dolby digital 5.1 also played a show from vudu also 5.1 hence the reports that smart hub doesn't play in five.1 unless i'm crazy and also have the only tv that plays 5.1 this tv supports it.
One more point about this 3D tv it's amazing. My issues are with the amount of 3D blu-ray's that are available, Not too MANY. The majority of the ones out there are 2D changed to 3D from the studio's. Thor is very dark in 3D so you appear to lose many the 3d effect. It isn't as a result of tv it does not take blu ray's. After that time the other hand Beauty along with the Beast is beautiful, Megamind is great with lots of color. I can not loose time waiting for my Avatar Blu-ray 3d to reach you i'm getting your Panasonic Blu-ray Promo.
Great TV, simply beautiful
What a difference that is! The picture quality isn't impressive, it's inspiring. The colours are rich, the experience appears very smooth, as well as the detail is wonderful. Sports (especially hockey) is in a different league.
Mine is placed on an articulating arm which extends about two feet in the wall cabinet it can be mounted in, and combined with ultra thin bezel - the TV looks like it's floating up. Creates an excellent all-around visual.
I didn't buy this for that 3D, although it's a nice addition. It's impressive however, not "blow-your-socks-away" amazing. I've only watched Avatar on Verizon FiOS, so I'm certain it will be better once i obtain a better content source. The glasses pair up easily, and I get no distraction or headaches from wearing them.
The menu method is responsive, the hookup fairly straightforward - although I would have liked a prolonged power cord, given my specific placement. I am not using the TV for audio, so can't discuss that.
The remote is a bit too much, of course.
And, wow - seems like a number of people are complaining about pairing the remote, or pairing the glasses, or having the wireless network configurations perfectly. Lucky for us, it shipped with a complimentary owners manual and describes each one of these things in great detail. Browse the manual and lots of of people problems should go away.

This tv is amazing
I was checking Amazon and all the offline web sites everyday and when Greatest coupe lowered there price to 2247.99 I went right to HH Gregg where they match plus 10 percent! Also obtained a Samsung 450 Soundbar while there. Took the complete kaboodle home and got to work. Mounted it on a Omnimount low profile unit purchased at Sam's Club (another story all together). Turning the 8000 on the first time walks you thru a couple of steps the first of is connecting in your wifi. Easy. Waited on Directv to boot up and WOW, the picture floored me. With all the low profile mount it seems being a big photo hanging on the wall, it's very slim it don't appear possible. Not a massive 3d fan i used to be not hoping to be impressed by any movie however i popped in Mega Mind 3d that was included with the 3d kit and quickly changed my thoughts. Since I have Directv Furthermore, i thought we would watch one of there 3d channels so I turned it to espn 3d and the Auburn -South Carolina football replay was on, It had been very impressive, this 3d thing may catch on all things considered. I've not noticed any banding or light bleeding in around the edges and believe me I have been looking. The only negative I'm able to have to say is the sound is just not great...kinda muffled. Get yourself a sound bar or any other external sound unit. The Smart Apps been employed good ,or at best the ones I've tried( Netflix, SEC Network and YouTube). Web surfing applying this browser may test out your patience on account of using arrow secrets to select hyperlinks. Downloaded the Samsung Remote to my IPad this also didn't help. Well i guess, I'll just stick to my pc or iPad for surfing. Hope this can help someone. For those who have questions just ask.

The TV is awesome, picture quality/features/looks and much more. It's 21st century and it was about time for you to integrate gadgets in the tv, to prevent all of the clutter to connect to tv. Integrations like Wireless internet, DLNA, Browser, qwerty remote certainly are a move around in the proper direction. There are additional TVs offering this, but Samsung UN55D8000 has been doing an excellent job normally made available. I obtained an excellent price from Amazon that i'm happy so far (been 72 hours). Will update if my estimation changes.
Better than expected! And that i expected PERFECTION!
I realize that some individuals think the tv looks "too real", but I love the realistic nature of the image. With the tv hanging on the wall, the thin bezel (4mm) along with the realistic picture allow it to be resemble you are searching outside by having a window. Great TV-Fabulous Picture!!
I toned the contrast & color down somewhat from factory settings,( to get additional life from the jawhorse), along with the picture is definitely amazing. The 3D is actually comparatively nice too. It included 2 battery operated 3D glasses that synced quickly while using TV. I had a $45 coupon for Best Buy, and located the Samsung Megamind 3D Core kit for $129, therefore i only spent $84 to the Megamind 3D Blu Ray Kit, while Amazon was selling it for $184. Have Megamind, all Shrek 3D Blu Rays, plus ANOTHER set of two Samsung battery operated 3D glasses. The design is unique, but they still use the 2011 or more Samsung 3D TVs. Colors, and also the picture will always be phenomenal!! I looked at Megamind, IMAX Underneath the Sea, and Thor 3D's along with the 3D looks nice. Blacks are black.
The Smart TV hub found my router quite easily. A lot of people complain about lacking Amazon Prime Instant Video. We've it, while i have a very Google TV, and also a Roku XS2. Each one of these may be had for around $100. We are putting the Roku inside basement workout area feeding 2 32" LCDs later. Today We have 4 HDMI cables visible coming to the TV's right side. I would like a 3D reciever to solve the clutter. I've opt for Onkyo 709, and new surround speakers w/ sub. I didnrrrt get that yet, but should as my older Sony surround is on it's last legs. That being said, the sound from this TV is fairly good...considering how thin it can be, but I wouldn't crank it. I acquired some year warranty

I aren't seeing any lines or cloudiness or some of the stories being told here.
I changed my settings about the TV, bought new category 2 HDMI cables and hang up up all devices for higher definition.
I personally believe that many people in this forum do not know the best way to connect and set up this TV and blame it about the set as opposed to the connections.
Cloudiness is because of an incredibly high brightness and contrast settings inside the original vivid and normal mode. As soon as you the choice is yours lower (similar to plasma settings) everything just looks great.
When I connected it for some reason the Sat box went back to 480p resolution without me knowing i thought the picture was horrible! Than I work it to 1080i and now it's great!
This is simply one from the examples why things look detrimental to people.

Very pleased with this LED delight
I did check out a handful of stores and just view tv with no attempt to see who had been who, concentrating only on the pictures and then for any distracting artifacts. Since it was just in time for the Christmas buying season, there have been vast numbers of sets to view. After a short time, I was convinced that I would choose an LED exclusively for the green factor and energy use. There is not wrong with a television that is only an inch thick, either, being a wonderful update to the room decor.
The television won me finished with the creatative design touches, outstanding image quality noted in several store displays, and an Amazon price which was actually a good steal. I was able to purchase the 46" model for under $1600, free freight, no sales tax, and two set of two 3D glasses within the box. I ordered on Thursday plus it was delivered the subsequent Monday.
The picture right out from the box is acceptable, but nowhere nearly as nice as possible by chilling fine tuning abdominal muscles numerous picture settings in the onscreen menu. I had already had our service upgraded to HD from the satellite provider, so we were basically all set. I have not yet give a sound bar to the system, because takes hold my living room, that i'm not sure that we are ready for surround sound on a constant basis. Hubby tends to turn some misconception too loud as is, i really have decided to reside in with all the sound shipped to now.

GREAT TV, remote needs work
The picture is phenomenal along with the black levels are close to plasma levels. All that in an energy-efficient, light, thin package with GREAT industrial design. It's a beautiful TV regardless if its off.
Gaming and Blu Ray look nice. HDTV looks decent but I imagine the television is simply too good and shows many little minute flaws in a lot of the so named "HDTV" broadcasts. Some looks crisp, some look a bit weird. It's a 60" screen so that it magnifies things a lttle bit. I havent even tried streaming everything because that crap looked terrible on my own 50" TV this one its likely to look a lot more terrible. Netflix, you do have a Good way to choose video quality.
Now, I gave the TV 5 stars because I dont intend to ever use the remote that came with the TV. Howver, simply using it to configure the setting was AGGRAVATING understandably. the buttons just would register before you pressed down unattainable in it. very frustrating.
Great purchase and I would recommend this TV to anyone. No need to go plasma to get those rich darks anymore!|

Excellent set and service
I ordered the set from Amazon because: best price, no tax, free delivery, free return. The set was delivered exactly on-time depending on the schedule I'd arranged (noon-2pm) along with the "white glove" service included the knowledgeable deliverymen unboxing the set, installing it for the included stand, and turning it on. If we all inspected for scratches, blemishes, etc. I signed a receipt and off they went.
I've been enjoying HD cable programming, Playstation 3 slim gaming (Call of Duty: MW3), and watching streaming movies (via Netflix and Vudu). I would not select this set since it supports 3D however i am glad it does. The 3D experience on this set is very good and i'm looking towards viewing 3D weight loss content welcomes in. I also love the SmartHub feature -- there are many useful Samsung apps out i surely could instantly view slide shows of photo's from all of our networked PC's.
Only two complaints: I can't such as the feel of the included remote the other of these two 3D headsets is DOA. I'll update this review with my experience of obtaining a replacement headset.

Great Picture Quality
What a fantastic Picture!
The TV does a fantastic job of up-sizing the screen image to full wide screen (my 2-year old Samsumg Plasma is not going to do this over the DLNA connection, only through regular TV inputs). The 2D to 3D capability does provide some nice depth with a movie, however i suspect native 3D would be a better experience (tomorrow will inform).
The internet connectivity and power to run DLNA video streams within the wireless connection were terrific.. no extra cables to operate! Also the world wide web explorer is a nice touch, although remote doesn't make a terriffic mouse pointing device.
All in most, it's really a great television... thin like a dime, very light (simple to hold on the wall if you do buy the wall mount), which has a great LED picture. Connectivity options are as good as Samsung's first offering, the 2D to 3D rendering does a fantastic job, and that i enjoy native 3D movies over the following day or so.

Great Picture - Amazing Design
With that taken care of - This TV is amazing. I pondered this buy for months - Reading pro and con reviews, seeing the takes hold person, on and on through blogs before making the choice to pull the trigger. We are amazed with the black levels this set produce which contrast well will the vibrant colors that the set produces. Further, the Micro Dimming plus feature only accessible for this model and also the 7900 is constantly on the enhance contrast levels by automatically brightening and dimming small chapters of the tv screen when said brightness just isn't needed. You are able to clearly notice this higher-end feature than you are on an arrangement without it.
The 3D knowledge about this set was as you expected. No cross-talk or noise was noted within the picture. The 3D effect had a little more depth than my passive 3D set, and produced an incredible 3D picture. The glasses are significantly lighter and less annoying than previous generation active 3D glasses.
I easily mounted this set to my main bedroom wall using the old Samsung Slim-Profile mount kit coming from a 40 inch Samsung LED this set replaced. The kit worked fine, though the length of the screws was slightly short, and required me to perform for the local home warehouse to acquire longer screws. No biggie.
Also, it was frustrating to find the included remote to utilize the set. I attempted everything to pair the remote, without having prevail. Finally, research online on the internet said that pairing cannot occur across an area, so you have to be in a foot or two from your set for pairing to operate. I moved near the TV, and reinitiated pairing, that it finally worked. This is in the directions somewhere, nevertheless it has not been immediately noticed by me.

The Media HUB can also be useful, mainly because it has use of Netflix, YouTube plus a lot of other useful apps. In addition the WIFI works awesome on this TV. I'm able to like a full movie from netflix without any issues or hicups. I needed read that some individuals were saying that the WIFI has not been good, but I must disagree because this works good on my TV.
I do recommend for a surround system to go with the picture quality. The built in speakers are certainly not exceptional, but it is normal with every one of these TV's.
I recommend the Sony BDV-HZ970W Blu-ray Player Home Entertainment System conveniently obtainable here on Amazon. Although the Anynet+ feature seems to be inconsistent but that appears to be standard.

As for your television itself, the picture quality is stunning. The colors are rich and incredibly stick out. The blacks are truly black. Sometimes you could begin to see the edge lit about the unit, but it is rare if you ask me. I've only notice during transition periods, if the screen blanks out temporarily. I suspect it really is as a result of broadcast itself. I wouldn't hold this from the television. This unit comes complete with features and apps, opening the doors wide open to online content. The keyboard around the remote is an excellent feature, although governing the mouse cursor by using it may be frustrating occasionally.
The 3D is fun and quite good. You can take advantage of it by watching a number of the online videos after you connect the system to the web.
The two strongest points going for the UN55D8000 would be the stunning image quality and plethora of online widgets readily available for online content, aside from an Amazon Instant Video widget.
For the cost I got it for, it was a fantastic product!
This review is just not very technical it's only a layman's average Joe-consumer perspective. I used to be awaiting a few the high-end models to drop below $2000 before considering purchasing them and once they did I took doing my comparison. So from my perspective after on offer several stores including essentially one-stop stores that sell high-end TV's to electronics big box stores like Fry's to specialty/high-fidelity stores simply to visually compare the various models side-by-side, or even coming from a distance once they weren't alongside one another, both UND8000 and UND7000 series (2D wise) were likely the brightest and a lot brilliant colors in the bunch (e.g., comparing with similarly priced and sized models like LG Infinia 47LW6500 and LE8500, the Vizio XVT3D47SV, Sony Bravia KDLEX720 series and Bravia KDL-NX720 series). The only real place I discovered the Sony Bravia XBR46HX929 was with a Sony store and it-was the only other model I truly liked better also it was exactly what I had been searching for, but that was beyond my budget range. So, which was out.
Sure, this model has some difficulty with clouding about the edges, it-is an edge-lit LCD in fact, i really expected a number of that, however i believe the UND8000/7000's local dimming really works effectively to lower that affect and produce regarding the darks more evenly and so, in my opinion, it isn't that distracting. Besides the TV sits in a room that's not dark anyway and so the clouding is negligible. I wouldn't get an edge-lit LCD whether it was starting a dark or blacked out room-I'd probably get yourself a plasma. I like the fact objects to the rear aren't reflected on screen when I'm watching except, to some extent, in dark scenes. However ,, I would not have rear lighting; all of the lights are coming from above. The only bothering part aesthetically in my opinion was in the bottom with the TV can be a notch (i.e., in the UND8000 series; the 7000-series can be a uniformed frame) that frames a "Samsung" sign that's lit by default when you turn the tv screen on (it could be deterred, but why need it?); to me it's just a distracting design feature. Paring the QWERTY remote was pretty easy, but I often see some frustration whether or not this wasn't performed correcly the 1st time. Connecting to my home's wireless network went pretty smooth. Enough HDMI connections (about the right edge of the television) for my use (I only absolutely need two, one for my receiver and any devices is associated with that will one to the DVD. Others may require more.) and antenna connection that's angled down instead of perpendicular for the set. Yes, I take advantage of an antenna since i have wouldn't like cable. Streaming up to now may be smooth, however i get it done through my Blueray. Navigating the internet is ok, but I avoid my TV for that. Samsung has several apps that I've yet to attempt so that's for future years update.
To me the sound is not spectacular, but it's far better than average. Again, at as flat because it is, I'm amazed at the surround-sound-like quality. I haven't had to adjust the sound yet becuase it's "accurate" enough for me. Now, if I'm watching some epic movie where "sound effects" are area of the experience and that i only need more bass or something, this is when I take advantage of my amps, but that probably matches all TV's regardless. So, sound to me is often a non-issue. As good as many flat screens I've followed.
The 3D is really pretty decent; I watched NFL on 3D and i believe I favor watching it on 2D. Though 3D you should hold the monitor fill in because your periphery as possible, i.e., the further you settle-back the greater the TV should be. Otherwise, it simply has a "3D feel", however, not necessarily a "3D experience", I not really know how else to explain that. Regarding the weight in the glasses, I am not sure what people are referring to after they claim it's "heavy", the 3D glasses that came with the set are pretty light to me; like the weight of the few passive ones that you receive in the theater. I suppose I could've gotten the UND7000 series and saved a bundle, nevertheless for something I'd, essentially pay $1800 for with additional incorporates a bit better 3D that we got essentially to the price of UND7000-series available for sale, together with two 3D glasses with you, I couldn't pass it (i.e. $1339 on "deal in the day" on Amazon). But simply in case something does get it wrong (it is just a "Samsung" and Samsungs are famous for frequent repairs versus Sony's, but less frequently than Vizio's or LG's) I went to Costco and bought SquareTrade's 3-year manufacturer's warranty for $99 for TV's costing a lot more than $1000 and starts Following your manufacturer's warranty expires which is 15 months as soon as the date of purchase (whenever you register your UND8000, Samsung adds A few months warranty along with the conventional One year warranty); whenever you choose the SquareTrade warranty from Amazon that retails for $149 that warranty begins in the purchase date.
So, yes price did indeed take into account when determining the rating I gave this device, because for that price I bought it at, I used to be essentially now comparing it to the lower-end kinds of the spectrum in the high-end models...and the UND8000 blows them away which is a 5-star in my book.

I decided to order the 2011 Panasonic 310 Blueray with this, however i am waiting for the very first units to become shipped. My previous experiences could be that the two devices work effectively together, but a universal remote including the Harmony You are what you want.
The cause of deciding on the Panasonic is the Amazon On Demand App, which isn't currently offered for this TV. Also it is a pretty good player.
I have rented video from the 3 major of the apps and found one which includes 5.1 audio plus an SD picture for $3.99.
I did notice that during two of the firmware updates, my picture settings were reset. Go towards the CNET review and hang up your TV around their reference spec. and you'll see what this TV is absolutely effective at. Out of the box the picture is blue and can judder on some sources.
Samsung rocked my TV watching world
We started having a Sony 55" HX909 (something like that, their model numbers are beyond non-sensical). It worked approximately 15 minutes and then failed. Having already bought Sony 3D glasses and IR dongle, I could another sony, the 55" NX810. It stood a beautiful design and mostly worked. Unfortunately, there were two dark spots on the watch's screen. Aside from the above brown spots, the NX810 would have been a good TV. We did notice a bit weirdness with the local dimming causing the whole image to sometimes get noticeably brighter and dimmer when there was clearly a scene that was just for the cusp. The 3D was decent, but 3D video and then there was obviously a lots of contrast between something inside the foreground and background did bleed via a fair amount.
We called up sony regarding the brown spots and they a company that services TVs get in touch with us for any fix under warranty. I love this TV. it looks great if it is off. The picture quality looks great if it's on. To top it off, it truely does work very well with my new Onkyo receiver. I wanted an HDMI 1.4a switch the signal from move across the 3D from your PS3. I couldn't find any HDMI 1.4a switches, though the Onkyo receivers weren't not affordable, so I got a TX-NR708 or something like that. The frustrating thing about TVs has long been getting audio in the TV back to the receiver. With HDMI 1.4a, there's an audio return channel. Exactly the same HDMI cable that carries video and audio from my stereo receiver for the television enables you to send audio in the television time for the receiver. Used to don't have this working in the beginning as the audio return channel is only supported on HDMI2 (labeled as ARC on the back with the TV). A fast perusal through the manual clarified this. Since we may never use the TV tuner (live TV, this day in age? Seriously, who watches TV with no DVR?), I didn't think this audio return channel thing would be all of that useful however the TV has support for Hulu, Netflix and Pandora integrated. Starting these apps about the TV cause the receiver to automatically switch the signal from audio from your TV. The TV itself will turn the receiver off and on when the receiver is on, it automatically disables the tv screen speakers and also the volume control about the TV remote actually controls the receiver volume. I did not ought to spend hours finding out how to set all this up either, it worked.

I first saw the product while i walked in a Biggest score store. They a wall filled with LED 47,55 and 60 inch 240HZ TV's on demo however, this model's picture jumped right out at me. I actually have an LG LED 47 inch 240HZ set and couldn't believe the real difference even though i love my LG set. I asked the salesman if the Samsung TV set was create differently than all of the others? He answered no, we have them set the identical. I believe he explained vivid. I talk about well, why set picture was so crisp and clear even right up close? He answered, he beleives that Samsung just had a better screen than other brands.
I am not usually impressed by products being displayed at the store however I used to be now. Well, I researched the reviews online and many spoke very highly in the set. Of course there are always something which a person would really like or otherwise not like, even me. I truly do wish it used PASSIVE 3D glasses however I truly avoid using that function much. The remote and TV have so much Smarts with keys on both sides in the remote I may obtain a scaled down one like lesser designs have.
Samsung's web page "RECOMMENDS" their wall mounting system well I just used the generic the one which is on my wall. This mount had all kinds of different hardware to adjust to most brands approximately 59 or 60 inches. A SANUS VMPL50 i beleive.
The Samsung carries a larger screen than my LG but was about 15 lbs. lighter.

Well I took over but happened to be things squared away. Everything is OK in the meantime. The set looks great however I've lots to find out about every one of its funtions.

I didn't run into some of the build problems that others have mentioned. Actually, it absolutely was turn on and go. No screen issues either. The thing I'd personally mention is actually you're using external speakers, make sure you look at the audio settings to external speakers as opposed to the TV's speakers. The TV sound is okay, but 3D with my surround sound is knock your socks off.

It is a superb picture all the way around. Before i'd full HD to the house I did so watch some standard Def channels which were fuzzy, that is to get expected when you take a substandard quality signal and mess it up up Four times bigger it absolutely was available to be seen clearly.
The sound is actually really good in case you let the enhanced audio. Now understand that this TV is 1" thick, so getting anything besides average sound wasn't expected. The common screws that come with the wall mounts WILL NOT be long enough. I walked through Costco today and discovered that Samsung un55D8000 series could be the only TV maker with all the sunken holes. Don't simply go to a home improvement store and obtain longer screws with no knowledge of your work or comprehending the consequences. Finding a screw a long time (even by way of a 1/4") could drive the threads over the front glass!! As far as aesthetics go, my family and i both love the design of the TV. We have it mounted into our fireplace mantle current ultra slim bezel the image quite literally looks like it's popping out of your fireplace.
The 3D experience been specifically fantastic! You don't really notice much loss in relation to its color tone and saturation. I think my wife and I watched Six hours of 3D movies day one and didn't have any headache or eye strain issues. They definitely designed a solid 3D product.
I know everyone has were not impressed with vertical banding issues, however i haven't noticed them. Maybe it's using the calibration settings I wound up using? I have seen some uneven lighting on the top and bottom from the screen when loading certain backgrounds, nevertheless it has under no circumstances affected viewing performance if you watch TV or playing PS3 games so it hasn't bothered me in any way.
The only gripe that I have with all the unit could be the stupid remote. It's clunky instead of very responsive; sometimes I'll have to push a control button A few times before the TV responds to the command. I spent considerable time researching a good tv in the 2000 USD budget range, i narrowed my search as a result of this TV along with a Sony HX929 (or something that is). It would have been a little scary considering some reviews about this tv, especially with negative comments like banding issues, color distortion, and hardware controller failures. However, the price was 700 dollars cheaper than the Sony, and so i thought we would have a shot. I, together with all kinds of other people, that have received the Aug 2011 build designs include not had any problems. The TV is 21 days old, and never one issue. Perfect.

The only minor issue I've is by using the integrated applications, they run / strain on the slow side, however i didnt buy this TV for them. I aquired it for excellent pictures / movies, therefore far that is what I've received.

Picture quality is amazingly clear. Haven't notice any 'halo' effect as a couple of reviewers had mentioned. Contrast was set far too high (100%) out with the box and then we adjusted it as a result of about 60-65% and it is an extremely bright picture. With 4 HDMI connectors we're who is fit. Also offers a video/gaming cable that connects to a unique slot so my XBOX360 is attached as well. Have my wireless headphones attached to an audio-out jack so my wireless headphones are connected and I can watch TV without disturbing all of those other house shortly before bedtime.
So far, we like strangely. We had arrived even able to take good thing about a 3-D bundle that Amazon offered that included a Samsung Blu-Ray player, and the Mega Mind 3-D core kit that also includes 4 Srek DVDs and the 3-D Mega Mind movie and a couple electronic 3-D glasses. Including the two pair that was included with the RV we could have 4 walking the dog 3-D, or maybe let down the 3-D feature around the TV settings and watch a 3-D movie in 2-D instead. A great deal of features. Many 'Freebies' when accessing the Smart Hub (integrated wireless adapter) feature which requires wireless internet, but most of us have wireless right now anyway. Hope this helps people make a bit more informed descision.
One more thing, this TV shipped FREE because we have Amazon Prime.

Cost can be a premium however, if I purchase a tv I'd like it to be worth the investment and continue for 8-10 years. My last tv was surface of line 5 in years past is merely still excellent now. This tv is going to be worth the investment.

3D is a useful one. Included rechargable glasses which is top line.
Super thin and light-weight. Samsung can be a top brand so no quality issues. Numerous smart feautures but I dont have used them. No touch upon them.
Highly recommend. And dont use standard shipping to the first tv was damaged had to watch for another. use scheduled shipping may be it's going to be better.

So I've owned this TV for little over a month and i also can now supply you with a better review.
Picture quality remains to be the best I've ever seen. I watch HD channels and I love the product quality. I also stream movies from my NAS device without having a single issue. Goods fact, I got myself an XBOX because I was thinking I'd demand it to stream the flicks out of my Synology NAS, however, the tv screen can start to play anything (kinda like VLC) and also the XBOX sometimes screams it needs codecs or even the format isn't compatible.
As far as gaming goes, I cannot equate to a plasma television because I never played games on a single, but I understand plasma TVs include the gaming TV as a result of refresh rate, however, I don't think the Samsung has anything to envy with a 600MHZ. plasma television. Gaming is amazing if you've doubts regarding how this TV will work using a console, don't even hesitate!
No issues are observed so far as ghosting or some other issues like this.
Conclusion: Would I purchase this TV again? DEFINITELY!

6 months of ownership, TV is flawless. I came across one issue with the current firmware. Basically have the choice enabled to possess other devices manipulating the TV for instance my iPhone, then for a few odd reason the TV won't save my wireless configuration i should configure it whenever I first turn on the tv screen. I had to call Samsung support to realize exactly what the error was and they also were conscious of the situation. A bit annoyance however it is not really a huge problem since I'm creating my 5.1 environment i will get a Logitech Harmony remote to manipulate everything and so i will not be using my phone.
Other than that, no dead pixels, no flash lightning or anything prefer that. This TV is rock solid, I am hoping it can stay that way not less than 5-6 years! :)
I would recommend this TV to the one everyday. I am aware the updated versions are wonderful but this TV must be heavy discounted now.

first is my main complaint there is merely one a/v slot and 1 rca slot which means that your limited in what you've add if you decide to have ps3 and a 360 you will need a 4 way switch and when you have a theater set your in big trouble but a rca/av switch fixes this challenge. additional problems is the built-in wifi the signal is extremeley weak. My router is 8 feet outside the tv and watching youtube or a few of the movies it's got integrated stream extremley slow or dont stream in any respect also the power adapter is quite short about 1 foot long so that it must be extremely near to an outlet but all in all i rate this tv a 9.2

LED vs. Plasma: My Own Test!
So my choices came down to those:
1) Get a Samsung Plasma
2) Get a Samsung LED
Right now, for cash, a Samsung e-Series Plasma is a good television. - but it's not the LED. Not by the long-shot. You could get a fantastic Samsung Plasma 50" for $700-800. The comparable 55" LED, according to the model you decide to go with (D-Series or E-Series) can run $1700-3,000.
As one last "test", I attended a store by incorporating Blu-Ray movies in-hand. I got the salesperson to setup the Blu-Ray player for the UN55D8000 - and experienced a series of comparisons with all the LED as well as the Plasma (Model PN51D530). LED display is well packed i had no problems connecting it to my new Denon multichannel surround sound system and Samsung BD-D6700 Blue-Ray 3D DVD player (also got a great deal on these from ABT).
I recommend finding a Samsung Blue-Ray using this type of TV. Best to match the brands = fewer compatibility problems.
Don't hesitate one second if you are considering another LED TV. I spent the last year watching and researching these displays as well as the D8000 is by far the best.
BTW, normal channels using your cable provider don't render well for this or some other HD LED TV. You MUST change your cable box for an HD model. Time Warner's HD channels start 700. All the HD channels are perfect on this TV. Just avoid getting worried when you exchange signal of a normal channel and yes it doesn't look good. It's not the LED display.
For a wonderful top end system, I propose this LED display along with the BD-D6700 blue-ray and also the Denon AVR-4311CI multichannel surround sound receiver with integrated amplifiers. It's all you want as well as a great set of speakers (recall the speakers are most crucial so don't go cheap on the speakers). I completely got rid of my B&K separate preamp and amplifiers (which were far more expensive) this also system sounds superior and is also easier to use!
And make sure you buy high quality things HDMI cables. They are directional, so make sure you connect them in the right manner.

I just purchased the 55" version with intends to upgrade from my 40" LED Samsung. Amazon used a carrier I haven't heard about before, so I was cautious of the. Nonetheless it ends up that, Pilot, would be a good carrier. I've now had this TV for only over a week(roughly 10 to 12 hours of play time a day) yet still no disappointment. The image has seem to only recover and more clear. It was like the LED lights necessary to loosen up as well as the image quality got better. I haven't only watched simple TV, sports, movies, 3D movies, and played games like racing, shooter, and sports games. For all those those who have brought up motion blur and fuzzy picures, must either possess a bad product or contain the settings setup wrong. For my picture settings I've it set to natural with all the back light set to fifteen from 20. My lounge is a bit darker than most so I do not like a bright TV. With that said, I have no motion blur what so ever. I've played Battlefield 3 multiplayer and Dirt 3, both with numerous action and movement, rather than one blur. I've also watched a couple 3D movies and they look fantastic about this TV.
I've had no issues so far and still have not were required to contact Samsung for anything. Only must i will post on here what the problem was and their solution. But so far I get ready the product and the rating We've trained with.
I know We are probably removing some stuff with this, if you decide to have questions, comments, concerns, do write i will reply back the moment it. I will likewise try to do another updated review after in regards to a month of owning it.|

A previous reviewer mentioned an issue pairing the laptop keyboard side of the remote. I had exactly the same problem, and chatted with a Samsung rep. This TV replaced another Samsung I bought a couple in the past...a 46" LCD. The picture is obviously superior to the existing TV, nevertheless the sound seems better too. I've got a Sony multichannel audio system which seems to sound better using this type of TV...I am not sure whether it's inside my head or otherwise not, nevertheless it seems I would not have to show up the quantity as loud on my multichannel audio system anymore. I also believe it is great that my Samsung remote can control my Sony head unit. My old TV couldn't make it happen. I also downloaded a free of charge iPhone app in order to use my phone being a handheld remote control too. The smart TV features are great. I didn't see myself along with them at all, but I use them. I avoid the 3D glasses whatsoever...I tried them with Arkham City on PS3 only to give them a go. I've never been hot for 3D, specially the glasses, which means this isn't a problem specific for this TV.
Blu rays, DVDs, TV, PS3, and Netflix all look fantastic for this TV. Just like all others has said, the TV itself also looks amazing. I'm unclear if I'd pay the car or truck of $3,700 for this TV, or any TV for that matter...but I was able to find it for $2,000 with free delivery. I was a little worried about paying that much for a TV, but I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase up to now. I think sizzling hot I'd become dissatisfied with this particular purchase is actually one of the following happens: 1)the retail price drops to $1,000 within the next almost a year 2)much better television technology makes this set obsolete over the following several months or 3)the television craps on me following the warranty expires.
I strongly suggest this television to whoever has a couple thousand dollars burning over a TV. When I had been at Best Buy and comparing the picture quality on this TV to all or any another ones, this actually was the top. Just be cautious where you input it as the screen has a certain amount of reflection inside it when the screen goes dark. So - that being all said - We've followed the price tag on this group of TVs going back 11 months with the goal of purchasing around this time of the year - saw Amazon were built with a great deal - so we took benefit from it. Now - after spending a little while researching and reading reviews don and doff the past 11 months I became worried about several things - mainly people's bad experiences to keep an eye out for a few things.
We received our TV yesterday evening - There were no damage in shipping (many thanks Amazon free of charge shipping!) The delivery company unpacked as well as set inside the TV and stayed until I tested it and was satisfied in it's condition upon delivery (I wasn't expecting that).
The TV itself - comparing it with all the only TV I've owned - (because I've noticed it is precisely what most of the people do, however most surveys are from individuals who have had multiple TVs (flat panel and otherwise) - this Samsung is absolutly breath taking. Out in the box we watched "How to coach your Dragon" on Blue-Ray. I have to say -with our pre existing home stereo - this became initially actually (for not enough better words) experienced that movie. We watched it with no ambient lights on - there was no LED pixels bleeding anywhere - no cloudy images (to my untrained eyes). Due to my complete lack of experience with more expensive TVs - this is without doubt a Upscale after day 1. I'll leave more feedback if it changes. I certainly hope I do not need to use Samsung customer service according to all the negative experince folks have had using them. I also purchased the SquareTrade warranty - so, which will at the very least cover my final cost. More to follow along with if necessary.

Ok, and so i have the TV delivered, and what do I've found? 2 pairs of 3d glasses were included, and when I visited set the each of the calibration stuff, these folks were already as near as you can get to perfect (compaired towards the settings I ran across online. Yea!). I guess Samsung continues to be making time for the clientele, and took proper care of the glasses and calibration complaints before sending these TVs out. I had been happy, to put it mildly!!!
Reviews mentioned other concerns also, but to date, I do not go to whichever in the halos, blue corners, or white dot I keep hearing about, and i also have no idea if those problems are that wide-spread while they were before. Also pointed out that a lot of the complaints in regards to the screens were from people who bought screens bigger than 46" (50" and above).
I'm pleased with my Samsung 3d HDTV. Now all I have to do is get familiar with all of the features :)

Having got a new TV from Amazon previously, I felt totally comfortable ordering from their website again. The TV was given by Paul's TVs, which has been never ordered anything from previously, but after seeing each of the reviews that are positive, I felt reassured. The key reason for getting this TV through Amazon vs a huge box retailer dropped to the price. Local retailers were charging $400-$600 MORE because of this identical TV, and Amazon had free delivery.
The TV was scheduled for delivery between 10am and 1pm, and yes it was delivered exactly at 12pm. The men from the shipping company were kind and professional. They made i was happy with the system prior to you signing the delivery forms. They provided certain to unpack the TV for me personally also to make physical inspection in the unit too. Additionally, they wanted to set up the device for me, but I declined at all like me completely good at handling that myself.
Now on to the TV...
After connecting my TiVo and getting everything connected, I switched on it. It automatically took me from the setup process. It found my wireless and i also surely could connect quickly. I can't wait to get a few more titles in 3D now.
If there is a smartphone, like most people do now, there are apps available that simulate the handy remote control on your own phone so you can takes place phone as being a remote - how cool is always that! I downloaded the app to my iPhone and now I have another remote for my TV. Also i possess the remote app for my TiVo too.
**NOTE**: The remote for your TV has to be pointed with the TV because of it to operate it's best. In the event you point it slightly off-angle it won't apparently send the signal on the TV. Be sure that you point it with the TV and you'll be fine. The TiVo remote does not need line-of-sight to be effective, but apparently this does, try to be alert to it.
To summarize my review, if you are considering this TV as well as a plasma or another label of TV, don't even hesitate to obtain this TV. It's just the most effective and blows away the quality (or lack there of) of other brands. I compared this TV with Panasonic's, Sony's, Sharps, etc. which others cannot compare. The one thing I possibly could not appear to get any info on was the component / composite connections. I own a few old AV components that will require the analog connections. So, for any person else in similar circumstances, the set features a mini-jack connector (two prong 1/8") which allows for one component the other composite connection. This will work fine until I'm able to update these older components.
Also, the manual does not give you the detailed information in pairing the remote. I needed to get in touch with Samsung Customer Service which was very helpful but nonetheless took some time to find the missing details. When pairing the remote - the remote *** Should be Below EIGHT INCHES Out of the TELEVISION *** Hopefully, future manuals will be updated to reflect this missing detail.

You may have some flash lighting in a dark room. I hated this to start with but it's only noticeable for the reason that blacks are so intensely black. After i examine other TV's now their blacks look grey if you ask me and it drives me nuts. A bit flashlighting on loading screens and what not is entirely acceptable in my experience, while you never find it watching or playing anything along with the blacks are incredible.
The Smart TV stuff is pretty laggy. they've made the processor dual core in the newer models.
I've had this TV for upwards of per year now and I like it. I'd recommend using the ECO solution stuff to dim the backlight in dark rooms just so that you do not begin to see the flashlighting just as easily, and also at full brightness in the dark room this TV way too bright anyways.
Also, Samsung support is fantastic. My C series started having some weird lighting issues and they replaced it with this particular TV! In addition they were required to send a tech over to replace the board on this TV when it bricked during a firmware update. It only takes them a few days to send the guy directly to your home.

BEST TV I've ever bought
I first have experienced a GREAT experience with ALL Samsung TV's, which the first is the same. I have been employing this puppy approximately 12 months now and it is still spot on and never ceases to impress my girlfriends.
Bought it when it first arrived, carefully examined packaging and pixels. Maybe my eyes deceive me, however i scanned a couple of times with some friends so we all couldn't find a dead pixel (that's very unlikely). Build took minutes.
Picture quality, is extremely challenging to define and clearly a few of the reviews allow me to share fuzy. "Oh it's too dark, it's too bright, too much color" But also in another review, it's interpreted as "Deep beautiful blacks, crisp sharp illumination, dynamic popping refined colors." Having that said, there are some things which might be consistently important, and i also can say this model hits all of it. Faithful reproduction of geometry and colors. Personally, i such as the 240hz, although if you have not witnessed it's may take serious amounts of adapt to and it is not for everybody. Adjustment options plentiful, and may please most critics, whether it is subjective as it can. Images are extremely uniform edge to edge, there's no "bright or dark" corners/borders.
If you play video gaming, be sure you turn on "Game Mode", it will prevent "lag" issues. Breathtaking gaming once you obtain it set up.
3D, the best of all the models, including a number of Samsung's own, while i tried many of them at various retailers F??'s and B??? B??s. And I'm really bothered by folks who say "oh it's dark, it's dark colored." Seriously, that is the limit of the technology. You cannot point at wheels of an car and the tires are far too round. Active shutter is "SHUTTING" shades to generate images in 3D. Why don't we just think of it as "rich beautiful deepening with the black" also? And yes, you can create it bright to pay, but you'd also have to adjust the contrast, so it will be possible to adapt but I'm certain individuals will complain "I want to do that everytime for 3D?" When it bothers you, don't purchase it, Active Shutter 3D is not for you personally, it is not a good "con."

The Allshare / SmartTV are nice features, but please SPEED UP the apps. They're upsettingly slow.
Menu speed overall could be improved also. Many of the features take time and effort to get at. Game Mode, in truth, needs to be an essential feature and never be so deep in the menu.
Internet speed not quick enough. Hardwired into my router, my 3g phone still run circles around it loading websites etc.
The remote controller eats batteries too fast (were required to buy rechargeable batteries)
*FIXED* Annoying popup screen for firmware update (Appreciate stopping that)
Would be nice to come with more 3d glasses.
I think they are more nitpicks, but overall, great investment.

The sole method i can see is always to manually adjust the settings forward and backward. It is good if you can set Custom one batch of settings, and one from the other 4 modes completely to another setting.
This way, if you watch sports, i will consider the high quality mode (where the soap opera effect doesnt matter), then swich to the toned down mode if you watch "normal" tv.
Anyway, sorry again for your no-tech words here, im writing this while from my tv.

Picture quality:
The picture quality is phenominal, the shades come through clear, and i also don't have any "halo" effect, with one exception, occasionally in 3-D mode when the picture is actually dark I notice hook "halo" effect round the fringe of the screen. The new I noticed I believed "Oh Crap, I would have heard one other reviews!" Then I began to realize who's only happened in 3-D mode, then with further testing\trouble shooting, I remarked that the "halo" effect would always happen about the same shows\commercials\movies, and on the movies and commercials always at the same places. So, When i found a non 3-D DVD that will have the halo effect when I position the tv into 3-D mode. I then watched exactly the same scene Half a dozen times and saw the effect looked the same and would start and stop at the very same time whenever I watched it. I then took it away from 3-D mode and watched the identical scene and no halo effect. My conclusion... TV is okay, but maybe it has issues sometimes working with older recording formats. I haven't fully tested and never plan to, however it does seem will be able to narrow the issue right down to older movies, or poor recorded tv shows. I have seen that when I watch a show on "regular" channels I sometimes understand the halo effect, but if I watch a similar show while on an HD channel I do not begin to see the effect. In any case I will keep making notes of after i notice it, and pay very close attention whether or not this starts happening with greater frequency. I may also come here every now and then and post my findings.
Smart Hub:
I love this feature on my own TV, once more We have it I can not ever see me going with a TV that does not have it.
Netflix: Plays videos great easily, even HD videos come through clear with no buffering problems. The interface is not as inclusive while i would love, that is most likely a concern with Netflix, not Samsung. Also its very annoying to own qwerty remote, but nevertheless be forced to use the onscreen keyboard for Netflix, but again In my opinion that you will find the Netflix App not being built to accept the remotes qwerty input again laying the situation with netflix.
Web Browser: I enjoy browsing online on my small TV, once I assumed out how the center button for the directional pad was actually a touch mouse pad it made browsing easier still. The only issue I've had to date is the fact that playing video from some websites does not work well, it either will not play in any respect, or it freezes up after a few minutes of play. But which is not most of a problem as most of the videos I watch I can use the Youtube App, or Facebook App to see.
You Tube: No issues here, I can search and play videos and achieving no problems watching a few things i want.
Facebook: The interface is limited when compared to full web version, but I have discovered that to be real with only about every Facebook application I have tried personally. I used apps on the I-Phone, Android, Blackberry, and X-Box 360 as well as them limit what you could and should not do. Its still nice every single child check status updates and whatnot during comercial breaks.
App Store: Fun, but I avoid it much, with having n X-Box 360 I would not see much need in it.
Hulu: I haven't used this application except to watch some of the free clips, I still not upgraded my Hulu account, but when I do and delay as effective as the free clips do, I may cancel my Cable completely.
I really haven't messed with many with the other applications around the Smarthub therefore i cannot comment on them, but of the applications Personally i have tried We have no real complaints, and any I do mostly fall on the developer with the application.|

Everything relating to this TV is good. The picture and 3D effects are perfect, almost unreal. The sound is very useful. The Wi-Fi and lots of Apps provides many choices of entertainment (currently I have not had the opportunity to explore every one of them). The television is sold with two pairs of 3D glasses rechargeable. These glasses are lighter and adaptive to facial contours in case you use glasses (like me).
Like pretty much everything weren't enough, it features a beautiful and stylish design. Starting in the base (Quad Stand), about 1 " wide and also the Ultra Slim Bezel practically cause you to see only the beautiful screen encompassed by an elegant silver border!
Definitely the best choice. It hardly any moves me see a cinema!

The another thing I've noticed immediately is the screen has some trouble rendering slow scenes smoothly. Probably some fine tuning will do but every matter of moments or so it does have a little jitter.
3D is the thing that it's. Conversion isn't bad, however i will not deploying it often apart from to show it well.
Finally, aesthetically, being used beautiful - far beyond anything I really could have guessed investigating pictures. It's just like a top quality electronic device. Even 7000 series looks downright plasticy and cheap next to it.
If you get it - have fun with this!

As far as picture, I think it is excellent. I did tone the contrast and brightness down in the factory settings to suit my taste but everyone that sees it loves it. We didn't really want the 3D feature yet but actually have enjoyed a few 3D movies. The couple of glasses which it ships with are nice for me. Better compared to the ones on display on the market. The price was excellent through Amazon.com. The price dropped to $1,309.76 with free delivery and hang up up. After I ordered it, it dropped another $17.00 to $1294.00 i made a call and they also refunded the gap. It wasn't that low since. I got it before Christmas and yes it was delivered within a couple days. It shipped with White Glove build which my spouse was required to sign a waiver for to get them leave it in the box. I desired to possess the honors. Frys and Best Buy declared Amazon's price was less than their cost and couldn't match locally.
The sound in the integrated speakers aren't great as well as in my estimation should be run through an entertainment system. I cant imagine how big of speakers they squeezed in to the thin TV cabinet. It does, however sound great through my Denon AVR1912 system.
In review of my review the other other note:
1. I love the picture size. The only thing regarding the picture I can't like will be the glass surface that reflects any lights on in the shadows if you are watching a film. During regular TV watching, I can't even notice it. I guess I buy more critical when watching a show.
2. Speakers really are a little tinny sounding automatically, but I don't realize that since it plays through my AVR receiver now.
I would buy it again and recommend it to friends.|

Pros:
The 3D is preferable to expected! Movies have grown to be an immersive viewing experience. The picture and depth really puts you inside the story.
No ghosting with games or movies. Huge relief for me personally because I virtually bought this TV for anticipation from the new game releases this fall: Battlefield 3 and Gears of War 3 for that 360.

Watch your PC/NAS media number of movies/pictures/mp3s by using the TV DLNA capability. Awesome feature. My GF just delivered from the trip and that we held a slideshow of her pictures from her laptop for family viewing before the silver screen.
Cons:
Sound is great but not great. Get a soundbar or AVR to go with this beauty. If you're spending this sort of funds on a TV you mustn't offer an issue justifying the additional purchase.

The picture quality on this TV is extremely good, however the sound could have been just a little better. I've mine associated with my Sony 3d blu-ray player multichannel system, so the sound is actually good now.

Set-up and connection to the internet was easy, although I'm not impressed with many of the "Smart TV" content. The internet browser rule isn't followed with lots of of my personal favorite websites. The QWERTY keyboard might be a hard to use and also the bluetooth pairing required that the laptop keyboard take place within 5-inches from the TV. This became not mentioned anywhere in the user manual.
Also, the code that could let the TV off/on function with my A/V receiver remote is not found. Samsung says it is the A/V manufacturer's problem, and they also say it's Samsungs. Go figure.

Microdimming fails to deliver of Sharp Elite and Sony HX929 local dimming full backlit where I'd award a 5 but at a significant cost increase naturally. My technique is to wait 12 months and rotate this TV to my other room and have a 70" Elite Gen2 panel through then your pricing by Sharp may be such that I end up with two TV's for your price I'd buy Gen1 Elite today. Patience is Bitter but it is Fruit is nice!

I had set up an Internet, it turned out breeze, never dropped net connection, updated itself effortlessly widgets. They've got all, no requirement to choose the tuner or blue ray with wifi. Amazon instant is missing, however i hope they get in the future. I read some reviews about internet, browser and key board sluggish. But I never experienced this challenge. It is as fast as Doing work on laptop. Only thing is you should enjoy the tiny quarty keyboard. I see one menu for online support. Looks like they could do remoting and debug your TV. One of the reviewer tried here. Unclear if every one of Support staff understands this. But nice feature.
It included 2 3D glasses and charger. Tested 3D with samsung's build in widgets and library. WOw!!!..2D to 3D is a useful one. Downloaded Yahoo widgets. I do believe all we are missing could be the 500GB disk for dvr/storage and inbuilt camera for video chat. This TV is so perfect. I'll calibrate and post the results again. The lighted Samsung logo is so sophisticated. I like Samy. The sound at level 10 fills my children room. People that complain about low sound should set to standard sound mode as an alternative to movie and enable multichannel audio effect. I would suggest this TV to who's on fence.
Question about bezel: Once i visited Best Buy the Bezel was all chrome, though the one I managed to get in your own home has little black border inside nearby the screen and chrome bezel around it. Perhaps there is any difference with UN55D8000Y and UN55D8000YFXZA?
Update 12/18: I saw a cost drop on Amazon yesterday evening and requested a cost adjustment online. They replied back with price adjustment and to my surprise they themselves found low cost from different vendor(Vann's). Thank you Amazon. They exceeded my expectations.

Purchased from Amazon with Prime shipping, I became very pleased with all the scheduling and also the method by which the product or service was delivered. I am disappointed with all the remote however. I thought the QWERTY remote would be a cool idea but mine is generally a little slow to reply and i also need to press the buttons quite difficult. One way to around this problem is to use Samsung's remote app for that iPhone and Droid. All the other features that I've tried work effectively and just weren't problematic to create. Netflix movies stream okay over the built-in wireless. Certainly with other people on the quality of sound. This isn't the TV's forte but many owners have in all probability external sound systems anyway and don't permitted this to deficiency downgrade the knowledge. An excellent sound bar, probably any soundbar, will be a sufficient improvement inside audio.
I would also love to note the outstanding service from the delivery company chosen by Amazon, Ceva Freight Management. The 3D functionality is impressive along with the included glasses work adequately. Somewhat disappointing would be the apps (applications) that are included with this product. First: the design is excellent, the television is beautiful and lightweight
The image: excellent is the better of it's kind, you can view real HD, its a lot better than the certainty, hehe, you'll be able to configure a lot of things to make you pleased with the look, on the beggining you'll be able to notice some glare inside the corners and also the borders but not until the tv screen is black, when you're playing a motion picture or watching anything it is not a difficulty i didnrrrt noticed any ghosting.
Remote:
It do it's job is confortable and respond so well, is not hard to pair i only did it 1 or 2 times.
Is anoying that there is only backlight for the tv remote side, the qwerty side doesn't always have, you must position the side in the remote that you will be using facing around control the TV, the qwerty keyboard isn't so fluid along with the trackpad too, it is not a universal remote and that means you can't control everything else compared to TV.
3D:
The 3D experience is very useful, i saw some bluray 3d movies and it is superior to visit the movie theater, you can observe the stuff poping off the display. The 2d to 3d function is superb, you can see a in the borders, but isn't much like 3d content. I liked a great deal playing dirt3 with my xbox wheel as well as the 2d to 3d functiong it adds reality for the game.

They are confortable and light-weight, the battery every day life is great, they seem fragile.

Smart Hub is interesting, but I avoid using it much. Nearly all of what it does, is duplicated by other media devices I already own.
- It may be slow
- Netflix App isn't as good because Apple TV
- Can't work out how to go forward inside the "Explore 3D" app. It only skips A few seconds then needs to buffer the playback quality again.
3D is a bit more compelling than expected, but I still can't imagine watching a full movie. It really is great for demos though. Additionally there is a lots of content on the "Explore 3D" app for the Smart Hub.
Streaming from Netflix HD or Apple TV can be shown pretty pixelated where it seems fine on my small 40" Samsung within the bedroom.
Haven't noticed any screen uniformity issues yet, however i will update basically do.
I do notice something I do think is called "ghosting" by incorporating images. Mostly when I am watching sports highlights in HD. a small amount of a graphic round the action-packed person. I hope that makes sense.

I bought this 8000 series LED to replace my 8500 series LCD from two years ago and have no regrets aside from the display quality received from my Mac Mini to the. The resolution for your 46" LCD looked more clean and smoother than this 8000 series 55" when plugged into my Mac Mini however, not really a complaint since its practically the same resolution however its just attempting to stretch against each other fully 55" so it looks a bit grainy even at full HD resolution. Blu-ray and also other media looks amazing! 3D wise...well, I was expecting more nonetheless it was the top looking out of all the other 3D TVs on the market right this moment.
This thing has Far too many FEATURES! Netflix, Pandora, BBC News, and misc other apps! I can use my iPod touch and downloaded app to manipulate TV and it is many features. Wireless internal. 2 rechargeable active shutter glasses packaged in the box. Although a bit costly in comparison to other brands, We have no regrets sticking with Samsung (especially this 8000 series). Shopped around for months to see if I could understand this model cheaper but Amazon.com was the least expensive, got the zero APR financing and so i weren't required to link my cash and i also might take my sweet time to cash without worries appealing, did not have to spend on tax or shipping (they bring it in and unpack for you personally too if you need), and they included the Shrek/Megamind 3D starter kit and 3D Blu-ray!
Overall, NO REGRETS and LOVE my new TV!!! Would obtain Amazon.com again!
I'm deeply in love with my new set
I feel that we paid an even more then reasonable price for your set. I checked prices all over the internet and also physical stores with their special sales. I purchase a lot of things on Amazon and possess never been unhappy with the product or service.
The picture quality is exceptional and i also don/t need it hooked up to my Digital cable box yet. That comes in the future from Time Warner. The quality of sound from the set is adequate and I don't even think I am going to invest in multichannel audio yet. I love the very slim frame. The picture appears to be a complete bleed print. I recommend this set, the shipper, the complete experience. I was somewhat concerned reading other reviews about the shipper however i had no problems. I are able to see that my hubby is going to be a whole new TV inactive. We were not big TV watchers however i observe how that's going to change. Movie and popcorn anyone?
We are in possession of had our TV per week and Time Warner sent us our HD Cable Box. I thought the picture was awesome before?? My husband arrived, I switched on the set anf the husband sat with his mouth open speechless. This is our first knowledge about a designated screen, LCD set and that we are speechless. We are experiencing some trouble pairing our remote and can consider the advise of others and do it better the tv screen. My only complaint if there is you are that people require a better user help guide to get us through all of the settings. We never have had time for it to check out the 3D glasses confirmed but hopefully with one extra day off we could have a whirl.
Samsung, you did it. We haven't experienced the halo relation to our set. The colors are bright, the image quality is impressive and what more may i say.

I am delighted with all the picture and sound. It's not at all hooked up to my multichannel surround sound yet though the sound is fine as they are and so i am sure it'll be great once to make sure installed.
I haven't used the opposite features yet including internet and 3D so I can't discuss that aspect.

After we purchased the cost dropped on Amazon and that i put in a price match request that has been declined (for stupid reasons I will not go into). One call to Amazon customer support and i also was quickly credited with the difference, however the price had changed (AGAIN!!). They set it up the purchase price match in my original request which took it into $1908. A+ for that.
